xTaps The Hydro System (DIY DWC) Reservoir: IKEA Hร…LLBAR (10L), fully light-proofed. Precision Upgrades: M16 Cable Glands: Clean and air-tight hose routing for the air pump. M20 Cable Gland: Modified to securely fix the monitor probe in the lid, ensuring it is both light-tight and stable. Monitoring: GIDIGI 8-in-1 WiFi Water Quality Tester (Real-time pH, EC, Temp), ADWA AD11 pH Meter (for double-checking). Nutrient Base & Preparation: To ensure maximum stability, I am working with a precisely calculated 3:1 CalMag ratio. I supplemented my tap water with 0,21ml/L of T.A. Calcium Magnesium Supplement. The system and media were pre-calibrated and stabilized at a pH of 5.3. 01.01.2026 Day 1 1. Reservoir Modification & Light-Proofing To ensure a sterile root environment and prevent algae growth, the Hร…LLBAR bucket was modified as follows: Light-Block: The entire body and lid were first covered with black duct tape to block all light penetration. Reflection & Heat Protection: A second layer of reflective aluminum tape was applied. This creates a "mirror finish" that reflects light back to the plant's lower canopy and prevents the nutrient solution from heating up under the Mars Hydro LED. Fittings: M16 cable glands were installed in the body for airline tubing, and an M20 gland was mounted in the lid for the GIDIGI pH/EC probe to ensure light-tight entries. Sanitation: After removing all plastic shavings from drilling, the reservoir was thoroughly disinfected with isopropyl alcohol. 2. Tech & Sensor Preparation Air Stone Sanitization: Two air stones, previously used for one week, were boiled and mechanically scrubbed to remove any biofilm and prevent pathogens like Pythium. They are placed at the bottom for maximum oxygen saturation. Probe Maintenance: The GIDIGI monitor probe was descaled (removing calcium deposits) and positioned via the lid gland to measure within the lower third of the reservoir. Water Metering: A Gardena water flow meter was installed to determine the exact net volume of the solution up to the bottom of the net pot. 3. Germination & Media Preparation Rockwool Conditioning: A starter plug was soaked in water pH-adjusted to 5.3 to neutralize the natural alkalinity of the rockwool and provide a stable starting environment. Sowing: The Sticky Broccoli seed was placed approximately 1 cm deep into the moist (but not oversaturated) plug, with the hole lightly covered. Environment: The plug is now kept in a high-humidity environment until the first taproot emerges from the bottom. 05.01.2026 Update: Germination Successful! ๐ŸŒฑ The Sticky Broccoli has finally seen the light of day! The seedling has "arched its back" and is currently pushing its first cotyledons out of the rockwool cube. Current Care: Watering: Iโ€™ve been providing exactly 10 ml of pH-adjusted water every 2 days to keep the cube consistently moist. Current pH Level: 5.2 Next Steps: Transplant: As soon as the first root tip emerges from the bottom of the cube, I will move it into the DWC system (Hร…LLBAR bucket). Watering Strategy: I will continue with 10 ml every 2 days for now. pH Management: The pH is currently sitting at 5.2. Since the clay pebbles (expanded clay) aren't in the system yet, Iโ€™ll counter-steer during the next watering with a higher pH (target 6.0). This should bring the environment inside the cube back to the optimum level of around 5.8. 07.01 Finally moved the "Sticky Broccoli" into the DWC bucket. I prepared 8L of nutrient solution. Initially, the pH was a bit jumpy, rising from 6.0 up to 6.6 due to aeration, but I managed to stabilize it at 5.9. The seedling is placed in a rockwool cube, sandwiched between clay pebbles. Everything is looking healthy, and the water temperature is holding steady at a perfect 20ยฐC. Waiting for those first roots to hit the reservoir now! ๐Ÿš€ 12.01 Heading: Roots in the Water โ€“ The Engine is Starting! ๐Ÿ’ง Milestone: The roots of the Sticky Broccoli have officially hit the reservoir. Seeing great, healthy white roots establishing themselves in the solution. Water Chemistry: pH is holding steady at 6.0. The EC is slightly fluctuating between 1.09 and 1.12, which is expected due to aeration and minor evaporation as the plant begins its intake. Next Phase: With the nutrient supply line now established, I'm expecting the first real vegetative growth spurt any time now. 16.01.2026 Heading: Root Explosion & pH Adjustment ๐Ÿ’ง Root Development: The Sticky Broccoli is showing incredible progress. Roots are now deep in the reservoir and starting to branch out significantly. Healthy, bright white, and very active. Parameters: pH drifted up to 6.2 this afternoon, showing active nutrient interaction. Readjusted to 5.9 for a perfect "sweet spot." EC is holding steady at 1.12. Foliage: The new growth in the center is pushing out with much more vigor now that the "fuel line" is fully established. Phase: Closing in on the end of the seedling stage. Veg Week 1 is just around the corner!

