04/27:
- found some white "mold" on the top soil of my Star Pupil. After researching it, I'm pretty sure it's mycelium that developped from the mycorrhizae that's in the TPS-One nutrients and the layer of mulch (I've been top dressing my soil with trimmed leaves, after they've been dried and crunched up). Apparently it's a sign of the soil being healthy!
- received and assembled a 2nd 2x4 light from RapidLed for my veg tent (still gotta order it)
04/28:
With the weather getting better and warmer, the temp in my tent reached 88F, to try to get the tent cooler I added a piece of duct to push the air outside of the room. I'll get the driver out of the tent in the next few days.
04/30: Starting to taper down my nutes before starting to just feed water with the Five Star (the Star Pupil takes an extra week to finish). I'm trying this LiquidSoil Remediator from TPS, apparently it allows you to reuse your soil right after harvest. From what I read it uses different bacterias to strip your soil from salts and jumpstarts digestion of old roots. You feed 5mL/gal for the last 2 weeks of flower, harvest and remove the root ball near the stem, transplant a new plant and feed another 5mL/gal during the first week of veg and keep feeding TPS-One. I guess we'll see how it goes!
- watered the Star Pupil with 2.25 gallons of filtered water, pH ~6.1, 6mL/gal TPS-One, 2mL/gal Signal, 2mL/gal Silica Gold, 2mL/gal CalMag AOC.
- watered the Five Star with 2.25 gallons of filtered water, pH ~6.1, 6mL/gal TPS-One, 2mL/gal Signal, 1mL/gal Silica Gold, 1mL/gal CalMag AOC, 5mL/gal LiquidSoil Remediator
- re-wired my LED light so I can pull the driver outside of the tent, to keep the temperature down inside.
05/01: The purple is really starting to pop on the Five Star, super surprised about it!
05/02: Started germination on new seeds for my next run, popped a Katsu Pupil and a Putang Nevil Chem, both from Mass Medical Strains.
05/03:

growing 5 star and it has turned purple with great bud formation in week 7 of flower - takes 8 weeks - also did star pupil but 5 star was the best all round and has that Pack-a-stand along with afghan and Thai _ going to get a very high yield for thisstrain
looks like "n" issues because of the leaves just flush and let plant get very dry before feeding - don't get me wrong great looking plants - these two strains can be difficult
@Azgrows,
have gotten good yields with a 30day veg not counting germination and seedling stages ( I start veg time when there are 3 "true" sets of leaves) I am on week 8 - at the end 60day flower - will be harvesting in 2 days There flowwer times are right on. Here are a few that I have: 5 Star - Star Pupil -Panama Goo -Fisheye OG -Acapulco Gold (a pure sativa heirloom/landrance) and GOJI Pupil
with a 30day flower = 3 foot plant = 1/2 / to 1 lb harvest
@airplane, for sure and thanks brotha!
They're in FF Happy Frog soil (with ~30% perlite), I only started feeding her some FF Big Bloom (barely any N) and some CalMag at 5 weeks. the recent clawing is due to feeding her some of FF's Grow Big once. As for watering I've been letting them getting very dry (3-5 days). I've been reading up Mass Medical Strains' tips and listening to his podcasts, very informative.
They're showing (I think) potassium deficiency but I'm not sure what to feed her without adding too much nitrogen (that's why I tried giving them some FF GrowBig)
Probably gonna veg them a full 8 weeks before flipping to flowering, it's gonna be hard to wait!
I noticed that you didn't get the purple pheno of the Star Pupil. How big were the buds? Large fat kolas or just clusters of bud at roughly a foot or less intervals?
If you can remember. I'm currently growing that strain right now and I've got two purple Phenos and two non purple phenos
watch the "N" with these plants - don't hardly give them much at all and also you can let them get very dry between feeding/watering - mean letting them go for 3-4 days no water
