GanjaGecko 3 seeds of LemonOrange from GreenHouseSeeds were soaked in a glass of water with 2 drops of Seedbooster from Plagron for about 15 hours. After about 15 hours in the water glass, the ladies went into small seedling pots. After 3 days in the seedling pots, the first lady emerged, and on the 4th day, the second lady saw the light of day. Will the third one come? We'll see. I don't think so. One seed was a bit deformed. I hadn't marked which seedling pot I put it in. I strongly suspect that's the dud. So it's clear which two of the three ladies will go into the garden. Next week, the two ladies will find their place in 12L fabric pots each. The substrate mix consists of about 75% BioBizz Lightmix and about 25% coco with perlite. On top of the finished substrate mix, about 10% Megaworm from Plagron will be added. It was watered with 1g/L BioEnhancer and 1ml/L PowerRoots. The pH value was adjusted to 6.0 before watering. Each lady received about 30-40ml to start in the seedling pots. With a small heating mat and the domes on the pots, a warm and humid climate is provided, which the ladies need at the beginning to germinate. On the day the ladies see the light of day, the domes come off, and the ladies will also feel their first breaths of air. ___________________________________ Description 70% SATIVA - 30% INDICA THC: 29.50% CBD: 0.20% CBN: 0.36% Genetics Super Lemon Haze X Clementine Effects The effects are very balanced from the citrusy terpenes that will give you some euphoric feeling, and the earthier background that will give you a sweet head buzz that can last for a while. Indoor Flowering Cycle: 9 weeks Yield: High Outdoor Harvest: 4th Week September Average Height: 170 - 200 cm Yield: 800g/plant Description The Lemon Orange is the ideal strain for citrus lovers. The mix of our all-time champion, the Super Lemon Haze, with our own selection of Clementine from the Crockett family, which expresses some intense sweet clementine juice aromas without the acidity. Pure sweetness for the palate. The combination has resulted in an amazing mix of lemon and orange flavors, accompanied by some delicate earthiness background inherited from Super Lemon Haze on the inhale. A pure delicacy for the mouth that will range from fresh lemon on the inhale to an orangey earthiness on the exhale. The effects are very balanced between the citrusy terpenes that will give you a euphoric feeling and the earthier background that will give you a sweet head buzz that can last a while. The most expressed terpenes are Terpineol, D-Limonene, and β-Caryophyllene. The plant itself is beautifully structured and vigorous, with some strong secondary branches that will compete for the top. It will produce some very frosty and compact flowers full of aromas, with some fat and sharp calyx whose very aesthetic flowers glitters in the light. Its strong citrusy smell will get an extra touch of sweetness during the last 2 weeks of flowering.

GanjaGecko Yesterday on day 6, I repotted. The two ladies moved into 12L fabric pots. The two ladies have now settled comfortably in the 60×60×180cm tent from Spiderfarmer under the Sanlight EVO 3-60 1.5 with a maximum output of 200W. The full power won't be used here; 150W is completely sufficient for 60×60cm. Lady#3, as expected, did not make it. I checked again, it was the deformed seed that didn't germinate. We now have 12L fabric pots again. I've made a compromise with myself that if only one out of three seeds comes up, a new run won't be started; instead, that one seed will get a 15-19L fabric pot and stay in the growth phase for a week longer, meaning 6-7 weeks of growth, be trained a bit more, and then in the end have a similar yield as with two ladies in 12L pots. If two or three ladies germinate, there will be two 12L fabric pots. In the 60×60cm tent, two 15L pots are doable, but during the flowering phase, it becomes a bit of a challenge to maintain the humidity with 30L freshly watered pots in the tent at a good level. The grows with two 12L pots have definitely been easier in that regard. Since you have much better control over the VPD value, I think the slightly smaller pots won't make a difference in the amount of harvest in the end. Whether it's two 15L pots with fluctuating VPD values in the "good" range or two 12L pots almost permanently in a very good VPD value, a better metabolism occurs, leading to better nutrient uptake. So that's definitely the theory. 