Week 1 update - put two of these beans from Zamnesia on the germ. As part of an outdoor run. Issues ensued and resulted in some creative flip flopping with the rest of the plants on the grow and these ones ended up taking center stage in the new grow space indoors. Can’t wait to sample these girls as it will be a first experience with GG#4. Questions, comments and rude/off-colour criticism always welcome folks👍😎👊! Background Gorilla Glue #4 - yep, this year we’re releasing our inner primate! There’s so much hype about this strain that we had to try it for ourselves. The good folks over at Zamnesia seeds were kind enough to produce their take on the infamous sticky monkey and were giddy to give it a try! This is a sativa dominant accidental hybrid. A cross of Chem. Sis, Sour Dub and Chocolate Diesel. The high is supposed to be one of the most potent and heavy hitting around. We’ll see about that😉😎

Week 6 update - well due to unforeseen circumstances this one went from outdoor “let it grow” plant to indoor “do what you can now” plant. Topped er this week which is pretty late in veg. It’ll help with yield but at this point I’m not extending the growth cycle past 8 weeks for the sake of more training. Grow and let grow👍 Alls good! Week 7 update - IMO, this plant is a perfect example of why photoperiodic strains are a more versatile alternative to autos. There’s more margin for error, you can correct issues as needed, dial in nute regimens before flower and most importantly - start training at almost any point. As with these ones - they’ve recovered well from topping and are now showing signs of bushing out as expected. I wouldn’t say she took it like a champ but certainly no adverse affects. They’ve been up potted to 5gals as of last week and now we’re looking at a potential move to the big cabinet so that we can get another plant with serious issues back under the lower powered blurple light. We’ll see what happens in the next few days.👍 Background Gorilla Glue #4 - yep, this year we’re releasing our inner primate! Week 8 update - honestly, even with a late topping these plants have worked out pretty damn well. Did a little pruning and lst to open things up as much as possible before the flip to flower. We can’t afford to wait more than another week because the neighbouring Spliff strawberry won’t fit anymore if we don’t launch soon😉. Alls well and stage is pretty much set for flower👍😎. Week 10 update - they’ve filled out surprisingly well this last week. I’m expecting some good results out of em for sure now that I can see just how much she’s responding to the light change. Alls well - ran over to a slightly lower dose of base flower nutes in exchange for the grow and dropped the karma in half. The calmag will continue for the next 3-4 weeks before I cut that out completely. Alls well folks.👍😎👊 Background Gorilla Glue #4 - yep, this year we’re releasing our inner primate! Week 11 update - well she’s certainly take’n er sweet ass time! She’s still in rapid veg. Transitioning but I think I’m starting to see pistils. Alls well and they’re both champs for the most part. Brought the base flower nutes back up another 5ml which should stay constant through the rest of the grow to the flush. Thanks for checkn em out as always👊😎. July 4 update - stripped em both back again today. They’re lookn good and finally starting the full bloom. They’re also keeping pace with the larger strawberry Cough in terms of vertical gains. This impromptu pairing is proving to be a great test for the cobs light penetration and should reveal a lot about what we can get away with in terms of size diversity.👍😉 Background Gorilla Glue - yep, this year we’re releasing our inner primate. Week 12 update - we’re comig in to week 4 of flower and the stretch is definitely easing off somewhat. She’s not moving up nearly as much or as quickly as her neighbouring strawberry cough. That’s not a good thing but should provide a decent basis for comparing light heights. That said I’m more worried about frying the SC than I am about light effectiveness stats based on height. She’s lookn great and should be getting ready to bulk up over the next week. Alls well, no issues or concerns👍. Thanks for taken a look - photos should be Gettn even prettier in the next while😉😎👊. July 10 update - finally got the drainage trays built and in place. Been so busy it’s been impossible to find the time and such a bitch having to move em to water and drain. Gave up on it after the first few weeks. No ill effects but it’s not really my style in terms of feeding practices. That said, it has helped to fully dial in expected feed volumes for each size of container so big bonus. This little addition is really gonna save some time for sure.👍👍 Background Gorilla Glue - yep, yep! this year we’re releasing our inner primate. Week 13 update - through the stretch and vertical growth is minimal while she starts to hair out. Plant #1 on the left is about a week ahead of plant #2 on the right. Either way it looks like they’ll be a longer time to finish - maybe 9-10 weeks of flower. We defo’d where necessary and stripped er back to get some more light and air through the canopy. It’ll be light pruning to get rid of larger fan leaves moving forward. As can be seen we haven’t been as ruthless with the defo as in past grows. With this light rig there’s no necessity for it really as long as the buds have enough space to breathe. Starting to get a little frost so the girls are ready to show their goods!