Had a great experience with this strain. Going to try to replicate as best I can to try and save some money as it's a little pricey. In this setup I'm using a brand new 400 watt hid light which for the first couple of weeks I am going to dim to 250 watts. The seeds were dunked in RO water for 18 hours and then put in damp paper towel for about another 18 before they were put directly into their pot of soil. The soil is a combination of fox farm ocean forest (unused portion from last grow) and fresh happy frog soil. In a few weeks I will top dress with a mix of gaia green power bloom and fresh soil. It worked well in my last grow so I'm going to do it again. I didn't need to fertilize with any other nutrients and the plants were fine for their life cycle. Hopefully all goes as planned but you really never know with cannabis. Keeping my fingers crossed for good healthy plants.

Pretty happy with how quickly they are growing so far. They are all roughly the same right now but I'm sure I'll start seeing variations in the next week or two. Still debating on whether or not to pull the center over to the side for lst or just pull the side branches out. I've seen success and failure with and without it so it's a tough choice. Day 12 and I can't believe how fast these are growing. Faster than anything else I've grown, but that could be partially the new light. I'm leaning towards lst from the centre of the plant because they could end up being tall plants otherwise.

Day 15 I top dressed each plant with a mixture of 1 litre of soil and 3 tbsp gaia green power bloom. I also decided to go with the lst as they are growing very quickly. Day 17. They seem to be responding well to the lst Day 21: I can't believe the speed of growth. The difference from the beginning of the week is just crazy. I don't know if it's the light upgrade or the breed, maybe both. I'm happy either way. Now I just need to get them to the finish line.

Unbelievable growth. Every day around the same time I open the tent and I'm just shocked by how much they have changed. Day 22 I started stretching more of the lower branches out for light. Starting to see the difference in the plants now too. I seem to have a small medium and a large. I rearranged them under the light to see if It has any effect on it. Day 24: discovered first pistils on one of the plants. Day 26: it looks like they are starting to even out in size again. Still shocked by their growth. If I can get them to the finish I'm sure I'll have a great yield.

With autoflowers, at what point do you switch from metal halide to high pressure sodium lights? When the pistils first show or when you actually start to see budlets?

Tricky but simple. If you want the plant to stretch then use the HPS when you see the 1st pistils so she'll gain height, but if you want short plants do the whole stretch under MH then switch to hps when the stretch is done ( when the vertical grow is finish ). According to me it is all about the spectrum : Blue to get them short , orange to get them tall , 50/50 to get ... best of both world

Really filling out! Day 30 : I think the tops are starting to form buds. I should know in the next couple of days for sure. Day 33: still not completely sure about the budding. They just keep getting bigger though. I was finally able to pull out the humidifier. The moisture from the plants and soil is keeping it hovering around 50% which is plenty. Day 35 one plant is clearly budding other two are not far behind.switched over to hps today.

Clearly getting in to flower now, the smell is to much for my filter it seems. I'm starting to smell it Faintly in my house. May have to get a new one if the smell gets any stronger. Day 36: first major issue for this grow, the hps light is way to hot. My vent is just not powerful enough, and fixing it is not an option right now. Going to switch back to the MH for now, not sure how that will work out. Anybody with any experience flowering with MH? Day 39: defoliation time. Added another layer of top dressing (1litre fox farm soil and 4 tablespoons gaia green per pot) turned down the MH to 150 watts to hopefully reduce any stress from defoliation. Will increase gradually over next 2 days. Day 42: the plants seems to be fine after their defoliation, they just keep getting bigger every day, but that should stop fairly soon I think.

I think upward growth may have stopped now. They were putting on several inches everyday for quite a while, now they have been the same for about 3 days. The little buds are starting to take shape and the smell is already very overwhelming. When I open the tent it stinks up the whole house, can't wait to see what it's like in a couple of more weeks. Day 47: soooooo they are not done growing, just measured and they are 3 inches taller than 2 days ago. Also the buds on two of the plant look identical while the third looks just slightly more developed. Day 49: still fighting temps in my tent. Not sure if all the foliage is trapping the heat but it is hovering close to the 26degree mark which I would like to keep it under. Thankfully I can dim my light too 250 watts if need be until i can do some more defoliation. Should be well past the halfway mark now. Most other growers of this strain harvested between 85 and 95 days.

Still growing taller and buds are filling in. I never thought I'd grow autos this large. Unfortunately the heat in the tent continues to be a problem. I have to keep dimming the light back to 250 watts to control it. Now that I don't have the AC running in the house as much it is effecting the temp in the tent. Regardless of that, the plants are huge and a lot of buds are going to happen either way. Day 56: buds are slowly getting bigger. Patience is not my thing, another 30 or so days to go.

What can I say? These girls are doing fabulous. Not sure if I should do another top dressing, they are pretty healthy as is, but not sure if the microbes in the soil have enough food to last another three to four weeks. Day 60: seeing a clear difference between the one plant and the other two. I am going to start taking notes on the differences and will try to clearly define the phenotypes that I have grown so other growers can know what to expect if their plants start to exhibit similar properties. Day 63: pretty heavy defoliation on two of the plants, they were getting pretty bushy. I have an image labeled 'plant A' that one needed little defol and is the one that is different. That plant started flowering earlier and has perfectly sparse leaves letting lots of light through to the lower buds. I won't be surprised if it finishes a week earlier than the other two.

