This week started out fantastic. She is really packing weight on her flowers. Still not showing trichomes proficiently but, they are slowly making themselves known. It’s been amazing to see the bottom “crown” of flowers coming up from the middle of the plant. She is taking the shape of a bullseye, the main cola in the middle and masses of flowers growing in perfect rings around the rest of the plant. Very symmetrical. I can’t imagine what she would look like if left to grow outdoors without altering the light schedule so early. She would be a beast!
I am also a little concerned. The very top sets of leaves are starting to develop a few rusty spots on them, and the tips seem to be turning the same color. I honestly think its a little light burn. To be safe I raised the light to max and have only been using water in case she is burning a little. Spliff Seeds does recommend not over feeding this strain so I am not worried about cutting off additives for a while. Being that it is only happening on the very top of the plant really has me thinking light burn.
Otherwise, the rest of her looks amazing. A very healthy green and sturdy plant. I wish she wasn’t so heavy on the sativa side. I honestly would plant her outdoors this spring and watch what would happen. I live too far north for that however. Unfortunately.
According to Spliff, I should be roughly half way through flowering. I have also read that the strain is slow to blossom, so I feel the flowers should really bulk up and continue to get longer, at least the ones that are growing up in the circles.
See everyone next week!