👍. This strain is prone to hermie so now let’s just pray that these gorillas don’t sprout any bananas🤞🤞🤞. Background Gorilla Glue - yep, yep! this year we’re releasing our inner primate. Week 14 update - interesting last week. These ladies are showing off two distinctly different phenos. Plant #1 has indica dominant characteristics and is growing short and squat through stretch while plant #2 has sativa dominance and has put on a huge 4-6” stretch. #1 is now getting dwarfed and squeezed out by the two heavy hitters on each flank😉😎. They’ve been great plants all around. No issues, relatively minor maintenance👍. We've stripped er back again for the sake of better airflow through the middle - again, just as needed with some larf trimmed out of the bottom. Alls good and hopefully it’ll just be light pruning from here on out. Thanks for popp’n in as always👊. Background Gorilla Glue - yep, yep! this year we’re releasing our inner primate. Week 15 update - come’n in to week 7 of flower and both ladies are lookn sharp👌😎. No issues, no dumbass mistakes and all is well. While they continue to fill in with ease, you can see in the photos over the weeks what it took to get them to this manageable of a state for flower. We can also now get full bud shots into the photos😎Light pruning here and there with still 4 weeks to go👍. Alls well. Background Gorilla Glue - yep, yep! this year we’re releasing our inner primate. Week 16 update - she’s come on super strong the last week and the frost development is insane. The smaller indica dominant pheno especially - her bloody bud leaves are sticking together for Christ sake! Lol. She sstarting to look exactly as advertised👍. The sativa is much taller, not quite as frosty yet and if you didn’t know - you’d think they were completely different strains. Can’t wait to see how these differences translate at harvest, if at all. The neighbouring SC will be done a little earlier so they’ll both get some extra room soon. photo cred. To my wife this week. Shes been the one trimm’n em out each time they need a clip and it’s saved me literally hours of tending. All is well and should be smooth sail’n to the chop👍😎. Week 17 update - coming into week 8 of flower and these girls are supposed to be a 9 week strain. Based on what we’re seeing right now, she’s definitely not going off early. Well dial back the nute regimen this week though, she shouldn’t need much more tha. What she’s already got by now. Again, while these two definitely have a similar scent, if you were to look at them you’d think they were two different strains altogether. That’s how wide the pheno difference seemingly is on these. They’re definitely sticky AF to the touch. It’s actually very surprising just how much.👍. ANyhoo - alls good going into the fade and finish folks. Week 10 of flower and we ain’t there quite yet. These girls have some additional breathing room in the grow space now - we’ll see what happens this week but thinkn potentially another 10-14 days which would be great for em. Might feed or might Move to flush. They’re turn’n over a Little bit on the tips and their canoeing over a touch on the highest sugar leaves. My partner in crime is deadset that these are two different plants. I’m seeing similar traits in the bud structure but the leaves are night and day, indica/sativa. Regardless, We’re Gettn close people👍😎. Background Gorilla Glue - yep, yep! this year we’re releasing our inner primate. There’s so much hype about this strain that we had to try it for ourselves. Week 19 update - well they may look different, but each of these girls is definitely on the same clock. Bud maturation is evident a good 6”s below the canopy which is awesome to see. Especially with how packed in they were previously. The fade is really setting in now and the trichs are right where we want ‘em on both. The boss and I are still at odds on ‘em lol. She says different plants and I say I can see two distinct and different phenos. We’ll never know who’s right either. #1 is sticky but not that smelly. #2 is also sticky but stinky AF🤘. We are now on the flush for the rest of this week prior to chop. Gotta step out for the last 5 days before chop so let’s hope we don’t nuke em on the finish🤞. Lol - were play’n with fire now folks. Week 20 update - psych! Came back from a few days away and while the colours on these girls are stunning, we can def. push it another few days to get the lower trichs to cloud up a little more. That said, they’re done and can go any time. We’ll be chopping pheno #2 first and before the end of the week while pheno #1 will follow shortly after. #1 has some incredible colours while #2 takes has the advantage on bud quality. They’re just finishing the dryin the final rinse. Next update is definitely harvest report - no more delays. Thanks as always for stopp’n in👊. The good folks over at Zamnesia seeds were kind enough to produce their take on the infamous sticky monkey and we’re giddy to give it a try! This is a sativa dominant accidental hybrid. A cross of Chem. Sis, Sour Dub and Chocolate Diesel. The high is supposed to be one of the most potent and heavy hitting around. We’ll see about that😉😎. Thanks for stopp’n by!👊

Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️ This one was very much a “work with what ya got” type of grow. Once we realized that we’d have to grow ‘em indoors to accommodate other plants in the cycle, we were a solid 2 weeks past the preferred date that we could’ve topped or fimmed ‘em. Given considerations for the other plant in the cabinet we did just that and included some lst to widen out the base and canopy which extended the veg. Time by another 2 weeks. We also kept the branches below the topped node which ended up being a good decision overall as these grew up as some of the best yielding colas on the plant (in lieu of what could’ve been another mainline instead). Most of the grow was just doing what was necessary to keep things manageable. I also have to extend some serious props to my partner in crime who owned all the subsequent defo that they needed. These girls required a lot more of it than expected and were trimmed back regularly throughout the stretch, the 4th and even 5th week of flower. They wouldn’t have turned out as well as they did without my wife’s careful attention to the trimming so they are very much her girls as opposed to mine😉. In summary, method was nothing special and really only prompted by necessity and height uniformity with the other plant. That in of itself was a fail because the neighbour strawberry ended up an absolute monster: 1:. 3 outta 5 volume emojis for taking well to the topping, only losing marks because the whole grow was pretty much unplanned. Medium: 🥥🥥🥥🥥 Lighting: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ These ladies took a lot longer to dry out and flush than expected. About an extra 5 days on top of a week of flushing. They faded really nicely in the end and waiting a little longer on the dry time proved a wise decision and allowed for a little bit more bud maturity. Coco remains the go-to medium in lieu of soil when we grow indoors. It’s just plain simple to deal with. Better drainage, faster growth rate (especially in veg.) and re-usable. We mix all of our old medium together in a couple grow bags and grab/recycle as needed for either new grows or soil amendments: 1:. This stuff has been through 3 cycles now and IMO is still usable for this purpose. it’s nute neutral, allows us to dictate exactly what the plant receives at all times. more manageable and precise than soil. The only knock is one of its greatest strengths. With better drainage comes more regular feedings. If you prefer to spend less time watering, then soil will get you a day or two more between feedings at most stages. Again however, this mediums biggest advantage is it’s versatility - it goes from nute rich to flushed & neutral in days which means you get to rev the proverbial engine on her uptake right to the finish. All with great drainage and the simplicity of amended soil mediums: 1:😎. The grow space also deserves some token mention here. It was specifically designed and constructed to run up to 4 plants, in line, per cycle. The idea was to spend heavy on a strong penetration grow light and go higher instead of wider when it came to the actual enclosure. It was a great decision. We save on depth and access problems by being skinny but sacrifice nothing with respect to the potential for plant size: 1:. I understand that LED bar lights are making a strong case for max coverage these days but if you’re looking for a single point light source, you definitely can’t go wrong with something like this COB tech.: 1: 4 of 5 coconut emojis for the medium - awesome all around, but dries out quick. 5 of 5 sun emojis for the light rig because this COB setup is insanely good at growing top shelf smoke😎👌: 1:. Yield🌴🌴🌴 Well afford 3 of a potential 5 tree emojis for the yield on these girls - but only because they’re a medium yielding strain by nature. I’m happy to report that we really did drive out as much yield from these chicks as they were prepared to offer under the circumstances and it was a solid haul for sure: 1:: 1:: 1:. The trimming sucked, especially on pheno #1 - she was just leafier than the other. They also dried out substantially more than expected. The buds absolutely glisten in the light and are covered in trichs. Last trich. photos were taken the week prior. Big difference in five days later when we chopped. About an even 20% amber thoughout the whole depth of each plant which is a phenomenal result given their density. The numbers aren’t insane but certainly solid and more than expected. It’s when you add em up to the strawberry that shared the cabinet when things start to look really impressive. Total yield - pheno #1: 4.46oz Total yield - pheno #2: 3.99oz Approx. est. yield: 500g/m2 divides by 4.8, multiplied by 2 (approx. for 2/3 the cabinets sq/ft) = 208.32g per 0.41m2 Actual yield: 8.45oz./0.41m2 = 239.55g per 0.41m2. Again, based on the rough averages, we continue to crush every last bit of yield out of each successive grow in this environment. Plant training and topping is likely the difference maker, as is the light fixture. For this last 3-plant cycle our haul is a total of 17.2oz!👌: 1:😎😂. That’s well over a half pound of greenery per run of 3 plants. BOOM 💥!!! It’s safe to say that friends and family will be of great assistance when it comes to the consumption of our efforts. It’s also clear that this is gonna be the norm moving forward so the next grows will be a little more experimental and likely lacking quite this much of a yield. Good things growing in the north country y’all😎: 1:. Props: 👊👊 Can’t forget those who hit the follow button on this one. I can’t say this was our best work but it was still a fun grow with an excellent end result. If it encouraged some discussion or enlightened someone with how to address their own grow then we’re happy. That said, it’s been so damn busy with trying to update all the plants we have on the grow that there has been almost no opportunity to reach out to others and take a closer look at what everyone else is doing. Hopefully there’s no offence taken in that respect if we haven’t returned the favour for ya. please reach out any time if there’s something you want to chat on. Thanks also to GD for making this platform a reality for us. Having been doing this as long as we have now, it’s scary to think about tracking our grows any other way. CHEERS! 🍻