😄 The substrate mix consists of about 80% BioBizz Lightmix and about 20% coco with perlite (70/30). For the growth phase, there's about 11L of substrate for each pot. The last liter of substrate will be added with the flowering fertilizer when switching the light cycle to 12/12. Additionally, for soil improvement, there was: - 1TL/L Mega - 5% BioChar - 2g/L rock dust In the pot where the ladies found their place, the hole where the ladies are set was sprinkled with some Great White Mycorrhiza and Dynomyco Mycorrhiza. On the surface, there were 50g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding, which was thoroughly mixed into the surface of the substrate. The soil was moistened with a pressure sprayer/tree sprayer, and then each of the two ladies received 100ml in the saucers, followed by 250ml + 250ml from above into the pot at a pH of 6.0. So each lady got 600ml. At the beginning, it's not about completely watering the substrate; it should evenly store moisture so that the small roots are not crushed or drowned and can stretch nicely into the substrate. Additionally, nematodes were added to the water to prevent the pesky fungus gnats. The Sanlight EVO 3-60 1.5 was dimmed to 40% on day 6. This gives the ladies around 400ppfd. The distance from the LED to the ladies is 40cm. _________________________________ Height measured from substrate surface #1 5cm #2 4cm

GanjaGecko WEEK 2 // D8 - D14 Week 2 didn’t have much to do. Watering was done carefully and I made sure that the environmental conditions were somewhat in the optimal range. The little side shoots of the ladies are also in quite a hurry. This gives hope for a quickly filled tent. Lady#1 is growing a bit faster, but she also has a one-day head start. This will be better controlled with the topping at the latest next week. Lady#2 was slightly shorter at 2cm to ensure both ladies receive the same amount of light. So far, both ladies have dreamy internodes, and as mentioned, the side shoots are really eager to keep up. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept in motion 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. I take as much as the ladies demand and mix in one or another additive, depending on the ladies' stage. From about week 5, I will water with approximately 10% of the pot volume. This is done in three parts with a 20-30 minute interval. Before each watering, the surface of the substrate is moistened. On Day 8, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 1ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost, 1ml/L Orgatrex. For both, there was 400ml in the pot and 100ml in the saucer. On Day 10, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 1ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost. For both, there was 400ml in the pot and 100ml in the saucer. On Day 13, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 1ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost, 1ml/L Orgatrex. GanjaGecko WEEK 3 // D15 - D21 This week both ladies were topped with a one-day offset. Lady#1 on day 18 and Lady#2 on day 19. Both handled the topping well. Lady#2 looks super healthy. Lady#1's leaves are drooping a bit more and she looks a little off. That can be ruled out for now. Both are getting the same amount of water, but Lady#1 is a bit taller and could probably handle 50-100ml more. Today on day 21 I measured the soil pH of both ladies. I was shocked to find that on the left, Lady#1 has a soil pH of 6.5, while Lady#2 on the right has a soil pH of 7.7 😩 I can't quite explain that. Sure, yesterday I watered with BioEnhancer, which raises the pH, but the pH is adjusted before watering. I will water continuously next week with a pH of 5.5 to bring the soil pH towards 6.0. With a coco content of about 20%, I think it's safe to water with a pH of 5.5, considering that with pure coco cultivation, the pH is at 5.0 during vegetation and at 6.0 during flowering. Maybe I should water Lady#1 with a pH of 5.5 and Lady#2 with a pH of 5.2-5.3. At the end of next week, I will check the soil pH again and provide an update. