So I have been growing Seedsman’s Original Skunk No1 for the past two years which has a very nice Sativa euphoric high, the smell this weed gives off is insane. Having a little half gram bud in your pocket people know when you walk in the room you give off a good radius of skunk roadkill odour it is very pungent and hard to hide. The glass mason jars I cure them in give off the slightest bit of smell even being sealed air tight and opening a jar to grab a few buds the house the entire house would just absolutely stink of potent skunk for about 3-4 hours I could probably just smoke in the house and it would be the same. Had to learn open the jars outside lol the smoke is nice pungent kinda earthy spice and gives off a hard to smoke in public smell. The stone lasts 3-4 hours with a nice energetic talkative high, if you have work that needs done this weed gets it done with a creative touch. Growing it is fairly easy however I always seem to get spider mites near the end for some odd reason could have been the house I previously lived in I’m not sure. Flowering takes 9 weeks or so and most recent plants have been showing some purple in the flowering stage. Beautiful smelly buds and a great high cannot go wrong with this strain.
Awhile back I found smoking Super Lemon Haze to be a fairy equal high with even more energy burst and a great lemon skunk smell so I decided to get some seeds I couldn’t wait. Some of the seeds didn’t open 2 did one turned out weak and another was nice and bushy just the right height and gave off an amazing odour even before flowering and finding out it was a male. It did have a great resistance to spider mites being beside a plant that had them for a couple weeks and I never found a single one on him. I didn’t want my money and time growing the sexy plant to go to waste so I topped it and then flowered it to harvest the pollen. I decided I would love to try my hand at breeding seems my last hobby was breeding African cichlid fish why not a plant.
I harvested the super bushy and stinky male plant and stored the pollen in a nice tight jar with rice and tied bags in the freezer until my female was 3 weeks into flowering and I pollinated just 3 branches of the mother. 6 weeks later during harvest which yielded 107g from one short bushy plant I set aside the 3 branches and started pulling seeds. I got about 200 nice tiger eye seeds and it barely affected my final yield.
I stored the seeds in a bag for a couple months and decided I am going to grow a few at a time through the flowering stage. I am going to clone each plant just before flower and keep the strongest most desirable qualities plants aside and keep them going. I heard creating a strong strain takes years but I at least would like to combine qualities from these two awesome strains and get some great smoke for myself down the road learning and gaining experience along the way.
I have changed my growing medium to canna coco from soil hoping to reduce my risk of spider mites and also read things move along a little faster (they do) lol my Skunk No1 clones seem to be growing much faster and healthier than ever before. The plants will start off under a 300w led then end up under a 600w mars hydro for flowering. I still have a few kinks to work out with environment and humidity due to moving my temps stayed the same but I guess with them being in a bigger room my humidity dropped about 15% and sits around 55 need to best that up a bit.
To germinate the seeds I placed them in water for 12 hours all 3 cracked open. They then went between two container lids in moist paper towel for about 18 hours and I placed it on top of my tent for warmth the root shot out in no time so I carefully placed the seeds into the waiting coco and the broke ground a short while later nice and healthy looking in about 48 hours nice. The first week they got just plain 6.2 water every other day and progressed slowly but steadily.
More updates to come. As you can see the Skunk No1 makes you creative and talkative haha lol
Day 14: this week I introduced a small amount of nutrients for seedling and cuttings. The first weeks seemed so slow but around day 12 they just started growing noticeably faster, they are still short just how I like them in the start leggy seedlings are so ugly lol. All 3 are growing same the speed and size and are already showing signs of secondary branches starting. One actually got knocked over I seem to be doing that once per cycle but thankfully with the coco sits nice and loose and very light so it didn’t affect the plant at all.
One plant is a slightly lighter green hard to see and the leaves are also not quite as wide as plant 2-3 the smell is a little more pungent than the others as well. Surprisingly these little things are already giving off some smell I thought was from another plant but turns out it’s these 3. Already smelling a bit skunk fresh at 2 weeks nice and when rubbing the leaves they are skunky with a touch of diesel.
Next week I will transplant and start bringing the nutrients up a touch.
Nutrients:
100-150 ml per plant every other day or once dry
Ghe Floragro 5ml per g
Ghe FloraMicro 5ml per g
Ghe Florabloom 5ml per g
Ghe CaMg+.
5ml per g
They got this twice over the week with one ph 6.2 watering in between. They also get a light water misting once to twice a day.
