Day 50 - Defoliation is once a week now and is very extensive. Smell is becoming stronger, very earthy and musty. Turned the light up to 95%, keeping temps in the mid 80’s and rh in the 60’s on average. Day 56 - Ending of the first week of flower. Stopped using recharge for the flush after fertigation and have since added it to the first fertigation after the flush and the results are better. Entering flower has increased fertigation from 1 1/2 gal to 2 gal every other day, however when it is time to fertigate she is light as in the weight of the pot. Fertigation frequency in the near future will most likely be everyday in the morning.

Grow Questions

Autoflowers are new to me and I’m just not sure if I am 100% on board with their ability to “autoflower” even under a 18/6 light schedule. I’m debating if I should flip her to 12/12 starting today. I think she needs some persuasion. What do you think? Thanks

Autos grow and flower regardless of light schedule. My Gorilla went 15 weeks from start of germination. Reducing the hours would only shorten the available light available and the light is the "food' that plant uses to grow, the nutrients help the plant metabolize the light into growth. 6hrs darkness is sort of the sweet spot for plant rest. Your diary says this is an indoor grow but your plants are outside in the pix. If your moving your plant in and out of the tent that can slow the plant down. Growers choice seeds are slower than many other auto strains. Your plant looks healthy and on its way to making good big buds. Patience and consistency is a key ingredient.

@ArborFarms, I would just so it can get sufficient light, which will help with your yield at harvest !

@Mr_Weeds_Autos, thanks man. First grow outdoors and she’s looking really healthy. Debating on bringing her indoors though, over here at the beach we get overcast skies during May and June robbing me of those precious photons.

@Weird_Jimmy, yeah man I’m stoked! Every morning when I open the tent up it’s like Christmas. They grow so much at night it’s amazing! You have anything new coming up in the tent? I’m thinking of doing a photo next

The plant is looking nice, short and bushy. The only critique I can offer is to the strength of your nutrient solution. It's probably in the range from the GHE mix schedule, but in the high range. I shoot for the low end of the target range for EC for nutrient solution strength. I also measure my runoff at each watering. I aim to get 10-30% run off. I also do it 2 or more times a day. If the runoff gets to be over 300ec of the EC of the feed solution, I either flush with extra pH plain water or dilute the feed water till it's back in range or below. High EC runoff indicates nutrient build up in coco and also that the coco is out of range for optimum nutrient absorption. It can cause nutrient toxicity or lockout. If the EC is below target it means your plants are absorbing lots of nutrients. My method isn't common but can produce massive plants. For more details on my methods search for "Coco for cannabis". It's fairly laborious, and I wouldn't recommend it if u have more than one plant, don't have time or take good notes. I am working on making an automated system for when I go on vacation and such.

@ArborFarms,not saying that it is actually too high...just that what listed in the stats at 1.59ec is high to me. Just cautionary ...but that's based on how I'm doing it...you seem to have a fairly detailed approach and thought out approach...and there are seemingly hundreds of ways to do this with lots of variables...so your plants look happy and as long as the plant is happy I'm sure you'll be happy!

@Weird_Jimmy, my feed schedule is half that of what the Nute manufacturer recommends. I’m using ppm targets that medman over at afn network recommends for autos. Are you saying that my Nute load is to high as in ppm’s? Thanks

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks for the reply. I’m aware that she is in flower lol, my question was in regards to the slow growth of the buds. Imop she just isn’t putting on the growth when I compare her to other diaries. If you were to go back thru my diary you’ll see that I am using pulse and inkbird to monitor and maintain temp and rh levels. I am very aware of vpd (thousands of charts online) and I use pulse’s vpd chart. My daily temps are in the range of 82 and rh averages in the 60’s, my vpd averages 1.2. I’m not concerned with my environment just questioning the genetics, especially when I ask GCS if they are the “breeder” and I don’t get a definitive answer. Thanks for chiming in though
