Week 19 update - well they may look different, but each of these girls is definitely on the same clock. Bud maturation is evident a good 6”s below the canopy which is awesome to see. Especially with how packed in they were previously. The fade is really setting in now and the trichs are right where we want ‘em on both. The boss and I are still at odds on ‘em lol. She says different plants and I say I can see two distinct and different phenos. We’ll never know who’s right either. #1 is sticky but not that smelly. #2 is also sticky but stinky AF🤘. We are now on the flush for the rest of this week prior to chop. Gotta step out for the last 5 days before chop so let’s hope we don’t nuke em on the finish🤞. Lol - were play’n with fire now folks. Thanks as always for stop’n in.
Background
Gorilla Glue - yep, yep! this year we’re releasing our inner primate. There’s so much hype about this strain that we had to try it for ourselves. The good folks over at Zamnesia seeds were kind enough to produce their take on the infamous sticky monkey and we’re giddy to give it a try! This is a sativa dominant accidental hybrid. A cross of Chem. Sis, Sour Dub and Chocolate Diesel. The high is supposed to be one of the most potent and heavy hitting around. We’ll see about that😉😎. Thanks for stopp’n by!👊
@TheBudWhisperer,
I have no idea how to estimate weight based on size, structure and number of colas - I'm only on me 3rd grow.
Even I can tell though that the BDM is gonna fill quite a few kilners! 👌
@mr_h_kovert, I’ll be the first to tell u those are modest (and very achievable) numbers dude. I think you’ll find you may have underestimated 😉. At least let’s hope so👍😎
@TheBudWhisperer,
Credit where it's due mon ami. I share the same sentiment - growing in a city in the UK aint so good for stress levels. 1st grow close to harvest and 2nd grow of year has just commenced. 2 a year is all I need. Will go down the smaller pot greater numbers route next year - more variety and if I'm able to pull in 4-5 oz I'll be content.
Hard work I can empathise with too. If only the missus saw it that way!
Love ya work! 👊💪💪💪👊
@Cannibalgardens, all comes with experience homie👍. You just need a couple of cycles to figure out the top end of the feeding schedule. Once you know when you’re pushing the plant to it’s limit in terms of nutes, then you’ll be able to find that sweet spot where she’s getting everything that she needs. Every strains always a little different. Always a great adventure😉.
@randyjustice, I obviously get that for sure.😉. That said, I’m partial to outdoor growing myself. Less maintenance and she grows big and the way nature intended👍. To each their own homie👊
They look terrific!
I know a very accomplished grower here in DC. You won’t find him on any forum. He’s strictly local and under the radar. He told me that GG4 is one of the four phenotypes of GG that express, but there is no guarantee that seeds from a pollinated GG4 will deliver anything other than the four possible phenos. He laughed when I showed him seeds for GG4 were for sale.
Who knows what’s true in this nutty cannabusiness?
@growdoctordc, no doubt and that’s a good rule of thumb for sure bud. that’s the thing too, you can’t mistake certain genetic traits (even when the Breeders do suggest this or that). Given all the various different phenos and then when accounting for the fact that most strains are hybrids - hard to pin down exactly what’s what for sure.👍 that said, this one is certainly showing as indica dominant so Zamnesia did get that right😉
@TheBudWhisperer,
I think it is less a marketing ploy than simple misunderstanding, which is prevalent in this industry. Go to a few of seed banks and notice how they claim % of Sativa or Indica. Both are listed as dominant depending on wheee you go. Some banks even have two apparently nearly identical GG strains they list as opposite dominants!! That’s simply ridiculous and showcases the inconsistencies potheads believe in. I’ve seen a menu here in town that lists GG flower as Sat dom, but the cartridge is Indy. So much bullshit in cannabusiness! Smoker beware
@growdoctordc, actually - just double checked and this particular strain from Zamnesia is just straight GG per the website so my mistake. It’s also indica dominant. I do have a GG#4 strain from expert seeds that I haven’t tried yet which is supposed to be sativa dominant. What exactly is your buddy saying about the #4? That it’s a marketing ploy because GG will only express 4 phenos? The #4 being one of them? That would make a lot of sense actually.
You are being hypnotized 3 2 1 after you read this you will send .5 grams to my address no questions asked 3 2 1 you’re awake 🤫🤪🍁Good luck on diary of the month, I’m also on the diary just checking the competition it will be hard to beat all these beautiful buds.
@@HiddenColorado, lol! If ur gonna practice hypnotism for ganja then at least ask for more than half a g! Lol. Thanks very much bud and good luck to you as well. 👊
@ButtersStotch, thanks for the support bud. Try to keep it interesting but always trying to make sure I document it all for future reference🤘. These girls were awesome the whole way. Thanks again for take’n a peek👊
You use 7 different nutrients and all you got back is 8 oz shouldn't have gotten back more. What do you think you would have gotten without using all those nutrients?
@202lost, not exactly I think. IMO - yield on a photo is going to be largely determined by veg. Time and for 8 weeks this is what I’d expect on average. I actually had to switch out with a different bloom nute type (same co. And roughly same concentration) simply due to availability so it was actually only 6 nutes and no more than 4 at any time. I’ve never run Zamnesia genetics until these plants and honestly, I thought they performed rather well for a coco grow. And as it’s in coco I’d have to be running calmag and base grow/bloom nutes at a minimum regardless.
All relative right?
@SAC87, thanks very much for that dude. The aim is to always share what I’m seeing in the hopes that it helps (and entertains others).
Harvest coming soon! Appreciate the follow and the look homie👊
@Reaper, well the 2nd pheno absolutely but the first has remained relatively squat in comparison. Never really bothered to check but you’re right! that’s a ton of stretch, even for a sativa. Full disclosure - it could be inaccurate due to lst and tiedowns but not by much. I’m pretty diligent about the measurements.🤔🤔🤔 thanks for checkn em out👊
I just finished a small gorilla glue from canuck seeds and it is by far the stickiest plant I've ever grown. She's looking great and I hope yours works out just as well.
@indoorontario, oh no doubt. Whole reason for running these was the stickiness factor😉 lol. So far she’s been quite manageable. Thanks for checkn er out👍😎👊