Nutrients:
250-300 ml per plant every other day or once dry
Ghe Floragro 11ml per g
Ghe FloraMicro 10ml per g
Ghe Florabloom 5ml per g
GHe CaMg+ 10ml per g
They got this once over the week with 2 ph 6.2 watering in between. They also get a light water misting once to twice a day.
This week growth was a little slower due to the repotting still consistent but slow all plants are the same size with one still looking completely different than the other two.
They were fed same nutrients this week with a regular ph 6.2 watering
This week I made a mistake and watered them to much and it slowed the growth and took a couple days to dry out only one plant looked a little limp but I didn’t see much change in growth. I let them stay dry an extra day and then reduced a nutrient feeding to about 300ml per plant hopefully they drink this a little faster. All plants still equal size with the one that looks different showing the purple stem trait from the mother more then the other two plants.
And now I am finally caught up was a couple weeks behind in my posts lol
This week I did a light LST and removed one upper fan leaf each to allow more light. All 3 plants are exact equal size and now have the same appearance still the one plant is showing the purple stem trait from the mother.
They will get a couple more weeks to have secondary shoots come out a bit enough to clone and I will put them into flowering.
They were given one ph 6.2 watering and another ph 6.2 mild vegetative nutrient feeding both at 350 ml and I am going to reduce ml amount this week they taking a touch to long to drink
There has been a lot of really big changes this week all around the board. I found they were drinking way to slowly and especially when feeding nutrients so I cut back the nutrients to around half what I was using and I also reduced the amount of water and the ph from 6.2 down to 5.8 I was giving so that I am feeding every 24-48 hrs they were taking 3 plus days at times. Partly to do with environment I noticed I been sitting between 72-75 during the day but nights dropping as low as 60 plants look cold in the morning and take awhile to perk up.
I got a new 2 chamber tent and am now currently housing them in the smaller side of the tent much easier to control environment but still getting a little cold at night.
Since making these changes the plants have made a very noticeable turn for the better growth has sped up a lot feeding is more regular and they generally seem very happy the smell has increased big time and when rubbing the stems gives a smell of juicy fruit and bubble gum combined very unique fresh scent the mother gave of a nice juicy fruit smell when touching the buds near the end of flowering.
These girls are going to grow another week or two so I can get decent clones then I will put them in the larger chamber with the mars hydro pro ll flowering lights.
All plants still growing equal with the one still showing different leaf structure and and more of the mother’s traits.
Another week of consistent growth my night temperatures still dropping way to low to about 60f only one plant shows signs or being cold she still grows consistently but droops a little in the mornings. These plants are really starting to smell potent especially the one with wider leaves. Last few times i tended to them the wife said my clothes wreaked so I’m taking that as a good sign considering they not even flowering yet lol.
Going to give them a little trimming have only been tucking away up to this point. this week I will also give a flush and next week I will start transition to flowering nutrients and hope the bottom growth stretches a fair bit.
This week they were fed vegetative nutes twice in a row and one watering all at ph 5.8
Pics are of ladies right before lights out they appear cold as usual at this time. Still need a solution for when flowering lights turn off in flowering side of tent the temp drops a few degrees and makes the vegetative plants cold most of the day they are perky and reaching for the lights.
Another change this week in how I water I was still watering like it was soil and letting them dry all I did was increase feedings by 300ml to 600ml and after 48 hours I am watering again the coco is still a bit moist and I am getting better drainage should have done some research before jumping into coco instead of just trying to flee the dreaded bugs with soil. A few mites and gnats stuck around and all I seem to be able to do is keep the populations low and not completely get rid of them ugh.
Ladies growing consistently with plant 2 smelling up the place with its citrusy skunk smell and the other 2 are a bit sweeter smelling less skunk. Put on a few inches over the week and I removed some lower or light blocking leaves. Got the pots ready for clones which will be done tomorrow and then they will get the flip to flowering 48 hours later. I can’t wait to seeing what they produce I have a clone of the mother skunk no1 right now with huge swollen buds half way through flowering.
In the pic of all 3 plant 2 is the middle one looks and smelling way different yumm
Day 6 flowering
MASSIVE changes across the board again this week. I am finally getting my grow room 8x5 and tent 4x3x7 dialed in and fully environmentally controlled with some new Inkbird toys. Also massive changes to the plants.
