Germination
7mo ago
Splashy I've had the seeds here for over a year now and stored them in a closed box in the fridge. Luckily, both have germinated, and I've had a 100% germination rate so far. I made the seedling box myself with my 3D printer and tried it out for the first time; so far, I'm super satisfied with it. I filled the chambers with Light Mix from Bio Bizz and then put the seeds in. I adjusted tap water with calmag and set the pH to 6.5. The light is set to 18 hours. I also cut a yoga mat to insulate the box a bit from the cold floor so the soil doesn't get cold. 01/11/2026 Yesterday, I put them in the new seedling tent from Spider Farmer. Let's see how they react to the new environment and especially the new light (Mars Hydro VG40).

Splashy 13.01.2026 Today I checked the roots at the bottom of the pot and there were enough to see. Additionally, the upper leaves are growing over the edge of the pot, which I always take as an indicator that repotting is coming soon. So, I added biobizz all mix with 1.5g of Bio grow per 1l of substrate, which totals 16.5g for the 11l. The water was balanced with calmag and I raised the pH to 6.4-6.5. I also added 1g/l of water from the Bio enhancer by Greenhouse feeding. I watered 3l per pot, that should be enough for a while. I set the sanlight so that the ppfd matches the amount from the propagation tent (320ppfd). I also turned on the humidifier and set it to 65%.

Splashy 19.01.2026 Today I discovered yellow spots on the leaves of the left plant; I can't explain what that could be. The right one doesn't have the spots and is being treated the same way with the same nutrient solution. 20.01.2026 The spots seem to be getting larger on the leaves; I will keep observing. In a few days, the leaves will be removed anyway so that the shoots underneath get more light, it is quite strange. 21.01.2026 Today I asked the chat AI what it could be, and I also provided all my details (substrate, CalMag fertilization, and water values), and it spit out that I have a calcium deficiency caused by the Biobizz pH down and my carbonate-rich tap water. This means I need a different pH down, which I have already ordered. I chose the pH down from Plagron. Since Biobizz pH down is an organic acid, it reacts with the high carbonate content in the water and thus causes a calcium deficiency. It advised me to keep the pH at 6.3-6.4 in the future and not go higher, as the All Mix soil will raise it over time.

Splashy In the 3rd week of veg, I topped her after the 6th node, pulled the branches outwards with wires, and split them. I lowered the pH of the watering solution to 6.3 since she had issues with the pH minus from Biobizz. Now I'm using pH minus from Plagron, and that should resolve the lockout. It was time again for the enhancer from Greenhouse, gave 2 liters of water with it per plant. Soon there will be another defoliation so that all the branches get enough light to grow. 02/01/2026 Defoliation and the removal of lower branches. I also added nematodes to combat the few fungus gnats.

Splashy They've been in bloom for a week now and have become very bushy. I pressed some angles with my 3D printer and then got PVC pipes at the hardware store so that the tent doesn't collapse under the vacuum. So far, it's working very well and the plants have more space. Until day 21, I'll just be watering, and then the final defoliation will take place. They've handled the lockout pretty well, and aside from a few isolated spots, they look really good again.

Splashy In the bw2, I just let them grow, light is still at 60%, but it will be increased soon as the top leaves stop curling. Next week, lollipopping will be done.

Splashy Today is only day 20 in the flowering stage, but I need to water today, and since I don't want to take the heavy pots out of the tent tomorrow, I'm doing the lollipopping today. I also discovered a single pollen sac on one that was still closed. I carefully removed and disposed of it. So far, the ladies look really great, no signs of deficiency or over-fertilization, just top-notch. I'm very satisfied with the Greenhouse Bio fertilizer so far. Next week, I'll add the Green Sensation and hope for the best. I hope they can handle the lollipopping without hermaphroditing or anything like that. I just ordered more of the fertilizer today, and I'm going to try a different soil, at least in the final pot, a bit more pre-fertilized.

Splashy It's only being watered with calmag and Green Sensation at a pH of 6.5. No deficiencies visible and also no over-fertilization, just great so far. The buds are forming nicely and the smell has also become quite strong.

Splashy The buds are getting nice and plump, and they're starting to purple. I think in 1-2 weeks they'll be ready. I've now switched to Green Sensation and the PK 13-14 from Plagron.

I had grown this strain before and was really impressed by it. During the grow, I had no problems with the two ladies and would love to grow them again.

Splashy Today was time for the harvest, the smell is wonderfully sweet and very, very intense. I would have liked to leave them for another 1-2 weeks, but I had to clear the tent for the permanent markers that are already waiting to be repotted. Now the vcure from vivosun can finally show if it's worth the money. This will be the first drying in the device, and I'm very curious about it. The 14-day mode is activated, 7 days of drying at 20°C and 60% rlf, then it will be 7 days of curing at 18°C and 55% rlf.

How does it taste this time, bro? I also had a watermelon once and found the high pretty damn awesome. It smoked really well too, the flavor was slightly sweet for me. Unfortunately, not a terp bomb like other Cali strains, but an all-time weed I think. I'm also a fan of the RQS watermelon.

@Rhah420, she's just great, there's really nothing to complain about. Definitely a strain that I will grow again and again, I can only recommend her. Yes, there aren't that many terps, so she's not suitable for rosin pressing, but for smoking or vaping, she's even better. Sweet is a good description, slightly fruity.

@Prock666, Watermelon from Rqs was really good last time, taste, effect, everything was on point. The smell was very intense, this time it's also heading in that direction. It's one of my favorite strains. Enjoy it!
