I finally have the heat at about the right temperature I added a greentube 35w heater. During the end of week 4(really 3). So this week I’m attempting low stress training which for me was very high stress: They say a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. My first attempt wet flawlessly, I honk this made me cocky. My next attempt, I tore the main stalk fml, number three went well but I later tore the stem slightly as I had been handling the cloth pots by the rim which is where I had safety pin and my soft training cord rookie mistake. I learned a lot this week mainly never ever ever low stress train your plants after you have watered them nowhere on the Internet nor in the books does it say that but it makes and now seems self explanatory. Also, I found that if you play with the stem and work back and forth a little bit almost in a very very gentle super cropping type of way the LST probably would’ve been easier for me. So now I have two damaged plants 😐

It’s a girl! Wow @fast buds these girls won’t quit! Even given the damage my neophyte self inflicted; tearing the mainstem they didn’t stop they are still growing, thriving. I’m so thankful for the good genetics thank you Fast Buds 420! Also big shout out the Plagron that green sensation is a mad man I really feel like I should used that nutrient sooner.

I’m just amazed the girls are healed now no bandages on what is it by super crap them one big fat knot where the tear was. The girls are short (like I like my women) but I think the cheaper grow light is letting me down. Great genetics @Fast Buds 420 The Sugar Royal is definitely doing its thing. ❄️ I noted what looked like a magnesium or sulfur deficiency, after some advice from the grow shop I top dressed with Epsom salts. The heat is getting to my girls I went old school on some advice and put frozen waterbottles in to “swamp cool” my girls.

Getting exciting now. Last feed was today! Let the flush begin... On the down side I’ve been fight temperatures up to 27-28C. I think the ice blocks have been effective.

The flush is being done by only using tap water(gassed off 48hr) ph 6.4 as this grow was organic. I’m still battling high temps but 🤞 I’ve been successful. I hope I’m doing everything right. The pistil hairs are now starting to turn red and I’ve begun looking at trichomes. More are cloudy than clear no real appearance of amber or red/brown in color. I have arbitrarily chosen day 80 as harvest be cause it falls on a weekend and during a no moon. Any advice on when to harvest is very much appreciated.

Hey casso, so basically the plant is ready when (at minimum!) 100% of the trichomes are cloudy , clear trichomes means they are "empty" so no interesting molecules inside them. Amber means they are oxydised that means they are degraded (still interesting properties though!) . It's really not a good idea to look at the pistils for this , anyway all the pistils turn brown when you chop. Same for choosing day 80 : this is totally arbitrary it's best to go with the right data for this and of course the moon's effect (which I do believe is significant) is less important to your plants since they are indoors. You really need to look at the trichomes nothing else. I grew this strain before and what I can tell you is that it's a slow maturing plant, mine took 15 weeks if I remember correctly and they were 100% cloudy no Ambers. You can start the flush now anyway : in soil with autos the best thing is a 3 week plain water "flush" with no run off anyway. Apart from that these really don't look close to ready, six shooter gets fat right at the end, the difference in yield if you wait the correct amount of time will be pretty huge, but it's up to you to be patient growmie ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

This week I am watering at a ph 6.1 and 6.3 continuing the organic flush. Other wise I’m really just enjoying the intoxicating sent and beautiful fall colors fading nicely. Well it looks like they are going staggered anyway #2 “Doc Holliday” wins the hand and has just been plunged into darkness. She looks done. #1 “Butch” can use a few more days and #3”JW Harding” needs like a week.

And then there were two... They are fading out nicely now. The amber trichomes are coming in and the girls days are numbered. I plan on moving them into darkness on Day 86. #2 came down last Friday and pictures to follow in the harvest week. As this is my first grow it has been amazing adventure and learning experience. I’ve found it hard to control the grow space environment with temp swings starting to hit extremes in both directions, and fluctuations in RH. 🤞

Plunge into darkness on day 86, 88days in total. #2 DOC was taken on day 79 as an experiment as her trichomes were all cloudy with little to no amber - it will be detailed in a smoke report... I am delighted to say that all 3 made it. Harvest to follow!

I really enjoyed the entire process and I will continue to grow. Who am I kidding I loved it I’m hooked! I will definitely grow this strain again as I don’t feel as though I did her justice with all my rookie mistakes. I learned so much, easily the most rewarding hobby I’ve ever taken up. I will continue to grow organically but my focus has shifted to the rhizosphere it’s microbes, fungi and bacteria. I haven’t had the pleasure of tasting the fruit of my labor I will put up the smoke report after a 1 month curing. Keep chasing them trichomes 🌱
