They seem to be doing good and growing healthy. Humidity could be up a little but nothing a wet towel cant fix.
Will be starting with 1ml of Mills Vitalize in 1L of water as foliar spray.
Repotted the ladies from their seedling pots to 2l pots in coco.(atami)
They are going pretty okay. I did move the lamp up 10cm to 70cm from the plants cause i want to use mainlining and they are growing really compact with the light on 60cm.
The gorilla glue seems to be a bit hungrier than the og kush and gelato so i will be adapting to that this week.
This week went very well, the plants are really liking the feed increase.
I use mills vitalize foliar spray twice daily
Since the lights are on 70cm height they are giving just the right amount of stretch i like.
The gorilla glue is a bit hungrier.
The gelatos roots are really taking off so i might have to wait a little bit longer to repot so the others can catch up a bit.
Ph- is coming in so i can adjust it to 5.5 which should be the ideal ph for coco according to mills
So we are going into week 5 of veg, i had the light which performed better than i expected a bit too close so they were not stretching the way i like and now i adjusted to 90cm i think i hit the sweetspot.
The ladies are topped and lst’d right now so i hope i get a few nice main colas.
Still once a week vitalize but increased to 3 drops.
A & B increased to 3ml, startR to 1.5ml
Also daily foliar spray with the vitalize diluted.
They were a bit unhappy with the ph- so i lowered that a bit more to exactly 5.5
So veg is going a bit longer than i like but then again i like a nice basis for flowering so good things come to those who wait...
Ok so not much this week, did some defoliation and past topping before i switched to bloom. I still give one week of veg nutes and in the second week of flower the StartR will be out of the equation. At week 3 we will add some more but you will see for yourself.
We have a slight calmag deficiency so i plan to give that once a week @ 6.5ph
Lamp is down to 70cm for flowering stage
Well little update, so we switched to flower and we have females. Safe to say i will be hanging the #ts1000 higher from start at the next grow. Its a bit more powerful like i said before. BUT i might go with a samsung quantum board. They are loving the 5.5ph and #mills nutes. The gorilla glue that was hungrier before is now all good and the gelato is getting hungrier for nutes but i will keep them om veg nutes for a week. After that we are going with mills C4. There are some expected calmag issues(often with led lights) which could have been dealt with last week but the supplier was “busy” so yeah...hopefully it will come in the next couple days. They have taken very well to the training and if the light was higher from start i bet i wouldve had a full tent canopy so thats a little note to self for the next time. Until next week!
So had a rough week with alot of plant stress. Just couldnt wrap my head around it. First thought it was a calmag deficiency due to the ph...wasnt solving the problem...so we stabilised ph on 6.0 for the moment just for the calmag issues but the other browning of the leaves i couldnt figure out so luckily there are much smarter men than me @ mills nutrients so i decided to give dr. Mills himself a call and walk me through the process. Apparantly My tapwater has a surprisingly low ec (0.3) compared to the rest of our country which meant the feed schedule mills provided had to be tweaked a bit. She is starting week 1 of visible flowering so we will see what happens. The new growth looks alot healther and so im staying optimistic. Learning alot for the new grow 👌
Okay so just a quick update since last weeks Was a little late.
Since the convo with dr.mills @ mills nutrients i must conclude we definetly came to the solution. The ec and ph were all wrong and we adjusted and the plants are really flourishing again. They are certainly in flower now and showing good signs of recovery. The light is still performing good @ 60cm with stable temperatures. The fan i had (secret jardin oscillating monkey fan) broke down yesterday but luckily i had a spare lying around so that was easily taken care of. The plants dont seem to stretch alot more so so far the mars light is performing very well. Cant really say how its performing in the end due to the problems with the plants earlier so i will keep it around for 1 more grow to make an honest control evaluation.
Okay, since i turned up the nutes to get to an ec of 2 and ph- to ph 6.0 the plants are thriving again. The ts1000 light does not give off alot of heat so im currently dealing with some humidity issues. Preferable id like to have it at 40% or below but im @ 60% so boytritis will be a serious thing to watch out for. We are not there yet so i might get a dehumidifier but we will see.
