At the beginning of last week this one started getting some brown spots and yellow blotching in the leaves which I first thought was calcium deficiency. I gave her a little extra calimagic but that didn't help. The brown spots were working their way through the veins of the leaves and even started affecting a few of the sugar leaves. I had to do some research on this one and it was looking like a phosphorous deficiency or a root problem were the only problems this could be. I dug into some of the roots and they look healthy so I added a little dose of Beastie bloomz to the reservoir. Beastie bloomz is 50% phosphorous. After watching the leaves for a few days the brown spots stopped spreading so I guess that was the issue. None of the other plants in the system showed any issues so it is pretty strange but we are back on track. Her buds are still stacking up and a few of the older calyxes are starting to swell. Hoping we can cruise along for the next few weeks until we get the finish line.
She’s lookn pretty bud👌. Real interested to see how she turns out👍. Hope the bugs have moved out and good call on the pre-order of preds. Just in case👍👍👍
@TheBudWhisperer, Thanks. I hope there are no more issues. I am going to start soaking the room with permethrin before every grow and see how the bugs like it.
@TheBudWhisperer, It's crazy. Should be near freezing weather outside and we are having 70f+ temps almost every day. I don't think they were plant eating bugs but it looks like they are gone.
We will probably harvest around the same time (mine got 1st flush coming tomorrow). It's so cool how the scents change so much through the bud phase.
We can send send a PM and smoke our finished product at the same time in about 6 or so week and compare notes :)
@MomnPoppaSeed, yes! When it is just dry enough to smoke that first bowl you can tell if it is going to be just good smoke or killer smoke. I really enjoy the flavor.
@Wicked_Stix, myself I like yo get the 1st hit of the bud when its barely dry enough to keep lit.
In fact i usually run out and take smaller less desirable bud sticks to dry and try while the rest finish.
I know that it gets more potent and smooth with cure but that fresh green taste is nice.
Plus we need to get an estimate of its potency before we brag to our friends!!
@MomnPoppaSeed, That sounds awesome!! The aroma on this one is the strongest fuel I have smelled in a long time. Can't wait to get a taste of it! I will be loading a bowl as soon as it dries haha. I might be weird but I think the taste of freshly dried buds is hard to beat. Definitely not as smooth as cured buds but I love fresh weed.
@agentgreen420, Thanks! I use earthworks soluble powder that is 90% humic acid. It is much cheaper than the liquids. You can get a 5 pound bag of it in Amazon for cheap.
@TheBudWhisperer, Thanks! I hated to see you had to trash yours. This one had a rough time for a couple weeks there but she is turning out some nice buds. I'm ready to get her chopped and dried
Hey man, your plants are beautiful. Can you tell me roughly how tall they are? I'm growing white widows too and I'm trying to figure out if I need to top them, is that what you did? I am also planning on using a SCROG net, do you have any thoughts on that? Thanks in advance for your help!
@longgreenbull, Oh sorry I misunderstood. But yeah if you are going to flower soon then I wouldn't top the white widows either. Just do some lst. It is usually best to top at least a few weeks before you flower them
@Wicked_Stix, Sorry, I sounded confusing with my explanation earlier. The plants that I'm thinking about topping are White Widow photos. They are at about week 5 or 6.
I only mentioned auto earlier because I was trying to let you know what else I'm growing in my tent. I hadn't planned on topping them.