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept moving 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. I take as much as the ladies require and add one or another supplement, depending on the stage of the ladies. Starting around week 5, I will water with about 10% of the pot volume. This will be done in three parts with a 20-30 minute interval. Before each watering, the surface of the substrate is moistened. On day 15, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 1ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost. For both, there was 400ml in the pot and 100ml in the saucer. On day 17, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 1ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost. For both, there was 400ml in the pot and 100ml in the saucer. GanjaGecko WEEK 4 // D22 - D28 The first topping went well for both ladies. Lady#1 looks a bit sad still, but she will be trained harder due to her growth. The shoots need to be tied down a bit more, and four of her side shoots were topped again so that the lateral branches can catch up. Lady#2 will probably manage with LST. The growth is a bit slower, although she looks more vigorous than Lady#1. For Lady#2, the side shoots are being tied down again and again so that the lateral branches can catch up, and with a bit of luck, a nice even canopy will be formed by next week, allowing for a possible time adjustment. In the worst case, it will take another week longer. I'm concerned that if Lady#2 is topped again, the height difference will become too extreme. Therefore, the coming week will be a bit spontaneous. After watering with a strongly adjusted pH value that was necessary since the soil pH was not optimal, the soil pH for Lady#1 has gone from 7.7 to 6.5, and Lady#2 has now reached a normal value of 6. Therefore, Lady#1 will be watered again next week with a pH of 5.5, and Lady#2 will get 6.0. Maybe Lady#1 will look a bit fitter next week. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept in motion 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. As much is taken as the ladies demand, and it is supplemented with one or another additive depending on the stage of the ladies. From about week 5, watering will be done with about 10% of the pot volume. This is done in three parts with a spacing of 20-30 minutes. Before each watering, the surface of the substrate is moistened. Day 22 had 1ml/L SilicRock, 1ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost. For both, there was 600ml in the pot and 100ml in the saucer. Day 24 had 1ml/L SilicRock, 1ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost. For both, there was 600ml in the pot and 100ml in the saucer. GanjaGecko WEEK 5 // D29 - D35 In week 5, both ladies have started drinking quite a bit, so they are being watered with about 10% of their pot volume every 2 days. Lady #1 and #2 were topped again on two shoots each to give the side shoots a chance to catch up and create an even canopy. The two main shoots of Lady #1 were tied down a bit with wires. The growth of Lady #1 needs to be kept a bit more under control as she is very motivated to grow. On the other hand, Lady #2 isn't quite as motivated as Lady #1 😄. Today, during the day, or at the latest tomorrow, the first layer of the Scrog net will be installed so that the shoots can be distributed a bit better and to further promote the even canopy. By the end of next week at the latest, both will be ready for the light cycle to be switched from 18/6 to 12/12, thus initiating the flowering phase. The soil pH value is now back in the range of 6.0 +/- 0.1 for both ladies. So from next week, the pH value can be raised towards 6.5 during flowering. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept in motion 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. GanjaGecko WEEK 6 // D36 - D42 In week 6, the SCROG net was installed so that the still somewhat longer main stems can be trained a bit and the side branches can catch up a little. Overall, they have become two nice, dense bushes that can confidently be sent into flowering today on day 42. Today is the first day of the 12/12 light cycle. The main stems that are still a bit longer will be gently pressed and twisted at the beginning. A kind of light-cropping. Additionally, here and there, the main stems are guided under the SCROG net to promote an even canopy. The major defoliation will take place with lollipopping towards the end of the second week of flowering. Until then, only a few individual leaves will be removed here and there. On the penultimate day of the week (D41), the flowering fertilizer was added. The last liter of substrate and the additives were put into the pots. The substrate is a mix of about 80% BioBizz Lightmix and 20% coco with perlite. The ladies have a total of 12L of substrate, 55g of BioBloom (4.5g/L) from GreenHouseFeeding, 12TL of Megaworm (1TL/L substrate). Worm humus is rich in nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, as well as trace elements like iron, manganese, copper, and zinc. It provides important microorganisms and plant hormones for a healthy soil life. 3TL of Bat Guano (1tsp/4L substrate) with an NPK of 3-15-4 makes the Bat Guano from Plagron a great organic flowering booster. A bit of Dynomyco mycorrhiza and some Great White mycorrhiza were also added. