Hey all! Reminder: MIDDLE PLANT IS GSC #1. BOTTOM LEFT PLANT IS GSC #2. (Bottom right is mystery seed, two in the back are FastBuds Gelato - which you can't even see anymore haha. This diary is only focusing on the GSC plants). Wow. This last week was crazy. Had some MAJOR ISSUES. One morning, GSC #2 was drooping like CRAZY, same with GSC #1 but nowhere near as bad. It looked like GSC #2 was dead. Leaves completely drooped down flat. It was shocking and devastating to see. The weeks prior, I had some nute burn issues so I flushed the plant over 2 days. I thought that would have given it enough water so I left it without a watering for 6/7 days. And wow, I was definitely wrong. The girls were thirsty for more. It was definitely an under-watering issue. This is my first time growing in fabric pots, and many say it's seriously hard to overwater in them, and they were right. The pot breathes extremely well. Lesson learned. I gave them a good feeding of water, and thank GOODNESS they BOUNCED BACK! WOW! What RESILIENT GIRLS! Unfortunately GSC #2 was so thirsty she began killing off some fan leaves that became dry and crispy, so I pruned them off. Defoliated quite a lot of dead fan leaves off, but it seemed to be a good move as more light is now getting through to bud sites, and she's definitely happy right now. Because of the previous nute burn, I am giving very small doses of the nutes, just to make sure she eases back into things. I am starting to see the bud sites swell, and resin production! I am SO EXCITED for the harvest! But I have to remain patient! Hope you are all safe and well! Peace, Love, Health & Happiness :) -TickTockCroc

On my last photo it shows these unusual white marks all over the leaf. This is on the GSC #2 plant. It has been like this on other leaves since a while ago. It looks like white material ON the leaf, but its actually the leaf itself. What's going on here?

So I mentioned these pale colors on my leaves in my last question. (Please see last photo in Week 3). I have made a mistake - after scraping the leaf with my hand, it is definitely something on the leaves! Does it look like mildew? I removed the extractor fan for 1 day.

Hi @TickTockCroc I was looking at your diary and in general the marks on the leaves seem to me to be genetic mutations, nothing to worry about too much. but this picture of your question, those white marks are similar to what spidermites do, check the underside of the leaves if you have no bugs. good luck mate 👍

What are these yellow tips on my leaves from? Have fed it water with organic nutes once to twice a week, the only time it was given pure water was a few days ago. I am using recommended doses. Could this be nute burn?

You need to check the PPM of the runoff. Looks like a little nute burn. I would cut back on the nutes a little till they get bigger. I hardly ever use the full dose. Especially if i add in other nutes. If your ppm runoff is over 1000, would the next time or two.

My leaves are turning rusty/purple and its spreading rapidly. Anyone know what this could be?

Hey tick tock, So anytime i got those rusty splotches it ended up being lack of a calmag supplement or i had a ph problem once that reeked havoc. Since your ph # is good, unless you want to recalibrate just to check, look into a calcium/phosphorus issue. Maybe drop your bio grow and pick up the bio bizz calmag supplement and the problem will probably sort itself out. Unfortunately the damage is usual permanent but you can stop the spread and make it through flowering. You could possibly up the bloom nutrient for a higher phosphorus level since purple is often caused by that...but being in the mix already I'd lean more towards a small calmag dose each week. Happy harvesting. ✌️

@ZAuto, I wouldn't be too worried about the humidity - my last grow I didn't do any humidity control at all, and she came out great! Also, I really recommend the TS-1000. Great choice. My girls seem to be loving that light. Of course, the end results will be the true proof in the pudding, but it definitely is the best light I've used so far. Good luck with your grow!

@TickTockCroc, Thanks, man - I did a bunch of small things today to try improve the situation and did notice that roots seem to be doing a bit better from the things I had tried previously, so hopefully it will pick up again - but even then, there's a part of me that glad I'm learning! Will definitely check out the humidifier, sometimes my tent drops to like 30%, but most of the time it's at a constant 55%... Not ideal for veg, but it's fine for spending no money on that side yet. But those 30% days freak me out a little. Side note - I just noticed you're using the TS-1000, and I had ordered one for myself a little while back. Shipping ground to a holt recently with COVID19 in my country, but hoping it will arrive soon as restrictions are lifting. Very glad we can trade notes! Have a good one 👊

@ZAuto, Thank you! I did manage to sort the humidity issue out, I ended up getting a better humidifier (Amazon Basics brand) that works really well. At this point I don't need the humidifier on that much. I unfortunately though dealt with some major setbacks - one of the GSC plants went super droopy overnight - it looked like it was dead. Same with the other GSC plant but nowhere near as bad. It was shocking. I've understood that to be an underwatering issue (left it for 6/7 days without water which I thought would be OK). They have since bounced back with a good watering, and fed them again with minimum nutes after 2 days since that watering. I had to prune off a lot of fan leaves on the GSC that got hit bad, as they dried up and died, but I think think that plant is now happy without them. Bud sites are starting to swell. Will post update pics tomorrow. As for light getting in your buckets, that might be an issue, as I did a cup grow in a transparent plastic cup and it did NOT like the light hitting the roots. Hope you're able to get them sorted!

@Fast_Buds, Of course!! I love your strains. I did your Girl Scout Cookies last year and was really impressed with the medicinal effects, even considering my very high tolerance. So, here we go again! Also will be doing your Gelato, just waiting for those seeds to arrive (delays with my local mail system due to the current world situation! Yikes! But have these Girl Scout Cookies in the meantime!). I will give you a message if I need any assistance, gave them their first feeding yesterday and they are LOVING it! Hope all of you at FastBuds are safe and well in this current situation. Peace, Love, Good Health & Happiness ┏(^0^)┛ -TickTockCroc

Do you still need to ph if your using biobizz products and their soil? I’ve read you didn’t need to? 😦

@Papaluke, hey, i'll help you. If you a dealing with LIVING SOIL, a soil full of organic matter, or with a bit of it, and lots of microorganisms, they will act as buffer and balance the soil when you water out of the range. Your only concern is to use water without chlorine, so you don't kill them, and to take care not to over do with nutes. A living soil is the answer to a complete and easy growing.