So when I moved the 3 plants to the flowering room they increased humidity by nearly 30% from 50 to about 75-80% was outrageous and probably very harmful to the other in week 5 of flowering with their big swollen buds so I needed to take drastic measures.
First thing I did was increased ventilation added more of a breeze which helped but not enough so I removed most of the main mature leaves all the way up the main stalks probably 90% of those leaves off all 3 plants. Waited a day and then spread them out with some LST. Those 3 changes dropped the humidity 15-18% of what they created introducing them to the room. NOT ENOUGH UGH so a couple days passed racking my brain reading dehumidifier reviews and spent $100 on a nice little unit that I’m still waiting for. During my search I found Inkbird environment controls COOL lol add to the cart haha.
As the week went on the plants preflowered and what a mix I had 1 for sure female 1 for sure male and the really nice stinky plant had both parts a Hermies was really unfortunate cause it smelled and looked awesome. I don’t have time for the males right this early in testing the seeds so I gave the 2 plants the chop. BYE. Humidity letdown to 55% only 5% extra now and still waiting for the dehumidifier so I can stop constantly worrying about temps and humidity.
At least I got one nice lady in the end with a clone started to root that I plan to give a lot more LST to see how it reacts as opposed to just letting it grow nearly natural shape this round. I also plan to take another clone on day 12 of flowering see how bushy it can get monster cropping her she has the perfect branch at very bottom already producing flower so should work out nicely.
The lady stretched a lot on her lower branches with a fair amount maybe to much space between nodes but I also had them a lot further from lights first few days because I switched from 300w lights to mars hydro 600w flowering lights so probably pushed the stretch a little further then I wanted.
In the end great week unfortunately 2 plants didn’t make the cut but the new toys and 198 more seeds I have left of these it’s all good I’m sure there will be some diamonds in the ruff. And no more worrying about temps dropping below 60f at night anymore with the Inkbird and 200w heater to keep the temp consistent in the entire room 8x5 and a fan to keep it cool for now. I’ve got the humidifier ready and waiting to control the room and the dehumidifier planned to go inside flowering section up high above lights. The room is set to 72 the tent goes to 76 during the day and 65-66f at night consistently now thankfully.
She drinks 1 litre in under 48 hrs now and am feeding transitioning to flowering nutrients for a couple more days then gradually going full flowering nutrients over next week.
Will get better pics later in the week was a rush job. Anyone has questions about the humidity solutions or Inkbird feel free to ask was such an exciting week with the new toys.
Morning day 14:
Stretching finally stopped wish a few lower branches got a bit longer but they are still getting light down low and flower growth seems consistent down there. Another week and she will be more central under the light which I gradually moved down a few inches per day this week to 18 inches. Her nutrients were switched from stretch to bloom and she is dramatically increasing in watering amounts every 24 hours and flowering has begun nicely. And took a small clipping from very bottom to see how she forms up monster cropping her.
Found a few spider mites trying to invade her from the 2 being removed from the room over next week or so, hopefully I can keep these fuc@s off of her long enough spraying with 9 parts water 1 part alcohol and manually killing a few here and there.
Heat rose to 78-80 up from 73-74 while dealing with humidity. I purchased a 750ml per day dehumidifier for the tent which was $100 and it worked and looked nice didn’t raise temp so much however I had to return it because it had to be manually powered on and that won’t work with Inkbird environment controls. I returned it and purchased the smaller $50 vivo sun dehumidifier which is rated 400ml per day so half the workload. The vivo sun works at nearly the exact same performance taking water out of the air and can be disconnected from power and auto turn on so bonus only downfall was the 6f raise in temperature meaning we need to rearrange the room and bring the temperature controls into the tent instead of heating around it and not just humidity inside will have it under control in no time. Hopefully have time to do it over next few days.
Need a small dehumidifier the vivo sun actually works decent for a 3x4x7 space go for it.
Water schedule:
She now fully switched to drain to waste feeding nutrients every 48 hours with 20% run off at 6.1ph
Every watering seems to increase 100-150ml
Ghe bloom 5ml
Ghe veg.
1ml
Ghe micro. 4ml
CaMg+.
4ml
Now up to 1.6L per 48 hr
Day 21:
Great week for growth she put on 3 inches in height and still seems to be going the buds are starting to form nicely all the way to the bottom of the plant fairly consistent size bud sites. I’m noticing that a few buds that are slightly blocked by light seem to be swelling a little bit faster. Think I found the groove of coco finally and she seems to be loving life despite getting mites back every few days but that will all change this week.