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept in motion 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. As much is taken as the ladies require and mixed with one or another additive, depending on the ladies' stage. From the end of week 4 to the beginning of week 5, watering is done with about 10-15% of the pot volume. This is done in three parts with an interval of 20-30 minutes. Before each watering, the surface of the substrate is moistened. On day 36, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost. For both, there was 1.1L in the pot and 200ml in the saucer. On day 37, both ladies received 600ml of water at a pH of 6.0. On day 38, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L Alfaboost. For both, there was 1.1L in the pot and 200ml in the saucer. On day 39, both ladies received 600ml of water at a pH of 6.0. On day 40, both ladies received 600ml of water at a pH of 6.0. GanjaGecko WEEK 7/1F // D43/1F - D49/7F In week 1 of the flowering phase, the visible stretch started after two days. Here and there, the longer shoots were guided under the SCROG net to help shape the even canopy. The thicker shoots were lightly pressed and twisted beforehand so they would grow more easily in the direction they are supposed to. Of course, I broke a shoot again. It's still connected by about 10%. The break point was supported with wire. So far, the shoot looks a bit battered but still quite healthy. If the spot isn't healed by next week, the shoot will be cut off. The flowering nutrients were given on the last day of the last week of vegetation. The last liter of substrate and the additives went into the pot. The substrate is a mix of about 75% BioBizz Lightmix and 25% coco with perlite. The ladies have a total of 12L of substrate, 60g BioBloom (4.5g/L) from GreenHouseFeeding, 15TL Megaworm (1TL/L substrate), 4TL Batguano (1tsp/4L substrate), some Dynomyco mycorrhiza, and some Great White mycorrhiza as well. The SanlightEVO 3-60 1.5 was dimmed to 50% (100W). This gives the ladies around 550 ppfd for the first 10 days of flowering. Additionally, the sleep and wake light was turned on. A Far Red light strip in the 730-745nm range - the Spider Farmer SUPP-IR 16. This turns on 13 minutes before the Sanlight comes on and goes off 2 minutes after the main lighting starts, simulating sunrise. Then the Far Red turns back on as a little sleep aid for 15 minutes before the Sanlight goes off and runs for 15 minutes after the Sanlight goes off, simulating sunset. The lighting with Far Red LEDs accelerates the metabolic shift after the light goes out. This allows the ladies to recover better at night and start the new day refreshed. Plants have an absorption spectrum that sees Far Red light as an indicator for the onset of darkness. We can take advantage of this fact with artificial lighting. The so-called phytochromes are responsible for the absorption of Far Red light waves. These are a type of photoreceptor proteins that influence a variety of plant growth processes. Phytochromes control processes such as germination, flowering, and photoperiodism, which is the regulation of the day-night rhythm. Essentially, there are two types or conformations of phytochromes in plants: The Pr form (r=red) has its absorption maximum at around 660 nm, and the Pfr form (fr=far red) at about 730 nm. What do phytochromes have to do with plant lights? Quite simply: By using the Far Red spectrum, relevant processes like photoperiodism can be specifically influenced to optimize nighttime recovery and thus photosynthesis, resulting in better yield outcomes. If the low-energy Far Red radiation stays on in the evening for about 10 to 15 minutes longer than the regular light, it acts as a "sleep initiator." Plants switch to their natural sleep mode faster this way and can use the extra time for recovery. (Source: https://www.pro-emit.de/ratgeber/schlafinitiierung-per-far-red/) ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept in motion 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. GanjaGecko WEEK 8/2F // D50/8F - D56/14F In flowering week 2, on day 8, the Sanlight EVO 3-60 1.5 was dimmed to 150W. This gives both LemonOrange around 850-900 ppfd. The broken shoot has already healed for me after two days, looking as if nothing