In the first photo you can see this little beauty germinated, and ready to be transplanted. The second photo was taken 3 days after transplant and shows the moment the seedling broke the surface of the medium. My germination method was to first soak the seed in a jar of water until it sank. I then transfered it to a paper towl. Once the root was 1/8'' long, which happened by day two, I transfered to my hydroton medium. After three days above the medium surface I figures the seedling wasnt going to shack its seed husk itself so I helped it out. Afterward its leaves fanned out nicely. My was pH quite high at this point, 8.1! as I was waiting on my pH Up and Down to arrive. I had also been keeping my reservoir water level half way up the net basket which iv since been told can drown the roots. After another day of my pH up and down not arriving I went to my local hydropoic store and grabbed some pH down. I did a complete reservoir change, pH balanced to 5.8, ppm 400 and brought the water level down to just bellow the net backet. On seedling day 4 I lowered the light to try and provide optimal light conditions. As they say more is not always better 😖. By day 6 it was obvious my seedling was not happy. Either the change in pH, light conditions, or both were causing distress and yellowing. I asked around for advice and it was also suggested that my seedling may be starving due to the water level decrease. I checked my pH and ppm. The pH was 5.8 but ppm was 500. I took out some reservoir solution and added straight 5.8 pH balanced water. I brought the ppm down to 380. I also raised the light back up to its original position. I also did a top feed of reservoir solution and a foliar feed of 200 ppm solution. I then turned off the lights for 6 hours. Up till this point my light schedules been 24/0. As far as I can tell from day 7 the progression of the yellowing has stopped. My ppm however was back to 500 so I removed more reservoir solution an replaced with pH balanced water. I have a feeling my pH down is increasing my ppm. Im hoping that it doesnt cause me to lower my ppm to the point of accidentally starving my plant. In the following weeks I will be starting a dark period cycle by starting with 23.5/0.5 and increasing the lights off period by a half hour until im at 18/6. Thanks for following. This is my first grow and tips are greatly appreciated.

Going into week two I did a reservoir change and added 1 tsp of GH Floramicro, Floragro and Florabloom for a total of 3 tsp of base nutrients instead of 3 3/4 to try and combat the yellowing of the leaves. Iv also added 18 ml of B-52 to help alleviate the stress this girls experiencing. May increase nutrients dependent on leaf colour and how much water/nutes are used over the next few days. I will also be adding in some benificial fungi + bacteria and some calmag. This will happen over the next few days as I dont want to shock her. After adding the calcium, magnesium and iron the yellowing improved significantly. As you can see in the video from day 13 though the roots are a little brown. I did add RAW microbes and im wondering if the browning is just a stain. If not though, being new to this I don't know if this amount of browning is something to worry about just yet. On day 13 I removed the plant dome as my humidifier finally arrived. Nice bonus is my temps went down since its a cool mist humidifier. As of day 13 I'm running at 60% RH and 23.5 C. Any comment to let me know your take on the root browning would be awesome. Thanks for following.

Should I increase my nutes? Iv gone through a lot of DWC journals on here that used GH and the ones that look the healthiest are using around 7 tsp/gallon at this stage. I keep getting such conflicting information.

Have been folial feeding with 1/4 strenght nutes and cal mend to treat deficiencies. Did a resevoir change Feb 14. Added 2.5 ml per gallon each of Floragro, Floramicro, and Florabloom. 10 ml per gallon calmag. 8 ml per gallon B-52 and 1/2 tsp RAW microbes. pH balanced to 5.63. 24 hours after Reservoir change pH was at 6.3 and there was some brown residue on the roots. I ph balanced back down to 5.6 and rinsed off the roots gently in the reservoir. Is the Brown Gunk nutrient build up on the roots?

I started the main line process as well as LST about a week ago. Play everything seems to be going well, but I woke up one morning after an LST session and there was a split and the joint the new stem. I've been told that the plants should be fine but if anyone have any advice when it comes to mainlining or LST it would be much appreciated. Not how I wanted to go into week 5 but I still think I'm doing alright.

Iv been having an issue with brown/red speckling on the leave the past few days. My roots had also been having a problem with build up so I started using UC roots and its looking much better. Goong to lay off the B-52 and Cal Mag as I suspect I now have a calcium exess issue. My vivosun fan also busted on me last week only a month in.. damn shame. Not happy with how she looks right now but im sure I can get he lush and secu again in no time. Been loftin on posting because Im disapointed. Learning a ton though and still loving every minute. Getting pretty concerned about this little lady. Though this spotting issue could be a number of things but so far iv had no luck correcting it. I had my twnt fan break down leaving me with only my exhaust inline fan and passive intake. Thought maybe this cause condensation leading to light burn, but have since gotten a new fan and new spots apear. Thought maybe calcium or magnesium exess as i was using quiet a bit if Cal Mend to correct an earlier deficiency. So I fed only Micro Gro and Bloom with so UC roots and still spots are apearing. Im going to try readjusting my nutes and lowering the concentration to do a flush and fingers crossed because IDK how much worse this can get before we git the point of no return. March 12, Did a flush today. 5 gallons water + 95ml of Clear by Dutch Nutrients throughout the hydroton. Did this 3 times. Then did a reservoir change with adjusted dosage of Nutes.

Thats calcium Trip Add cal-meg either foliar or to the feed, I would start with foliar just because its easy and doesnt mess with your nuets. Otherwise half dose of calmag to start. msg if you like

Much of what you do now is personal preference. It’s hard the first few times when our don’t have your own style yet but over time you’ll learn. But some general rules is no more topping or fiming. You can lst early but lst late can get hard as the branches stiffen up and doesn’t provide much real value late. Many, myself included like to trim up the bottom. It generally produces lower quality bud, takes attention away from quality buds, and blocks air flow. Many also do some defoliation on top. I personally like to remove any fan leaves that are blocking bud sites below. Don’t over do it. I never like to remove more than 15% of vegetation in a week because you don’t want to stunt it this late. The clock is ticking now. Hope this help.

This week getting to watch her start flowering has been the nost oleasurabke so far. Shes starting to smell pretty yummy to 🤤. Excited for the coming weeks and coming toks ✌️

Don't worry about density yet. The main cola bud sites with shoot up vertically, separating them selves from the others. You can then tell where to trim depending on what other buds/sites you want to maximize.

Iv been very cautious about uping my ppm due to the issues with the unidentifed cause of a calmag deficiency. However this girl was not satisfied at 650 ppm so this week iv set the ppm to 1000 🤞. So far pH is slowly rising but after a day or two the ppm started rising to. From last weeks reservoir behavior the ppm rise may soon be followed my a pH fall 😬 Hoping to find this girls bloom sweet spot soon lol

Hi @TripleCcannabis it seems to be 2 weeks to start the flush for another 2 weeks until the harvest. The plant is ready for harvest when the trichomes in general are all milky (90%) a few amber, you still see many transparent trichomes, it should be about 3-4 weeks until the right point of the harvest. good luck mate 👍

Looks like shes finally ready for the chop. Cant wait to see my wet weights. Went ahead and did the deed May 27. Got some decent sized buds. Good some popcorn nugs which im a little disappointed about, but all in all im happy with my first grow. Wet weights 2 lb 2.7 oz 🎉 that includes some stems though for better drying. Day 4 of drying and I couldnt wait lmao. I stole a little nug and smoked it. Tasted a little wet of course but still pretty yummy. Will update once I have a dry weight!