Her smell OMFG for only 3 weeks in to flowering this is one hell of a potent smelling girl it actually reminds me of harvest day to the mother skunk no1 plants with a little extra umph. I personally don’t smell it when I’m in there but just opening the tent I can smell it in my whole 3 story house. Yesterday I took her out because she still has a few mites so I gave her a treatment in the room not the tent I then went outside for a smoke and when I opened the door as soon as it cracked open was like BLAM harvest day x2 for a 3 week flowering girl wow the strong smelling father really adds to and compliments the skunk. Touching stems is a deep pungent almost arm pit Odor and touch small sugar leaves is a very fresh almost hospital hand sanitizer with a touch of lemons and juicy fruit. The skunk no1 juicy fruit pheno that I am using is showing strong but I am also seeing some additional features coming through from the father such as structure and the added potent smell because he was one of the smelliest males I’ve seen yet.
Side note was running low this week so went to a gov run dispensary for first time since it’s been legal 2018 and nice place what crap selection of bud and omfg was it dry I just give it the look 😠 and poof it was powder driest weed I’ve ever seen and kush haha ya.... yea okay and 16$ a gram at that lol no more dispensary for me.
Watering:
Per gallon
Ghe floragro 1ml
Ghe flora micro 4ml
Ghe florabloom 5ml
Ghe CaMg+ 4ml
She is already up to 2L every 48 hrs about 15% runoff
I wish I potted her in my new 5gal mesh bags I’ve never tried them she clearly could have used more space.
Flowering Day 28:
Rocky week for her this week. My power bar suddenly decided it would turn itself off every couple hours even when I thought it was fixed and had reset timers it would go out again. Was a couple small couple hour light disturbances this week but it did not seem to bother her at all. Replaced the power bar everything back to normal. Also removed her roommates who had some spider mite problems this week gave her a 9/1 water alcohol spray down and sanitized the tent lights and equipment go figure the next day she had the most on her I’ve seen so far. They managed to damage a few leaves with white spots however I went over the plant 2 days in a row and squished as many as I could visibly see still only using alcohol and water as it evaporates quick and doesn’t burn the pistils touchy subject during flowering. Things seem to be getting better just larger mature leaves have some white spots. Doing the spot check squishing these #$&@ers I’ve touched a few trichromes and my hands literally smelled extremely pungent and skunky very reminiscent of being near an actual fresh dead skunk roadkill smells so amazing. Actually reminds me of the first time I got a whiff of Columbian gold in Jamaica (one of best weeds I’ve smoked parent of skunk no1).
As for growth she visually puts on growth by the day buds are getting larger across the board and the main cola fills in dramatic over a 24 hr period opening the tent is a surprise every night considering the week she has had. I have only removed a couple leaves maybe 5 over the week and about 11 total in her life I want to lollipop her badly but I also want to see how she goes being left as natural as possible one of her clones dramatically took off with growth so i will leave the tinkering and manipulating to the clones. If any more leaves will be removed will probably be the massive mature leaves near the top they got some bites and block light.
Original Skunk No1 has a 9 week flower time and super lemon has a 10 week flower I’m thinking this should land somewhere in between so that means she is coming close to the half way point of flowering I think she looks good so far and can’t wait to see what that main cola starts doing over the coming weeks.
Lights are at 16 inches now from her growth and it is not harming her in any way I am going to bring them down slightly over next couple days to around 12-13 inches see how she reacts.
Nutrient:

Per gallon
Ghe florabloom 6ml
Ghe floramicro 4ml
Ghe CaMg+ 4ml
Ghe floragro 1ml
Flowering day 35:
Approximately mid way through flower according to parents.
First straight forward week of flowering with no issues. This week I lowered the lights down to 12 inches and she took to it well and still reaches up for the light. I also reduced humidity to 47.5% from 50% Bud growth is still consistent but seems to be slightly slowing it appears some of the lowest buds have a bit more girth than the flowers up closer to the light I’ve noticed since budding started. this plant even has bud growing from the main stalk down near the bottom I have never really seen growth like this (reminds me of an armpit) lol but I do usually lollipop but decided not to with this plant want her to grow naturally. I already started twisting and pulling one of her offspring.