ever happened. So far, a fairly even canopy has developed, and the tent is nicely filled. On the last day of the week, the shoots that hadn’t made it to the canopy were removed. Here and there, a good handful of leaves were taken off both ladies to ensure good air circulation. For Lady#2, the two wooden stakes that were used for support could also be removed mid-week. Lady#2 has slowly caught up, and both ladies are now pretty much even. By the end of the week, Lady#2 is already a bit taller. It looked different during the growth. The two wooden stakes that were initially under the saucer for Lady#2 are now under the saucer for Lady#1. There was also some lollipopping and defoliation. The small shoots that hadn’t made it towards the canopy by now wouldn’t have made it anymore and were removed along with the lower flower sites that would have only become popcorn buds. This way, the ladies can now direct their energy into the remaining shoots and produce thick, fat flowers. What’s crazy is that when you stick your nose in the tent, there’s already a super pleasant scent of clementine/tangerine. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: On day 50/8F, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.5ml/L BioCalMag, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L PK 5-8, 3ml/L Alfaboost. GanjaGecko WEEK 9/3F // D57/15F - D63/21F In flowering week 3, the SCROG net was lowered by 2-3cm to better distribute the branches. Midweek, Lady#1 was propped up a bit more and has since increased by 6cm. Lady#2, who was a bit shy at first, has a wonderful stretch and looks incredibly healthy. The internodes on both ladies are also nice and even, with a pleasant distance between them. During the week, the intense stretch slows down a bit. Lady#1 has only grown by 4cm and Lady#2 by 7cm. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: On Day 57/15F, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.5ml/L BioCalMag, 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L PK 5-8, 3ml/L Alfaboost. GanjaGecko WEEK 10/4F // D64/22F - D70/28F In flowering week 4, Lady#1 was raised again, and hopefully for the last time, by +2cm to a total of 8 cm. From now on, the difference in stretch between both ladies shouldn't be too pronounced anymore. The terps are magical. One is already "searching" for the reasons behind the naming. For Orange, it smells a bit too sour and lemony, and for Citrus, too much Orange comes through. Mandarin/Clementine describes it quite well. So, somehow LemonOrange after all 🤣 ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Day 64/22F received 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.5ml/L BioCalMag, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 2ml/L PK 5-8, 0.5ml/L GreenSensation, 3ml/L Alfaboost, 2ml/L StickyFingers. GanjaGecko WEEK 11/5F // D71/29F - D77/35F In flowering week 5, trichome and bud formation are in full swing. The smell in the tent is still so good that you can't get enough. After opening the tent, you take a deep inhale, exhale, and then inhale deeply again🤣 I'm incredibly excited to taste the buds. But it will still take a few more days. Due to the cold temperatures outside, the environmental conditions are super easy to control. So, not much had to be done except watering the ladies and providing them with a few extras. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: On day 71/29F, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.5ml/L BioCalMag, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 3ml/L PK 5-8, 0.5ml/L GreenSensation, 3ml/L Alfaboost, 2ml/L StickyFingers. GanjaGecko WEEK 12/6F // D78/36F - D84/42F In flowering week 6, the buds are noticeably gaining mass. It's really nice to see. They probably won't be the biggest buds, but they will be quite thick. Especially Lady#1 on the left in the tent is producing some nicely thick buds. The leaves of Lady on the right in the tent are gradually showing the first purple signs. Currently, the terps are leaning more towards the sour citrus scent, but you can still clearly notice the mandarin terps. I'm curious if the typical haze scent will also appear. So far, a very relaxed grow. ____________________________________ Fertilizing: Day 78/36F had 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.5ml/L BioCalMag, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 3ml/L PK 5-8, 0.5ml/L GreenSensation, 3ml/L Alfaboost, 2ml/L StickyFingers. GanjaGecko WEEK 13/7F // D85/43F - D91/49F In flowering week 7, more and more color came into the