Grow Questions

I am using General Hydroponics trio (FloraGro, FloraBloom, FloraMicro as well as CalMag). My ppm is currently at 700. The grow chart says I should be between 950 - 1400 but was told to use 1/2 of that. I would like another opinion on what my ppm should be at 29 days old.

My ppm in my 70l veg tub, I keep around 800-900 at that stage of growth, starting water has 115ppm so I'm adding about 750-825 ppm of nutes, and pH at 5.8-6.3. My girls are loving it... Complete water change after adding 70 l of water during topups. Cheers! DWCHC👍👈

Hey! I just started using the GH series and noticed the PPMs run higher than my other feeds. I have used botanicare and rarely do I get above 600 PPMs, if I do, I start to burn the plants. Watch how the plants react. Your plants right now look extremely healthy, Check the PPMs and if they are rising, then you are overfeeding, if they are lowering then its an underfeed.

the pistils get dry and orange/ brown/they just cahnge their shape....they ate still there but not so good to see because of shrinking if they dry... everytging seems fine in your grow.......if you want to know if shes pollinated look at the calyxes.. better said into the calyxes... they are swelling ( normal) and if they are pollinated you find seeds in it

I dilute my molasses in hot water before use.

@Med_in_Tropic, My roots are in rockwool slabs so I can’t inspect them. I flushed them with RO water and cleaned the reservoir, but that’s about all I’ve done so far. They seem to have recovered from limp rubbery leaves. Leaves are still very soft but not as limp. I will look up trichosan. Thanks for your help!

@WoodRooster, slime means there are bacteria or some other organisms. It take a lot of work but will prevent root rot. I would prepare hydrogen peroxide solution to disinfect the roots and the tank. Drain and clean the tank. Disinfect things. Inspect the root. Replace solution. Use root stimulants. I prefer trichosan. But please look up hydroponic references.

@Med_in_Tropic, Are you saying the slime is ok?

Hi @WoodRooster! Your plant looks great, almost dark green, this means she had enough nutrients and don't need more Nitrogen yet. Remember to slowly decrease N intakes the week before you trigger the flowering stage, this will prevent a big stretch and help roots to focus on P&K to maximize bud-sites and expand flowers later. Half of the recommended doses was the right way to go. Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information. Happy growing! 👊

@Stick, Just so I’m straight on this, you are saying I should fill out the tent horizontally before flipping?

I think I’ve figured out why my plants hermied on me. I have an extension cord with a lighted end on it hanging 12 inches over my plants.

Today I flipped to flower hopefully the spray I used to kill fungus gnats didn’t shock my plants too bad!
