Lot of changes this week! Start off with the end of last week, had a branch get so heavy it snapped so I had to early harvest a few nugs, very dense in structure, dint take a wet weight but Iโ€™ll have a dry one to add to the total. None of the branches can support their own weight, yoyoโ€™s off look like a bud octopus coming out of the res. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Pictures of early harvest are listed in last weeks photos. Overdrive and the Co2 boost really speed things up this week, I have 80% colored hairs, 80% milky and 10% amber trichomes, peak THC harvest so Iโ€™m flushing this week with Flawless Finish. Itโ€™s been a long journey but it has finally come to and end. Lemon Zkittle harvest coming soon, just waiting on the plant to burn off all remaining nutes for a smooth clean smoke, still growing strong!๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ

The Ideal-Air 30 Pint Dehumidifier is great for small grow rooms and drying rooms. Purchase a condensate pump along with the 30 pint dehumidifier for easy continued use

@Mrs_Larimar, I am currently using the inkbird and itโ€™s the best product so far just need a stronger dehumidifier, Think it jumps so easy due to it being hydroponics

If possible, let your tet open while the lights are on, give more airlow( add a fan) or maybe look for a warmer location for your tent ( warmer temps lower the rh) because dehumifidiers are expensive , loud and mostly warm....
Punchman
Punchmancommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, Thankyou for the tips, I currently have two 6โ€ hydrofarm fans, intake and exhaust and RH is good when there on but when fans are off thatโ€™s when it jumps, try not too run the fans constantly cause of the noise but with a 600 LED Iโ€™m seeing heat and RH rises with fans off, I have one plant also, imagine after 4 DWC. Iโ€™m thankful for any advice on this Journey!

Hi @Punchman! This is country-related, since we have various brands & models around the globe, but basically here are the criterias you should look for: good pumping capacity (amount of water extracted per hour), coverage (surface covered by the engine), power (energy cost), drain system (how to get rid of the extracted water), robustness (how solid it looks), and last but not least, the humidistat function (capacity to automatically regulates the humidity, through a dedicated sensor or via an external controller). Depending on your needs (your current controller, your budget...) you will have to benchmark what's available around you. After looking at my local growshops I finally got myself a home dehumidifier with adjustable settings, my tent controller is only able to handle the exhaust fan and I didn't want to change it, in the end I'm very happy with the home dehumidifier (cost~300$), the only downside --> it usually increases the temp by 2-3ยฐC. Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information, and happy growing! ๐Ÿ‘Š

@Stick, Thankyou sir, new tent so Iโ€™m still figuring out how to regulate the conditions, havenโ€™t stressed the plant too much but going to flower next week so you know how important that is, nice diaryโ€™s Iโ€™ll be following!

I noticed in your question about dehumidifiers, you mentioned low light output. Side note that may also be useful here: my wife can't sleep if there's any light in the room, so I went around and put electrical tape over every little LED or display console. Even the little red light on the corner of the TV that stays on when it's off. Black electrical tape works great for this! Duct tape would also work well but can leave behind a sticky mess when you pull it off.

Doenst the co2 emmer has to be used from start? Or is it possible to use it mid grow?
Punchman
Punchmancommented5 years ago
@ElegantBuds, doesnโ€™t have to, most growers only use C02 in mid to late flower to reduce stretching. When you use it is all up to the grower.