xTaps 18.03 Day 42 - End of Week 6 / Peak Frost โ„๏ธ๐Ÿš€/ Begin of Week 7 Buds: Trichomes are mostly clear with some turning cloudy. Pistils are still predominantly white, indicating more swelling to come. Feeding: Holding the line with high EC (2.3โ€“2.5). The DWC system is delivering peak performance. Canopy: Managing the extreme proximity to the LED driver. Light intensity is at its limit for the top colas. 20.03 Day 44 - Emergency Res-Reset: Battling Osmotic Stress โš ๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ The Situation: Moving into Week 7, the nutrient concentration peaked at an unsustainable level of EC 2.64. The plant reacted with a classic lockout/osmotic stress signal: water level dropped while EC climbed. This indicated the plant was struggling to hydrate, exacerbated by the extreme proximity to the LED driver. Corrective Actions: Full Flush: Drained the reservoir completely to clear out the excess salt buildup. Refill: Added 7L of fresh tap water (Base EC 0.61). Conservative Feed: Re-introduced nutrients at a "recovery dose" to lower osmotic pressure. 5ml Advanced Nutrients Trio 2ml Plagron Green Sensation (Keeping the boosters low for now) Parameters: Settled at a stable EC of 1.23 and pH 5.8. Current Status: Despite the feeding hiccup, the "Sticky Broccoli" is living up to its name. Trichome coverage is dense and the buds are swelling. The goal for the next 48 hours is to observe a steady drop in EC, confirming that the roots have resumed nutrient uptake. ๐Ÿ’Ž๐ŸŒฟ 22.03 Day 46 - Peak Resin Production & Nutrient Balance ๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ“ˆ Metabolism: Plant is back to full health, drinking 3L of water since the reset. EC stabilized at 1.10, showing perfect nutrient-to-water uptake. Feeding: Added 5ml Green Sensation to capitalize on the final days of Week 7. Final parameters: EC ~1.4 / pH 5.8. Development: Massive trichome coverage. Pistils are still mostly white, indicating that the buds are still in their primary swelling phase. Observation: The "Sticky Broccoli" is handling the light proximity well after the recent EC adjustment. No further burn visible.