Day 71: buds are looking good, but I'm hoping they fill out a bit more. The top leaves on the plants seem to be being light stressed. I was able to increase the distance from the light by about 2 inches. Also I was finally able to vent outside ( fan still sucks though) and was able to reduce the heat a little. Day 72: plant A still farther along than others. More of the pistils have turned brown than the others which have very few. Day 74: I've noticed another difference between plant A and the other two. The other two look like they are producing chunkier buds, indicating a indica leaning structure for these phenotypes. Plant A's buds seem a little smaller and spread out indicating possibly a sativa style structure. Although, if it is sativa leaning, why is it so much farther along than the other two? Sativa cultivars typically take longer to mature. Day 77: plant A is getting close. A week, maybe a little more, but it's already developing amber trichomes while it still seems to be bulking up on new pistils. The other two are bulking up and just have a few hairs that have started to turn. Probably at least another two weeks for those ones.

Looking good at this point. Can't wait to get harvesting. It looks like it will be a staggered one, which will be helpful that I don't have to do it all at once. Day 83: I was thinking about harvesting plant A tomorrow but it looks like she could go another week. She still has about 20% white hairs. I am seeing a fair bit of amber meaning she is pretty much ready whenever but I think I will wait to she if she puts on any more weight. The other 2 are at least 2 more weeks to harvest. Day 84: last day of week 12, I thought I would be harvesting by now but I should be by next weekend around day 90 for plant A anyways. She is glistening and so close to ready!!!

Day 85: Plant A got its last watering, at least for now. I will be harvesting her by day 90 or so. May only harvest the tops and leave the lower stuff to ripen. We'll see when the time comes. Day 87: yeah so I decided to start harvesting plant A. She is ready, and I will be taking her down over the next few days. I cut off all of the main colas about half way down. Hopefully some of the lower growth will improve with some light exposure. Trichomes are cloudy and Amber's have started appearing more and more over the last week. First impression is the buds on this one are not huge nor super dense. Still, not bad, certainly better than the last auto I grew, but I can tell just by looking that the buds on the other two plants are going to be larger and probably more dense. Then again it is typical of sativa leaning plant to have airier buds so really it's going to come down to what it smokes like🤯 I will be doing the harvest portion of this diary when the last plant comes down. Day 88: hoping that some of the lower buds on plant A will improve a bit after lifting them closer to the light. I may give them another week or so. The other two plants all of a sudden are racing to the finish. A lot of the pistils have turned suddenly and the trichomes are getting cloudy. Still probably a week to go though. Day 89: having second thoughts about plant A, I might just take her down today, she's looking pretty done and I don't think leaving her under the light is going to help her grow anymore. Day 90: plant B will be harvested in the next day or 2. Plant C maybe a few days longer.

Nothing but pure RO water for the next bit. Plant B should be done very soon. Plant C looks like it's taken the most abuse but it will probably yield the most. Day 94: plant B is looking pretty small against plant C now. One week of drying for plant A and it's now in jars to cure. Day 98: well they just keep growing so I'm kinda holding out on harvest. Plant B is pretty much there and plant C is still just going crazy with new pistils every day.

Plant B has got to come down sometime this week if I can find the time. Plant C will hopefully be done sometime next week. Dropped the light schedule down to 12/12 to see if that hastens maturity. Harvest update for plant A: 35 grams of nice buds and 34 grams of loose buds. Smell gets stronger every day of curing. More of a sour orange scent than sweet so far. Kind of like the taste of the white part of the orange, if you know what I mean. Day 100: switched out the lighting to 150 watt hps. (Dimmers are great!) Thinking maybe it will help enhance the terpene profile in their final week. Day 104: so plant c quickly caught up with plant b in terms of maturity. They are ready for harvest and I will hopefully get a chance to work on that tomorrow. Day 105: harvest section to follow in the next week or two when buds are dried and in the jars.

What a great grow!! I was happy with these plants right from the start. They grew vigorously and everyday I was shocked when I would get the chance to check on them. I will give an overview of my grow and then a more detailed description of each plant as they were all a little different. 3x3 x6 grow tent 400 watt dimmable ballast for MH/HPS (this was set to 250 watts almost the entire time. I ran it at 400 for brief periods but found it was just getting to hot. These plants were grown, start to finish, almost entirely under metal hallide.) A 60/40 mix of happy frog and ocean forest soil. 5 gallon plastic pots. Gaia green power bloom soil amendments (top dressed at week 2 week 6 and week 10, although it probably didn't need the last top dressing.) RO water Calimagic Liquid weight carbohydrates Plant A 35g good bud, 34g larfy buds Plant B 42g good bud, 23g Larfy buds Plant C 41g good bud, 27g Larfy buds I included the Larfy buds in my final weight because they will still be used for edibles and hopefully some ice water hash if I can get some bubble bags. Plant A: this plant was accidentally topped from lst at the end of week 5. The main branch must have snapped off due to the pressure. It ended up having the lowest yield probably fo that reason. It also finished a full 2 weeks earlier that the other 2 plants. Not sure if the topping had anything to do with that. The buds on this pheno were long, slender and very hairy. I found that all three plants smelled the same while growing (crazy strong skunk smell) but vary now that they are curing. Plant B: this plant had the medium sized buds of the three but still ended up yielding the most. The buds are fairly tight and the hairs were more curled in through flowering which makes for a smoother appearance and, aesthetically, these buds are my favourite. Plant C: This one looked the largest but upon drying found that these buds were just fluffier than the other 2. This one also seem to have the most trouble with the grow set up. I'm sure it was light stress, but not for intensity or nearness but possibly for the length of the 18 hour day. Just a guess, I'm no expert, but it still made it to the finish alive. About 3 weeks after final harvest now and I finally got some bubble bags. I filtered the 25 micron on the first run and I just lumped the rest together instead of having like 4 different grades. I do love hash, but I'm not connoisseur level yet. Going to let it dry for about a week then will probably press it, frenchy cannoli style. Huge thanks to the team at paradise seeds for hooking me up with some great genetics and a really nice shirt, I love it!! I will be running a couple of these seeds in my next grow, space cookies and California gold in organic living soil will be first up, stay tuned!!
the end.