So far the light is doing okay. Worth the money but dont expect massive yields. It overall a great budget light that does what its supposed to do for the money. If you are just starting out i cannrecommend it and upgrade when you are ready. So far it does outperform the 96 reflector but we will see on the bottomline what she did @ the scales. Happy growing 😊👊
It has been a fun week! The plants are thriving again. They are thirstier so we can water (and nute) more and it shows. Especially the gorilla glue is really stepping up her flowering and even getting some purple hues on the leaves and buds. The gelato is doing good too just a bit slower than gorilla. Og kush is a little slower than thay but no problem cause patience is virtue. I do think the mars ts1000 could give off some more heat. Could be the room my tent is in hence the purpeling on the GG i think.
I did have a major mold issue in the room because of some stupid couch we bought secondhand that apparantly had some moisture in it so had to adress that yesterday. All in all plant wise a good week again. Have a good one!
So far so good, little calmag issue again but i adjusted it and its going well again. Ladies are getting nice and frosty and im starting to figure out the perfect ratios for the gorilla glue. The other 2 are a but more difficult but we’ll pull through just fine. GG is getting nice and frosty and might be done a little earlier than the other 2.
Light so far is performing well but still miss a little heat as i can tell by the temp in the tent and the purple-ing on the plants.
well, i still feel like for my personal use i’d like a little stronger light. It does the trick but i feel that the ts1000 is better than the reflector during veg only during bloom the reflector does better in making denser buds. Trichome production is very nice though seeing i should have at least 3 weeks before harvest.
Other than that nothing special. Added some more calmag due to a slight deficiency coming up. All the other nutes are unadjusted yet. Starting next week i will drop them bit by bit till flush.
Smell is getting really heavy and fruity especially the gelato smells beautifully and the gorilla glue is living up to its name. Cant touch it without getting stickier than ducttape.
Og kush.....she’s just a carebaby....i’ll do my best but we’ll see haha.
Dont forget to have fun green thumbs and thumbette’s
okay so the trichomes of the gorilla glue & og kush are all but a few milky so i started flush. Ph’d my tapwater to 6.0 which took 10 drops! Of the canna ph- bloom.
The GG doesnt have those compact nugs as im used to but theres been some hickups so its to be expected.
The og kush buds are rockhard so that will be nice.
Gelato is still couple weeks out while it should be done about the same time as the other 2 but we’ll look for a good solution for that.
The smells are amazong though. Citrus fruits, earthy, heavy smells. I cant wait to cure these buds!
@Denzul, oh yeah definetly i had to tweak quite a bit here and there but as you can read my week by week dr. mills himself @ mills nutrients gave me some instructions over the phone and it worked like a charm. Im lovin it so far but dont think i will be reusing the coco. Just get a new bag of the atami and go again.
Turns out my ec of the tapwater is wayy lower than most here in the country so i have to give a little more nutes than on the schedule but now i know, i know 😉
@Grow_Bro_NL, coco is a fantastic medium. It does take a few grows generally to maximize its Benifits. It takes a bit to nail a feeding schedule that works for your set up but stick with it and will pay off in the long run.
@raptor65,
Thanks mate, past 2 weeks had alot of problems with calmag and P. Apparantly the ec in my tapwater is super low so i was underfeeding the plants so theres been some problems unfortunatly but we are on the right track again thanks to dr. mills @ mills nutrients 👌 it wont be what it could have been but at least i found a problem that wont be one in the coming grows 💪 thanks for the comment and you have a great season aswell!
I don't know how I missed this one but I'm all caught up now just in time 🤗
Really nice work with our Critical+2.0 Auto 👌
Entering the home stretch my friend 👍
All the best ✌️
Mark..
@DinafemSeeds, no worries! Im happy i was able to get the ph- and ec right just in time. Also the light doesnt do these plants justice so keep following the next grow. Im getting an updated samsung qb with lm301b’s next week with some more far reds so that should bring them out even better!
Thanks for the great beans,
Gio
@Ganjagrandaddy, thanks bud, they taste amazing now after cure.....very fruity scent aswell when you open the lid. I hate to brag about my own accomplishments but this is definetly one of my best tasting and smelling grows. Not good yield this time but its just an explosion of flavors