xTaps 25.03 Day 49 - The Great Depletion & Strategic Re-Feed ๐ŸŽฏ๐ŸŒŠ The Situation: Entering Week 8, the Sticky Broccoli showed its highest metabolic activity yet. The plant consumed 4 liters of water since the last check, stripping the reservoir of almost all nutrients (EC dropped significantly). This confirms she is in the peak of her floral "bulking" phase. Actions Taken: Hydration: Topped up with 4L of fresh water. Nutrient Push: Since the plant was "running on empty," I re-introduced nutrients to support the final flower density: 3ml each of Advanced Nutrients Trio 3ml Plagron Green Sensation pH Tuning: Adjusted the pH from a post-top-up 6.3 back to a perfect 5.8. Current Stats: EC: 1.53 pH: 5.8 Conclusion: The plant is responding beautifully to the lower EC-reset from last week and is now ready to handle a stronger concentration again. Pistils are still mostly white, meaning we have plenty of room for weight gain. Let the swelling continue! โ„๏ธ๐Ÿฅฆ 27.03 Day 51 From Morning Stability to Mid-Day pH Swing ๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ“‰ Morning Session (5 AM - Lights On): Started the day with rock-solid parameters. pH was 5.8 and EC 1.51. Everything looked perfect for the continuation of the week 8 bulk. Mid-Day Shift (2 PM - Lights Out): During the dark period, the reservoir drifted significantly. The EC spiked to 1.56 and the pH dropped to 5.4. This signaled that the nutrient concentration was slightly too high for the plant's current water demand, leading to acidification. Evening Correction (6 PM - Lights On): To reset the balance, I added 1 liter of fresh water to dilute the solution. Current Specs: EC: 1.42 (Stabilized) pH: 5.6 (Recovering) Verdict: The Sticky Broccoli is back in its comfort zone. The resin production hasn't skipped a beat despite the minor pH dip. Weโ€™ll keep the EC slightly lower at 1.42 for the weekend to ensure smooth sailing. ๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿš€ 30.03 Day 54 Week 8 Finale - Heavy Resin & Bulking Mode ๐Ÿ“ˆโ„๏ธ Visual Analysis: Just took some fresh shots this evening. The "Sticky Broccoli" is living up to its nameโ€”trichome production is skyrocketing. Many pistils are still white and vibrant, which means the buds are still actively growing in size and haven't reached the final ripening yet. Reservoir Specs: EC: 1.47 (Down from 1.51 - she's hungry!) pH: Stable. Water: Top-up with plain tap water planned for tomorrow. Development: The plant is in a high-metabolic state, consuming nutrients faster than water. The downward EC drift is a perfect indicator of health. We are staying on course for a massive finish. ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ”ฅ 31.03 Day 55 Day 55 - Closing Week 8 with a Fresh Canopy ๐ŸŒŠโœ‚๏ธ Maintenance: Huge water intake todayโ€”topped up with 4L of plain water. Stats: EC dropped to 1.10, pH balanced at 5.8 after initial drift. Defoliation: Performed a final strategic defoliation session. Removed shading fan leaves to give the lower sites more photons and ensured the center of the plant has maximum airflow. Outlook: The Sticky Broccoli is looking extremely healthy and frostier than ever. Ready to kick off Week 9 tomorrow with a fresh nutrient batch! ๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ”ฅ

xTaps 01.04. Day 56 Celebration & Performance: Exactly 2 years ago today, I started my journey alongside the legalization. Today, the Sticky Broccoli is showing off peak performance with insane resin production. Itโ€™s the perfect way to mark the occasion. Reservoir Specs (Week 9 Start): Maintenance: Full 6L swap to ensure optimal minerals for the final swell. Stats: Target EC 1.47 achieved, pH perfectly balanced at 5.8. Harvest Scouting: * Macro View: Trichomes are transitioning beautifully. Most are already cloudy/milky. Preference: Aiming for a "Max Milky" harvest (high THC, cerebral effect). Timeline: Based on the presence of some clear trichomes and fresh white pistils, the chop is estimated in about 7โ€“10 days. Strategy: This fresh batch of nutrients will likely carry her through the finish line before a short final flush. ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ”ฅ 03.04 Day 58 - Nutrient Tapering for Flavor Clarity ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ Action: Diluted the reservoir with 3.4L of tap water, bringing EC down to 1.3. Method: Not a "flush," but a strategic taper. Using tap water ensures essential base minerals remain available while forcing the plant to deplete its nitrogen stores. Outcome: This controlled senescence will lead to a smoother smoke and more pronounced terpene profile without shocking the root system. ๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ”ฅ 04.04 Day 59 - Initiating the Final Tapering Protocol ๐Ÿ“‰๐ŸŒŠ Stats: PH: 5.8 EC: 0.9 (Adjusted from previous levels) Update: "Today marks the beginning