I have no idea how this is gonna turn out until I run some tests in a few weeks but the one plant I had of this variety looked OK. This is an almost pure CBD plant with a theoretical ratio of CBD:THC of 20:1. I also have two tester plants of the same variety but purple which is called FB37. She's pretty sticky.
This plant came out pretty nice but it's my first foray into pretty much pure CBD plants. I've only experimented with CBD in ratios of the 1:1 variety CBD:THC... and I grew a couple of those this spring for comparison. I'm procuring some test equipment from tCheck so I can measure what actually came out the other end of this whole process. The overall plan is to be able to make some CBD stuff on my own and be able to give it to friends.
No plans to taste this very soon - every time I try something like that it just reminds me what harshness can taste like. The indica/sativa slider also has no use in a CBD diary.
I'll be back to update after trimming and whatnot.
June 22 >> So I ended up with 25 grams of buds and 20 grams of trim, which is a testament to the quality of the buds, but I was also trying to save as much of this as I can because it's a pure medicine experiment. Test equipment is still in da mail.
Hi i'm not crazy there really is a purple cbd 20: 1 pheno right? I saw a photo on the Internet, but not anymore. None of my last 4 was purple. Now I have 6 pieces and I'm curious if I can also find the purple pheno.
@Bud_Spencer, Hey there... you are correct... there IS a purple 20:1 CBD variety. In my case it's technically identified as FastBuds Tester #37. Both of those are now outside and the younger one is showing more purple than the older one... at least on TOP of the leaves. I have an indoor & outdoor version of tester #36... which is identified as a 2:1 CBD:THC pheno -> those babies are a bit weird - the indoor version is my largest plant - the outdoor version is my smallest plant - and she shows a bit of purple herself - except on the BOTTOM of the leaf. Something weird maybe going on in CBD farmland. 😳
@Fast_Buds, Hey now... I guess I should ask a question about your 20:1 CBD varietals, or CBD in general... of which I'm growing a few different ones in this diary. When looking at trichomes on these plants - should I be thinking the same as a non-CBD plant? That is... the sequence of clear to cloudy to amber colored trichomes? Not exactly sure when I should be pulling the plug on these 20:1 girls.