tent. The way the ladies look, they won't need 9 weeks. The trichomes are mostly milky, and the first trichomes are slowly turning amber. The buds in the middle area already look pretty juicy. So next week will be the last for both. The two ladies will get minimal water every day next week with adjusted pH, so they don't dry out and the flowers can continue to mature. The ladies will be harvested next week on day 54 of flowering. I believe this is also the fastest strain so far. Since there are no cuttings pushing, they will be dried in the tent again this time. Meanwhile, new seeds will be sent into the race at Christmas, which will spend their first week in the small 40x40x80cm propagation tent while the LemonOrange ladies dry. Merry Christmas to all Gromies! 💚 ____________________________________ Fertilizing: On day 85/43F, there was 1ml/L SilicRock, 0.5ml/L BioCalMag, 1ml/L SugarRoyal, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 3ml/L PK 5-8, 0.5ml/L GreenSensation, 3ml/L Alfaboost, 2ml/L StickyFingers. GanjaGecko WEEK 14/8F // D92/50F - D94/52F In flowering week 8, the last time on day 92/50F, each lady received 500ml of pH-corrected water. For the last few days, the LED was dimmed from 150W to 120W. This brought the temperature in the tent down to 25°C, which helps preserve the terps a bit towards harvest. The terps for Lady#1 are leaning more towards orange with lemon in the background, while Lady#2 has a lemony sourness with slight orange notes. On day 94/52F, both ladies were hung up to dry after a final trichome check. The two extra days compared to what was originally planned wouldn’t have changed much. With a bit of luck, the ladies can go into jars on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. The harvest update will come along with the smoke review once the ladies are dried and weighed into the jars. Merry Christmas and a few reflective days with your loved ones💚 ____________________________________ Fertilizing: On day 92/50F, both received 500ml in the pot. _____________________________ Height measured from substrate surface: #1(left) 75 cm #2(right) 84 cm ________________________________ Light Cycle: 12/12 Distance: 40cm Watt: 120W (60%) Ppfd: 800 DLI: 37 _______________________________ Environment Temp: 25°C RH: 35-40% VPD: 0.9 - 1.3 kPa

The LemonOrange from GreenHouseSeeds ran smoothly to the finish line during the grow. A very stress-free genetics. It has a rather moderate stretch and also shows quite tight internodes. Both ladies handled the topping super well. The terps are absolutely insane. Simply magical. Every time you entered the room where the LemonOrange was drying, you were greeted with a mandarin/lemony scent. Absolutely delicious!!! Even during the test smoke without curing, the mandarin terps are absolutely dominant. You would almost lean towards orange terps, but you notice the sour citrus note in the background too much. Therefore, I think it hits the point quite well with mandarin. I also think that the mandarin terps are too dominant to notice the typical haze scent; perhaps there is some phenotypic luck involved, but I think that the citrus/orange terps might come a bit shorter. A 3-seed pack is still in the fridge... The taste is absolutely what you expect from the smell. You actually only notice the mandarin/orange when exhaling. The effect doesn't take long to kick in. The eyes become a bit small, and you can feel how the body relaxes. The relaxed mind follows shortly after. The yield is unfortunately not overwhelming, but still quite solid. The buds have grown nicely firm and are full of trichomes. The terps have exceeded all expectations. Pheno#1 clearly leans towards mandarin. Pheno#2 leans more towards LemonHaze.

@Ganjin, thank you, I'm really excited too. I really hope for nice strong orange/lemon terps.

@GanjaGecko, In my case, I am simply curious why Arjan Roskam talks about this strain so much. He got me interested with this strain in his Strain Hunters expeditions. I can see it in so many videos with him! He is like Gollum who says 'My precious!" when he is talking about it. PS why did you choose this strain, Lemon Orange GHS?
Stony_German
Stony_German commentedweek 01y ago
Good luck with these phenos. I already tried Lemon Orange from a growmie. That was last year and it tasted insanely good. In terms of yield, it doesn't knock your socks off, but the quality is top-notch. If your pheno leans more towards Super Lemon Haze, a big yield is possible. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, buddy.
