Absolutely delighted with this plant! My first ever grow and I was learning on the go. It has suffered from major heat stress as a seedling up until week 2 and then again during week 4-5 when we had a heatwave. It was also suffering from lock out due to overwatering at least once and yellow tips through nutrient burn nearly weekly! This has to be testimony to Barney's if you can put the seeds through hell and they still produce a tasty harvest! Will definitely grow this one again as it smells delicious and is sticky icky icky!

First time grower and I bought the wrong nutes, I got soil instead of coco ones but they did the trick anyway!
Again nothing to compare against but buds ended up really sticky so no complaints and will buy more!
No complaints and did the job
Dont know if I needed this or not but didn't do any harm!

Got to the end of the grow and she is now hanging drying. Dry weight is just an estimate dividing the wet weight by 1/5th. Took a few buds off a couple of days ago to quick dry and try. Smells absolutely amazing with fruity rhubarb and pineapple smells. Placed them in a paper bag on the car windscreen in the sun. Just about dry I ground one up n smoked it! I may be new to growing but not smoking and have been toking 20+ years so I know a tasty smoke when I can get one. No where near ready to smoke this still gave a smooth cough free smoke with a nice buzz that took 5 mins to developed into a lovely uplifting body stone! BOOM! result! Cant wait till it cures, Beats anything hands down that I've been paying good money for from local dealers! Thanks to Barneys farm for producing seeds that can endure clueless people growing them and still producing a tasty harvest. I will definitely use your seeds again and have great memories of getting blasted by the volcano vapes in your coffee shop in the 90s. Also thank you very much to everyone that took the time to comment and share their priceless knowledge over the grow! I'm off to roll a fat one and put the feet up. Cheers👍

Using the autopot feeding system, basically the pots sit in water 24/7 will this not overwatering them?

Hey Cheezy, well that's what it looks like when the trays are flooded, but eventually the water evaporates or gets sucked into the soil and drunk by the plant. HOWEVER ! Right now you've got these seedlings, and the bottom feeding technique is NOT YET suitable for them. That's because their "root mass" isnt very massive yet lol their roots are too small for bottom feeding is what i'm trying to say. So for the first 3-4 weeks you should absolutely top feed , that means watering from the top. When they get established as young plants they'll be able to get bottom fed. Right now if you dont top feed them, they'll dry out and die. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi, anyone any experience of the pineapple express auto that could comment on how it looks? Just think its lacking something? Also would it be good to trim a few leaves from the Kush and #119? Both very bushy and have been leaf tucking but didn't want to start snipping.

Hey Cheezy. After checking out your diary I see that you are giving them plenty of food. The light green yellowing starting on the lower part of the pineapple is a sign of nitrogen deficiency which has to be caused by lockout from too much water. You can tell by the droopy leaves and fat thick puffy leaves from absorbing too much water. It is a good idea to get in the habit of lifting your pots so you can kinda get a feel for the difference in wet vs dry. You want to let them dry out quite a bit before you water so this doesn't happen. Let them dry out for a few days and they will turn around quickly. And as far as the defoliation. The leaf tucking is for the birds in my opinion. I have tried it and it is a constant battle. Just remove any of those upper leaves that are blocking light to the lower budsites. She will reward you with many more fat buds in the end. Best to start of taking a couple leaves and see how she reacts. Then take a couple more a day or so later. Overall your girls look great and with a tweak here and there you will get a great harvest. Good luck with them!

Thanks guys, sorry I should have been more clear I've been top watering and now they are a bit bigger (update imminent) I've switched it on. Basically the pots are flooded at the base constantly and it doesn't seem to go down at all As you say Dilligaf they are ment to dry and release more? If they start to look like they are getting to much I'll switch it off n go back to top watering! Many thanks for the input Dilligaf and Labossanova much appreciated 👍

@CRiSPrGrow, cheers I'll keep an eye on them, just worried that the roots don't get as much oxygen as they would like if they are flooded 24/7

@Cheezy_G, yeah i had to do a double take on the pics, lol great work so far, it's basically normal for the trays to get flooded, but it's not normal for it to be always flooded, try to make sure the release system is flat in the tray... keep an eye out , there might be a little stress from getting used to the bottom feeding but beyond that looks like you got a great set up cc. @dilligaf

Hey mate, adding air-dome makes sure that the roots are in water that has oxygen. It will help a lot with not over-watering them and drowning them. But roots must be all the way done in your pot and if everything goes as it should it will take around 2 weeks, sometimes around 10 days before that happens. Must hand water until then... I also think the air-dome will help if u hand water to much, at least if u give to much and there is a pool of water it will have oxygen and not drown the plants... I hand watered and over-watered, the domes saved me and dried my medium faster when I turned on the domes.

@ivik80, deffo gona add them in to the set up, next lot are germinating in readiness for the harvest! I've read they can increase yields by 30% so its gotta be worth a pop👍

@Cheezy_G, The thing about this hobby is we all never stop learning. I have overwatered my fair share of them. Sometimes it's nice to have a fresh set of eyes to check things out.

@Wicked_Stix, many thanks, I'm kicking myself for overwatering them! I'll let them be for two or three days and then lightly water them again. I thought I was pretty safe with coco and perlite mix, that the excess would just run off. I think I will give the other two a wee trim tommorow as there are so many bud sights on them everytime I tuck a leaf its obscuring a bud elsewhere. Once again many thanks for the input cheers.

Removed a few leaves from the Sensi #119 and Critical Kush tonight. Hadn't planned to defoliate but there are hundreds of them so thought it safe to take off a few of the biggest blockers and hopefully not harm them too much. Will see how they respond in the morning after a night's sleep!

That's them started to flower so pumped the lights up to 600w and added 1ml of samuri bloom into the 1ltr of today's water. Just for a laugh I'm collecting the run off and going to give it to my greenhouse tomatoes!
