Kushberry Round 2

Grow_for_Happiness Here we are end of week one and this little kushberry is just looking alright despite a slower start. She was having a hard time acclimating after removing the dome, so after a day I put the dome back on, let her rest, and after she perked back up slowly removed the dome over 48 hours. Lights 400 umols by end of week, should hopefully see some good growth this week.

Grow_for_Happiness So far so good, although she is a tad on the smaller side she has picked up speed and I have high hopes for her. Last round of kushberry was very similar growth rate, wondering if she's just a bit slower than some. All good and nothing to stress still looking nice and healthy. Just sit back and let her drink from the initial pot watering. Probably have to water some time mid week, but by then she will be loved into the big tent and hooked up to the Autopot reservoir. Just have to sterilized it and reset the lights tomorrow and then move them over the next day.

Grow_for_Happiness Well the week is over and here we are, moved into the 4x8 and running on the autopot feed for the last 4 days. Little bit of shock from stating the airdomes and heavier feed but overall she is looking quite healthy. Just some slight brown spotting on a few of the leaves. She hasn't shot up yet, but has widened out nicely. Getting 500 umol/s so we should see her kick up in height this week. Lots of air movement thanks to the clip fans. Also picked up the new T5 humidifier, thing is keeping up nicely with the exhaust and keeping the VPD at a solid 0.9. Really like the. I've big top fill and the larger reservoir seems to last all day. Also upgraded my controller to a 8 port so that I can manage everything at once rather than relying on three separate controls. Let's see how this little lady does this week, hoping for big things!

Grow_for_Happiness Well look at this little girl growing up in a hurry! Doubled in size this week and starting to branch out nicely. Just ending the veg phase, as I'm seeing pistils starting to pop out all over the place. She's a nice healthy colour, albeit a bit smaller than the other strains but she is just starting flower so should see stretch next few weeks. Very hands off otherwise, just watching her do her thing. Lights hitting 520 umol/s

Grow_for_Happiness Flower is on and this girl is starting to stretch her legs and fill out nicely. Still on the smaller side compared to other strains at this time, but right on pace with my last kushberry grow, of not a little more ahead. Only 4" vertical this week, but she did fill out noticably and lots of buds sites have exploded all over. Lots of airflow with the perforated intake tube running the length of the tent keeping her nice and happy even though she hasn't been defoliated yet. Waiting until after stretch has stopped to minimize any stress. Lights hitting a healthy 600 umol/s on main canopy.

Grow_for_Happiness Short and mighty, this girl is really starting to show her potential. She's may not be the tallest, but the bud sites are popping from top to bottom of the branches. Got her first defoliation mid week, mostly removing old/lower fan leaves and a few under developed branches from the middle. Could really see the difference afterwards, and the plant never complained the whole time, such a good girl hahaha.

Grow_for_Happiness The little kushberry that could! This girl is the smallest in the tent, but don't let her small stature fool you, she is lining up to be allllll bud. She's still right on track as far as size and structure compared to the last kushberry run I did and they were good producers despite their small size as well. To me 30" is around average auto size, 24" or less would be small, and 40"+ are the big girls. Otherwise no work on this lady this week, just letting her do her thing after last weeks defoliation. Haven't noticed any slow down, and she's starting to put off a faint fruity smell. Lights a nice even 550-550 umol/s across the canopy, 600 on the main colas.

Grow_for_Happiness Another week has gone by and this small girl is looking mightier and mightier as the time goes by. Nice long buds forming and starting to see some nice colours coming in. The leaves are curling and browning a bit, pretty sure it's nutrient burn but the other plants on the same reservoir are more than happy, so she will just have to keep on pushing through. Did turn the lights up 100% (+10%) just to get the canopy closer to 600 umol/s from the previous 550 umol/s. Should start to see the buds swell up this week, let's keep our eyes peeled and out fingers crossed.

Grow_for_Happiness As the time goes on this small yet mighty plant keeps looking better and better. The buds came a long way this week and really tightened up and packed on trichomes. Also there are LOTS of red hairs this time around. Did a small defoliation mid week removing dried out fan leaves, but only the ones that were no longer helping absorb light, no branches or anything major to minimize shock. From the initial trichome look I would guess 14-18 days remaining. Looks like 60/40 cloudy and no reds yet. Buds feel sticky and dense when gently squeezed.

Grow_for_Happiness Well this is it, the last week for this little mighty Kushberry. The buds came a long way this week, really darkening in colour and becoming hard as rocks and sticky AF. Oh and the smell?? Absolutely mouth watering purple berries. Trichomes are 100% cloudy and just starting to see reds so she's coming down this afternoon. Nothing really done throughout the week, just tracking the trichomes every few days to try and nail my version of the perfect harvest window.

Grow_for_Happiness Nice easy harvest, great thing about a small plant like this had her broken down and stripped of leaves in under 15 minutes. Buds are very dense and trichome packed. Looking forward to getting her dried out over next 7-10 days, will update dry weight and smoke review after that.
