A few plants are a few days behind the others from germination speed but overall I'm really happy with outcome so far for my first grow. Any tips for a first time grower outdoors? also considering putting a few of the plants indoors if I can find room for my setup in the upcoming week.

Any tips to improve the quality of my bud and overall plant? For both indoor and outdoors would be appreciated but outdoor tips are a necessity, thanks! Also, a few of the plants entire head and leafs are sloping to the side, any ways I can fix this problem so early on?

Hi there mate first tip I can offer is Don't attempt to feed them yet wait another week and they will appreciate the food and grow accordingly. 2nd Tip try to keep the soil and nutrient feeds in a PH range of 6.2 - 7 this will allow your plant to optimise nutrient uptake. 3rd Tip is for outdoors , Prepare your growing area now and consider some sort of protection for your seedlings to combat animal/pest attack. Try to keep the plants in full sun but away from very windy areas. 4th tip is if going indoors be very careful taking outside soil indoors as you might inadvertantly bring umwanted creatures in as well. (bugs , diseases ) %th tip is for your last question .. It wont hurt the plant if you add a little more soil to those cups which will also help support the plant, just dont cover the leaves with dirt. Hope Ive helped 😃

so far plants are growing great, having a bit of an issue with yellowing leaves on two plants however just gave them fertilizer last night hopefully they will start to turn around in the next few days.. any suggestions on fixing the yellowing leaves? I'm assuming its lack of nutrients.

Any idea on what nutrient deficiency I'm having? plants are slowing starting to yellow at the tips of the older leaves as well as small yellowish/brownish spots. I think its either potassium or nitrogen. also whats the easiest way to fix? would manure and fertilizer work?

Hi there NiagaraFalls , the burnt tips on the leaves are a sign of nutrient excess and it's called nutrient burn. next time i wouldn't use any nutrients until week 3 or 4 if you can avoid it , as you can see it's not necessary to add more juice with store bought soil that might already be rich. For now water with plain water until the problem stops spreading probably a little over a week. The most affected seedlings will be stunted forever and will grow more slowly than the rest, just a heads up in case you need to make a hard decision. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Not sure whats happening with some of them, getting yellow and brown leaves starting at the tips as well as a moldy look to some leaves and they are shrivelling up. They've only had high nutrient potting soil and a fraction of dosage from vertafarms organic nutrients. Also the weather past few days has been In the 30s as well as high humidity. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just flushed all the plants today because they are finally going to be transplanted one last time tomorrow into a 3gallon pot and first proper fertilizer and nutrient feeding tomorrow! (order delivery has been slow). the 4 biggest plants were topped a few days ago and are now branching out, hoping all the plants will start to shoot up a bit more over the next week or so because I only have a few more weeks until theyre gonna start flowering. some of the tips on the upper leaves are starting to yellow/brown, what nutrient deficiency is that a sign of? hoping that it will go away after I apply the fertilizer/ nutrients later today.

got a couple quick questions.. 1) dumb question but did I top my plants at the right stop for the second topping? (see last pics in week 6). 2) any idea whats causing the browning tips on my one plant? 3) any guess on yield potential? growing in Ontario, will start flowering soon

Hey Niagra to answer your first question you topped them perfectly for the 2nd topping. You should have 4 branches where you originally had one. The brown tips are nutrient burn from a previous overfeeding. May have been hot soil. That damage won't repair, but that won't affect her. What I see going on now with the yellowing is a lack of nitrogen. I suspect you may have been overwatering and this causes lockout so the roots can't absorb any nutrients. The best thing to do now is let them dry out quite a bit then start give them a half dose of nutrients to get them back on the right track. They are still in good shape and should recover pretty quick.

start of week 7 today, really happy with how my plants have been going considering the late start and lack of nutrients early on. hoping to get another couple weeks of vegetation (3 weeks fingers crossed) in before they start to flower. Just feed the plants again today, hoping the new tops will pop up soon over the next few days as well. I know its still early to tell and its dependent on many factors, but any guesses on potential yield? just looking for rough estimates, first time growinng and I started late so just curious as to what I should be expecting (or hope to lol).

plants are been growing like crazy this past week, the supplements have helped them shoot up a lot quicker. really happy with my plants so far hoping to have another week and a half atleast of veg until they start to flower. I think my goal for them is going to be an oz per plant.. might be a little optimistic but we'll see how it goes! Also, my new veg on the plants is quite a lighter green than the rest of the leaves, is this normal for new vegetation? just to point out as well the last photos of the plant thats budding was stunted very early on so I left it as is thinking it would die off but started to flower.. I've kept it now just to see how the buds will eventually turn out on the other plants.. really happy with the look of the buds so far!

Having a bit of a problem still with mildew mold, hopefully I’ll be able to get it under control in the next few days, weather has been really rainy and humid past few days which hasn’t helped. Other than that really happy with the budding so far on the plants finally looking like some nice firm colas. Can’t wait to see how they look in the weeks to come. The photo of the nug is from the same strain from a plant harvested last week.

Pistils can turns brown for many reasons, check you plants to see if there is an hermie in the group ( can be a plant with 1 or 2 pollen sacs ) . The fact that the rain is falling on them can make them get brown faster, and generally it happens when you spread something on the buds . The last reason could be age of the pistols , maybe they are old and browning because your plant are producing new white pistils so she don't need the oldest ones

5 weeks of flowering as of today, looks like I’ll have another 3-4 weeks until they’re ready for harvest. Tried apple cider vinegar w baking soda and soap for the pm but all it did was cover it up for the night.. now trying another solution (grow store bought) and it seems to be doing a much more effective job, hopefully it will help till harvest. Colours are also starting to come in now, looks like 1 purple Kush and 4 gelato.

Week 6 of flower (week 4 flower for purple Kush) weather has been getting worse lately lots of rain w high humidity and dropping temps. Other than a little bit of powder mildew on a few leaves the buds look great. Going to spray plant down with pw spray tomorrow before the rain starts again for a few days. Was hoping to give it another 3 weeks before harvest but might have to harvest a bit earlier going to depend on how the weather is.

Last week or so until harvest, colours are really starting to show now, leaves are turning purple and parts of the buds as well. Had to harvest two of the gelatos last week before the pm took over but buds are drying well will update soon. Purple kush is a few weeks behind as I’ve mentioned before but the buds are now turning purple as well and are looking great. One plant now has a ton of little bugs all over it, other two seem fine and have moved them from the other plant but what bugs are they and how can I get rid of them?

So near to harvest i just wont spray anything but plain water onto the plants, to get rid of those lil foggers. The good thing is, your plants are close to harvest. So i would just let them be where they are. If you harvest, cut your plant in branches, those branches put in cold water and soda (Natronbicarbonate). let the branches for 30 mins in the sodawater then the bugs are dead and your weed is fresh and very good to trim. I wash all my outdoors in bakingsoda( natronbicarbonate). Branchesa re better to trim, and the weed dries faster ( it dehydrates) so keep us informed

Gelatos are finally getting ready for harvest! Lots of purple and orange colours with a really potent, sweet kush smell. The nugs are also covered in crystal. Going to be harvesting one tomorrow and giving the other one another few days. I will upload some photos of the purple kush as well but it has another 2-3 weeks to go before harvest.