of the final stretch for the 'Sticky Broccoli'. To ensure the highest possible quality for the Eternity Cup, Iโ€™ve officially started the tapering process. I swapped out 3 liters of nutrient solution for plain tap water to bring the EC down to a precise 0.9. By gradually lowering the osmotic pressure and nutrient availability, Iโ€™m signaling the plant to finish its cycle and focus entirely on resin production and terpene complexity. As you can see in the macro shots, the calyx-to-leaf ratio is looking incredible, and the frost is spreading thick. This is the 'DWC advantage', being able to pivot the entire nutrient profile within minutes to hit that perfect harvest window. Everything is on track for our 2-year anniversary harvest! ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ† 05.04 Day 60 - AI Trichome Analysis: 98.77% Peak Maturation! ๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿค– Evidence: Ran the latest macros through a specialized AI analyzer. The result: 98.77% Cloudy. This is the definition of "Peak Potency." State of Play: Zero clear trichomes left. The Sticky Broccoli has fulfilled its genetic potential. Final Touch: With EC at 0.51 and PH at 6.2, Iโ€™m just letting the plant clean itself out for the next 48 hours. The density is insane (buds are rock-hard). 06.04 Day 61 - Osmotic Purge in Full Swing ๐Ÿ“ˆ Stats: PH: 6.0 EC: 0.61 (Rising naturally) Update: The Sticky Broccoli is effectively cleaning itself out. Seeing the EC rise from 0.51 to 0.61 without any additives is a textbook sign of a successful DWC flush. The plant is purging stored nutrients, which is key for that smooth, white-ash finish I'm aiming for. With the AI-confirmed 98.77% cloudy trichomes and rock-solid bud density, we are perfectly on track for the harvest on Wednesday (Start of Week 10). The fade is looking beautiful. Ready for the finish line! ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ†

Happy Harvest Day!

Growth & Vitality: This strain is a monster in a DWC environment. From the start, it showed incredible vigor, eventually developing a massive, oak-like main stem and a pristine, white root system. It handled the aggressive nutrient profile of the Advanced Nutrients 3-part base and Plagron Green Sensation like a champ. No signs of stress even when pushed to the limit. Flower & Structure: The name Sticky Broccoli is no exaggeration. The buds are exceptionally denseโ€”literally rock-solid. There is zero 'fluff' here. The internodal spacing was perfect for the 70x70 setup, and the resin production started early and never stopped. By Day 62, the buds felt like stones covered in glue. Resin & Terpenes: Absolutely top-tier resin quality. Using AI analysis, I confirmed a 98.77% milky trichome coverage at harvest. The smell is pungent, sticky, and deeply aromatic. During the final trim, the scissors were immediately coated in thick, black 'scissor hash.' Final Verdict: If you are looking for a strain that maximizes the potential of hydroponics, this is it. It delivers heavy, dense, and extremely resinous flowers with a high resistance to pH fluctuations.

xTaps Day 62 - The Beast is Down! 301g of Pure Elite Resin ๐Ÿ’Žโœ‚๏ธ The Final Stats: Final pH: 5.6 Final EC: 0.61 Trichome Maturity: 98.77% Milky (AI-Verified) A-Grade Wet Weight: 301g (Premium selected buds only) Harvest Notes: The "Sticky Broccoli" journey has reached its peak. Today, at the start of Week 10, I decided to harvest after a massive final water uptake and a pH drop to 5.6โ€”signals that the plant had reached its absolute limit. The Anatomy of a Winner: The Trunk: The main stem developed into a literal tree trunk. The sheer thickness explains the rock-solid density of the buds. This DWC system provided a massive highway for nutrients. The Roots: Lifting the lid revealed a masterpiece. A massive, clean, and vital root ball. No rot, no issuesโ€”just pure white surface area that fueled this 62-day explosion. The Flowers: Selected only the "A-Grade" tops for the DryFerm Bags to ensure a competition-level cure for the Eternity Cup. Totaling 301g of wet, manicured gold. Curing Strategy: Top-shelf buds are now sealed in DryFerm Bags for a controlled terpene-lock. The remaining harvest is hanging in the 40x40 tent for a classic slow-dry. The density is insaneโ€”these buds feel like stones. Mission Accomplished. See you at the finish line! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ”ฅ 11.04. Halfway There - 50% Weight Loss Reached ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธโš–๏ธ Current Weight: 150g (Initial: 301g). Milestone: We have officially hit the 50% mark. The drying curve is flattening out perfectly. Observation: The Sticky Broccoli density is holding up. No over-drying on the outside, consistent moisture release from the core. This is peak curing performance. ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ†