Spider mites are under control a few speckled leaves nothing major. I go in and squish new baby’s every 48 hrs before watering to keep them in check hopefully this week there will be zero left everyday is dramatically less
She is up to 3L of nutrient water every 48 hrs and is bone dry I think I might have to water everyday from now on she is real thirsty I also upped the Ghe bloom by 1ml over the recommended schedule I’m using for this week. I’m wondering if the pot drying in 48hrs has to do with growth slightly slowing hopefully water every 24hrs helps before she reaches the swelling stage. I have tucked and tied together some leaves for more light instead of removing leaves but seems it’s week 5 and this is last good time to do it I may defoliate a few leaves that have spots or block light.

Day 42:
This week I noticed bud growth slowing and a couple pistils are changing. With the skunk no 1 hairs seemed to darken well before it was ready looking like this girl is the same hopefully she shows some purple in late flowering like the mother as well. I bumped the top cola right on the tip and it didn’t change much for about a week and all the sudden yesterday it started again almost looks like a star on a Xmas tree haha growing fast again.
This plant is starting to bulk out nicely and the stems even the thinner ones are strong and capable of supporting good weight they are very stiff and when moving the plant or touching the pot it shakes for a good min trying to rebalance the weight. The main cola is nearly 12 inches and I’d say pushing a half oz easily and before the bulking out phase of flowering. I am still also noticing the lower buds with slight shade have more size then the upper buds, overall the lower plant has great bud growth and even the main stalk strangely is producing buds that are fair size. Pictures really do not do this plant justice she is very beautiful and large in person 2.5’ round easy takes up the majority of a 3x4 grow area glad I didn’t have anything else flowering on the same schedule.
The smell of this plant blows my mind I touched a bud lightly to feel density and my fingers literally stuck together with smell like I seriously touched a dead skunk freshly run over then it simmers to a very fresh and skunk juicy fruit/lemon/mint. Opening the tent is death in my house it’s skunk like harvest day and nearly foul smelling makes me chuckle every time I go out for a smoke 15-20 mins and come inside to what smells like hardcore skunk ass coffee brewing just lingering even in the farthest reaches 3 floors away in the house and behind 2 closed doors hahaha
Changed feeding schedule to 2L every 24 hours and amounts this week phased into ripening nutrients removing Ghegro from the lineup
Nutrient:
100% nutrient feedings per 24hrs 15-20% runoff at ph 6.15

Flowering Week 7:
Pretty good week for weight not much visual change they are just getting phatter and the buds are starting to look golden. There is new growth on some of the buds especially in the main cola some new nice white pistils shot out. The smell is under control when the tent is closed just a mild little bit leaking through the recent reversed carbon filter. When opening the tent is another story this girl is seriously resembling a skunk roadkill almonds foul to the nose. The juicy fruit scent is fading but it has a smell of mint lemons and almost a purple bubble gum scent it’s very nice and extremely extremely sticky.
From switching to the late bloom nutrients I noticed the very finest white tips like pinhead size for first time on leaf tips I decided to just keep nutrients the same all week and she adjusted herself nicely and has nothing more than the pinhead white tips. I still have not removed any leaves I have only removed 10-11 her whole life and she hasn’t lost a single leaf to age disease or damage very healthy her whole life so far. I have been tucking leaves under branches and have tied a few together with plant tie to allow more light.
The inner main stalk seems to still be producing bud and they are all keep able size nugs which will sure improve they yield. The lowest buds on the plant are swelling nicely and are getting way bigger than mid plant buds, the cola is massive the width of my hand and as long as my forearm very nice.
Plant would do amazing with right lst and defoliation her first clone is looking beautiful and ready for flowering in a couple days.
Nutrient:

Day 56 flowering:
If anybody asked me today what this weed is called I would name it “Sasquatch Skunk” the smell is just absurd I have been needing to open the tent and leave it open for about 6-8 hours because my grow room is getting to warm increasing the tents temp to around 81-82 when it’s open it’s down to 74. So opening the tent is like a musty skunk leaving it open my whole house smells of rotting skunk fruit or cheese no specific fruit like a bowl of foul fruit very pungent. When I take the plant out of the tent however this beast just absolutely fu#$ing stinks bad assaults your nose with pungent armpit skunk roadkill. The smell of weed is one of my favourite smells and this just almost gets annoying it’s so deep and foul hence “Sasquatch Skunk” the smell added with this plant just wants to bud from everywhere all up the main stem and even just started a bud out of mid stem right at the bottom of the main stalk very strange growth never seen it magically appear like that.