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented1y ago
@Stony_German, don't scare me 🤣 they were chosen because according to GreenHouseSeeds, high yield is to be expected. Let's see what the ladies will give in the end. As long as the terps blow me away and I at least hit 1g/Watt, everything is acceptable. More would of course be great, but we know from the BlueberryMuffin that there are also phenos that aren't so diligent 😄

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it delivers on yield too. Almost all phenos are supposed to have mega terps, but there are supposed to be high and low yielders. Good luck, my friend.
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented9mo ago
@Stony_German, the terps are already insane. Ahh okay, that's not good news. I chose them based on "high yield" claims🤣 I hope at least one, maybe even both, will produce well. We'll see in the next two weeks 💪🏼
Stony_German
Stony_German commented9mo ago
@GanjaGecko, I'm not aware of anyone regretting the grow of Lemon Orange. I wouldn't worry too much about that. What are a few grams less when the taste is top-notch?
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented9mo ago
@Stony_German, yes that's right! With the cuttings that follow each seed run, not every gram counts per grow anymore. That's now 2 more grows per year per tent. But the strains in the fridge aren't getting any less because of that🤣
HumanCompanion
HumanCompanion commentedweek 69mo ago
with so many thin branches coming out of the first two branches at the bottom, there is a risk of too many thin branches growing from thin branches. In short, I would delete those thin branches. They do not produce good buds anyway. PS but i can see that many people's approach is differentm and I clearly see the problems with that approach and consider it less effective than cleaner defoliation.
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented9mo ago
@HumanCompanion, I care more about the larvae of the fungus gnats in the soil. When there are to much fungus gnats larvae in the soil there is a chance that there are eating the roots then. And a heavy dryback to kill all the larvae in the soil is anything but beneficial to the growth of the plant, especially when she is fattening up her buds. In Livingsoil Nematodes are pretty normal. I didn't think that you can see spidermites blew away from stems. Spidermites are pretty small little yellow dots sit on the underside of the leaves and didnt only stay at the bottom of a plant. The will take the hole plant when you have them in the tent. And when you have them already you didnt get rid of them by only wind. In this case you need predetor-mites. No idea how they came in my tent... since i change some settings i never see them again
HumanCompanion
HumanCompanion commented9mo ago
@GanjaGecko, 1) heavy dryback is beneficial to the growth of the plant'' How exactly does it help cannabis grow better??? I did it to promote root growth, because I thought they had to search for water and got deep into substrate, but I am not sure it really helped. 2) I must have fooled myself about the wind blowing away spidermites (maybe those were children from the spider which was working for me in my tent at the moment. I let big spiders live in my tent. They look happy and effective). But I believe they just cannot get attached to the stem and get blown at the beginning, and not when they have already created their protective nets? Nice hypothesis?
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented9mo ago
@HumanCompanion, yea... in the beginning of the groth a controlled dry-back can be beneficial. But when its like i said in the middle of flowering it is anything but beneficial

Man, I'm growing the Lemon Orange because of the terps. It's not known for being high-yielding, but it's tasty. Haze terps would be awesome; I'd be excited about that if I were you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, buddy.
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented8mo ago
@Stony_German, yeah, the terps really enchant you. I was just hoping for a high yield because GreenHouseSeeds promotes LemonOrange as a "high-yielder." It's clear that you also need some phenotypic luck for the yield and terps to be on point. But the mandarin terps are amazing. If Haze comes through in the aroma or taste, that would be absolutely dreamy. That's why I couldn't resist Spyro and RedHotRosa. Especially with RedHotRosa, I'm hoping for a stable yield from the RedHotCookie mom. And when it comes to terps, I’m no longer worried about Titan. Even if it doesn't completely match the description, the terps have been amazing so far. I'm hoping for a delicious orange terp pheno from Spyro or RedHotRosa that also blesses you with yield. 😄

@GanjaGecko, PPF or PPFD changes when you move away from the center of the lamp, so the edges have lower PPF, and in the center its 1/3 stronger. You are a tech genius from Germany. Get that superspectrometer to measure this: ''When it is to close maybe not all parts of the plant will get the same amount of light''. We need numbers, not fears, don't we?

