After a week of curing, the flavors still aren't what I was hoping for, but damnit this shit is potent!
Worse-case scenario is that I use the whole 9.5 ounces to make big, potent batches of e-liquid and cannabutter.π
4/20:
I grew two of them. One was about 3' tall (151g dry weight)and the other almost 5' tall(118g dry weight). The shorter one leaned a little more Indica instructure, but with small leaves and tighter, more dense flowers, so she weighed considerably more than her taller sister. The taller one produced some 18" buds, but they weren't as dense, and it took 2 additional weeks to finish. Both plants were very resinous, but the taller plant had the better aroma and flavor. Her terpenes are kind of like a berry-pine blend. Different. The shorter/heavier plant doesn't have much going on in the way of terpenes or flavonoids. A little bit piney, but not very pungent. Maybe that will improve with some cure time. If not, I'll run a big batch of magical butter with her or something. Both plants are very potent, and I can't honestly say I could differentiate the buzz from each plant because I smoked some from both at the same time and got all fucked up.....Head/body/both?? YES.π
Bag-appeal: 6/10
Flavor: 6/10
Aroma: 6/10
Potency: 9/10
Yield: 8/10
Stability/consistency of strain: 4/10
Final thoughts....when rating/evaluating this strain, I am mainly comparing it to the other Fastbuds Fast Flowering Photos I tested in this crop.
It is my least favorite of the testers I grew this time (#1, #3, #6, #9, #11) but far better than many other photo varieties I've grown, so consider that perspective.
I still have one of these beans, but doubt I'll get around to growing it anytime soon when there are soooo many other Fastbuds varieties left for me to grow!π
πππ hope your plants survive occasional nibbling by Felis catus. I have Similar problem but the pest species is Canis lupus famliaris. πππ
@Med_in_Tropic,
I also have occasional problems with that pest species, but I fear most that one of the Equus around here should get near them....game over in a hurry!π
@Silverback_Guerilla, Iβm in Bangkok Thailand.
My people are from China three or four generations ago. My body still think had not adapted to the heat and I sweat like a hog in this weather.
@Med_in_Tropic, So, you are in the Tropics?
My people are from Canary Islands and Senegal, and N.W. Spain before that....and Ireland on the other side, but that's 3 and 4 generations ago.
Wow man. For a minute I thought you missed a week between 4 & 5 because the difference was so drastic. I came over after a search because I have the same test strain going. Yours are looking excellent. Stop and check mine out. I had a setback and decided to let them veg out an extra week or two.
@ThatoneAKguy, No doubt...there was some explosive growth that week.
Yes, they are looking great...excellent genetics for sure!πͺ
Good luck with yours!
@grower_not_shower just came over to my PE journal and called the growth between weeks 5 and 6 βfishyβ so
I thought Iβd tag him here to see your week 5 to 6 growth and see how fish that is lol.
@grower_not_shower,
One word for you...HYDRO!
Growing hydro is always faster than soil.
And...sometimes, growers won't have time to update their diaries on the same day each week, so the updates and photos might be 8 or 9 days apart.
And..some strains grow more explosively than others...
And...some plants grow faster than other same-strain plants...
And..some growers are just better than others...
Don't be a hater!
@ThatoneAKguy, Dude, you're just proving my point. Your grow was more advanced at week 5 than this is at week 7. My plants are at about the same size at the same age as this grow.