With raising temps I got a little tiny bit of heat stress on top of the slight nutrient burn from last week. Got the nutrients lower and no new problems emerged. I have been tucking leaves all week and even tying them together to allow light to some inner buds. Her stems are like pencils very stiff but I started securing some branches to the main stem to pull her together a little more and preparing her for her final week - s. Removed the massive sexy fan leaves from the top they were tied up all week and block to much.
The mother is always bang on 65 days and the father haze is 10 weeks so I’m thinking somewhere in the next 9-14 days she should be ready I am going to start flushing in 5-6 days. She is starting to show a small amount of purple in her upper leaves and buds she got that from the mother who started showing purple in her last week of flowering. Some buds are similar size as skunk no1 but much much denser buds are very hard👍
Reduced Ghe micro from 4ml to 2.5ml also been gradually raising ph to 6.4 over last 2 weeks

Flowering day 63:
Buds are packing on some weight this week in probably week 5 I hit the tip of the main cola on a door nob it stopped growing a few days then started again almost looks like a foxtail but it just healed itself and started growth again. Some other buds are still producing fresh pistils which also look like minor foxtails but after doing some research it’s common in haze strains, never seen new growth like this so late in flower. A couple leaves that had some heat stress are still curled a bit but no new damage. I leave the tent open till 2-3am where it is at 75 and then close it the last few hours it goes up to near 81. Only other solution keeps temps to low.
This is her final week and tonight is her last nutrient feeding the pistils are mostly orange with the exception of the new growth and the main stalk buds are just starting to change. I’m seeing a fair bit of milky trichromes and no amber. I can’t wait for 30% amber as this plant has already occupied my flower tent to long and she still has a few baby mites that appear every few days everything in the veg tent is clean so I do not want to carry them over to my next bigger flower session. She will probably get the cut between the mothers 65 days and fathers 70 days so day 67 or 68 will be it.
The smell of this beast has made a dramatic turn she still displays a foul pungent nearly like rotten garlic odour “Sasquatch” in the room and when touching buds or stems all bubble gum or juicy fruit scents are gone she now smells like a fresh cut lemon so fresh you can almost smell like the wetness of fresh lemon juice with an extreme skunk finish to it. I cannot wait to see what this week has to offer in the smells department she gives off new smells every day seems more intense or a complete change.
Noticed a few slight yellow spots as I was going through the plants checking to see if she has any Hermie traits and after observing them they burst out a bunch new pistils. I’ve even seen perfectly round balls form covered in trichromes and they also just explode with new pistils she really seems to want to just keep producing bud.

Day 69 flowering:
So I had a busy week let her go 2 days longer than I wanted however I let her water supply run dry for the last 2 days to increase the resin production.
This plant produced decent size buds all the way across the board with not much small waste buds at all. I have never seen the main stalk producing bud like this before and I believe it is going to dramatically increase the yield.
The 2 small buds that started at the very end, one sprouting straight out of the main stalk where I removed the very first set of leaves from in her early weeks really surprised me and honestly those last 2 seem like they will be the only buds wasted from her.
Keeping in mind there will be some shrinkage I am still satisfied with everything about this plant she is a down right smelly bitch and her smell resembles a Sasquatch that has been sprayed by a skunk. After chopping her I went outside for a smoke and when I came in it reminded me of when my cat got sprayed by a skunk or like I ran it over dissected it and removed the skunk spray glands lol. It is just down right foul and assault s your nose with a slight burn sensation.
I don’t weigh wet bud but I did for the main cola and it weighs 77g the bottom (cola haha) felt just as heavy. She is hanging in my veg tent with the lights out fans on and sitting at 73f and rh is about 60% contemplating doing a speed dry on just one bud I feel like I been waiting way to long to sample this beast but we will see.
Her first clone who is now 8 weeks in is going to put this plant to shame. It was lst’d a little and is a big massive bush. She is gone into the flower tent today. Maybe I will do just a flowering diary for her.
Will update once she is dry and trimmed with the harvest week.

Week 19. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!
Original Skunk No1 x Super lemon haze - Custom Breeder & Strain
Skunk no1 x Super Lemon Haze A.K.A.. (Sasquatch)
I am pleased with this strain on so many levels. I basically let this plant grow as naturally as possible with minimum defoliation and almost no Lst training. She was producing high quality dense buds right down to one inch over the growing medium. In the last 2 weeks 2 buds basically appeared in the middle of the main stalk with no bud site or branches it just magically appeared dead center of the stalk. Not to mention all of the lowest branches produced nice phat long buds.