I can see that you are Ok with torturing her a lot, which means she is a photoperiod, right? Would you defoliate an autoflower the same way?
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented10mo ago
@HumanCompanion, I’ve also had photos with poor yield. With autos, you can never say for sure. As I mentioned, there are definitely good autos that can have a decent yield. If you choose the right strains for photos, you can get around 1.5g/W of light.

HumanCompanion commented10mo ago
@GanjaGecko, you are getting me intrigued with your gram per watt metric. I have seen it used by many growers, but I have not experimented with this parameter. I have always had cheap lamps, very cheap. And I was usually more than happy with the result, but last winter I had to buy this new lamp because electricity became difficult to get in my country. We are having blackouts and long periods without electricity (10 hours), so I had to start using powerbanks to give power to the lamp. I usually just cared about luxes/lumens, and those cheap lamps gave me enough, but I guess there was not enough PPF to give my plants enough energy for healthy living. PS people are so focused on this gram/watt metric, but should I really care? Maybe it is better to buy 3 cheap lamps instead of 1 specialized lamp with good gram/watt?
GanjaGecko
GanjaGecko commented10mo ago
@HumanCompanion, The problem with cheap lamps that aren't actually designed for this purpose is that the color spectrum is usually suboptimal. Let's say you have three cheap lamps that each consume 50W, for a total of 150W. A full-spectrum LED designed for this purpose, with 150W, provides more power and therefore also more ppfd (photosynthesis photon flux density), which indicates how much usable light reaches the plant. During the flowering phase, it's desirable to have around 800-900 ppfd. I can send you an app later that will allow you to somewhat monitor this. I'll send you a couple of links to LEDs with a good price/performance ratio later. What you could do is run a plant LED during the power supply period, which provides higher light density, and run the lamp on a power bank during the power-off period, so the day/night cycle isn't disrupted. This can also lead to problems. If this happens during flowering, the plant can become hermaphroditic. Automatic plants, on the other hand, don't experience light stress, so it's not a problem if the day/night cycle is disrupted. Normally, you aim for around 1g/W in terms of gram/W. You should be able to figure that out. As mentioned, with certain varieties, 1.5-2g/W can be achieved. But if you say you're satisfied with your results, there's no reason to worry about it.

So far, looking nice and homogeneous. The lower side branches are very strong. Maybe I would top them or use the Kyle Kushman chiropractic technique (you know it?) to slow them down a bit; I think they will outgrow the main stems and the new tops will. They look extremely strong.
Stony_German
Stony_German commented10mo ago
@GanjaGecko, you're doing great. I'm not worried about it. Kushmantwisted the main stems similar to supercropping, just that it’s not "bent" so the stem heals and grows stronger but is a bit slowed down. It's a bit of a fun technique, but some swear by it. I only do it on stems that are having issues. I had to do that in a 40x40 and it reminded me. If you have a lot of time, you can definitely find it if you Google it. Stress-free work week, buddy.

GanjaGecko commented10mo ago
@Stony_German, ahh ok I edited the WCxBBC a bit during the stretch back then. I documented it a little with pictures. I can imagine that it could work if you adjust the timing now and twist the branches to create a good canopy. I'm still a bit worried about Lady#2. But just in case, Lady#1 has two or three more branches. I'll check the cabinet again tomorrow 🤣 Also, have a chill work week 🤙🏼

@Stony_German, yeah you told me that once. I had already applied it earlier with the WCxBBC without knowing the practice by name. 😘