I found the stems to be a great strength to support the weight of the massive buds and she didn’t need all that much extra support in the final weeks. I did add a few plant ties but she did most of the heavy lifting well.
My noticeable observation with this strain was buds that were lower or out of direct light tended to swell more and produce denser buds which reduced the amount of small useless bud almost every thing was keep able. I feel like the lowest branches on the plant produced more than the higher branches they were covered in bud from main stalk to the tip.
Her bug resistance isn’t 100% but compared to the Skunk No1 she did way better she had a few straggler spider mites when another plant that had them pretty bad she had very minimal. I finally got the spider mites under control after trying very many methods and it was as simple as using a no pest strip with my ventilation turned off for 24 hours completely obliterated all movement and I haven’t seen a single one since. In the US they are Hot Shot no pest strips labeled for spider mites. In Canada they are not labeled for anything but flying insects but have virtually the same ingredients so I gave it a shot and it worked amazingly. They are called Ortho home no pest strips. Save yourself time and effort and buy these things they work amazingly.
The finished cured product cured for 8 weeks of this bud is extremely frosted with dank hash smell on your fingers after touching them, they produce a nice pile of trichromes when using a grinder that I’ve been saving to add to my pile of sugar leaves to make bubble hash at a later date when I’ve stock piled enough to make it worth the time. Buds are extremely sexy and smelly coming out of the jar but after being in a bag and slightly squished I guess you would say, they have the best bag appeal I’ve seen in any buds for a very long time. The extremely potent smell of skunk and near a almost rotting garlic odour penatrates through multiple bags and layers of clothes creating a bubble of ode de Sasquatch around you making it very hard to be discreet about even carrying it let alone smoking it in public. Makes me chuckle every time I turn heads the second I walk on a bus or through a store and I see noses in the air going whew wtf is that hahahahaha.
For the flavour she gives off smoking is a nice one of my favs in weed dank basement kinda mustyness thanks to the haze and a near fruity kind of grapefruit earthy flavour she gets from the skunk no 1. I like to just throw little 0.2-0.3g buds into the pipe and smoke them whole without breaking them up and i am left with an extremely white ash from this clean but dank tasting bud.
Very shortly after lighting this stuff up it nearly opens your eyes wider and clears your mind to create a lot of energy towards thinking very creatively. It is an amazing day time smoke that often leaves it impossible to resist very large cleaning projects. I am always in the mood to just chill and watch tv and 5 mins later I’m vacuuming stairs or cleaning all the glass in my greenhouse lol sometimes it gets annoying because you just want to chill but all you do is clean and multi task all day lmao. Many people I have shared this smoke with say the same and that it makes them very creative and social. There is next to zero burnout or paranoia associated with this weed just lots of cleaning and good thoughts.
All in all I am extremely pleased with this strain high yield phat buds, sexy bag appeal, dank roadkill potent odour, clear headed creative thinking and a nice clean house you cannot go wrong with this smoke. Been told by a few people this is better than anything they have seen in the stores yet and a veteran 50 year smoker said it in his top 5 of best that he has smoked in that time. Simply great reviews that helps boost my confidence in growing.
Since this harvest I have tried monster cropping that was meh same result in yield and potency. Lst was a good method to growing this with defoliation periodicly however I found just letting her grow naturally to be the best she has very nice Christmas tree kind of structure and enough strength to carry the weight on her own.
I have a few people looking for phenos for me but this is definitely one that I will be proceeding to solidify the genes which means time to go smoke one and get on my reading glasses time for some more research. I have had a couple undocumented grows of this strain do to all my other projects and cleaning haha with the family being home for the past 4 months thanks covid lol but I will be back with some more eye candy very soon, my grow room got a complete upgrade in ventilation and lighting the Mars Ts3000 and I so cannot wait to see what this cycle produces with no more blurple heated lighting.
I plan to add a few more photos of buds after being bagged and smoked before considered entering into diary of the month so stay posted more eye candy to come I just added some of my favourite photos over the grow and a few closer views of bud.
Grow cycle was as expected 10 week flower time and using grow diaries to document share eye candy and get advice has been a great experience. Hopefully as covid clears up here in Canada I will have more time to spend in this awesome community. Thank you @growdiaries team the site keeps getting better great work guys and girls.
