Gelato #33 - Advanced Seeds

Mr_Motalovah Gelato #33 Characteristics Genetics: Sunset Sherbert X G.S.C Thin Mints Harvest indoor: 55 - 60 days Height indoor: 90 -120cm Indica/Sativa: 40% - 60% Smoked this strain before and loved it but I've never grown it before. First time growing Advanced Seeds as well. Friend of mine germinated them but didn't have enough space so I took them off his hands. I didn't have the tent ready when I got them so they were by the window and ended up stretching a bit. Other than that they're looking good.

Mr_Motalovah This week they're in the tent and wow! As soon as they got placed in a comfortable environment with plenty of light, they started showing off. 😎 End of this week I'll be transplanting them into 11L fabric pots. Very happy with theses two ladies. 😍 Can't wait for flower 😋

Mr_Motalovah This week I had a big problem with my lights. 😭 I had 600w HPS running and first day of the week they blew on me, luckily nothing bad happened to the girls. 😰 Glad there wasn't a fire or anything worse. Given the high risk with HPS lights I decided to go with LED from now on. I went with EasyGrow 800 V2 seems pretty good for my size tent, waiting for them to arrive. While I'm waiting for the new lights I have a 150W CFL lighting going to not disrupt the light schedule and keep the girls going. 👍 They're not growing up as fast as they would but that's normal with the 150W light they're sharing. Good thing is that I can use this week to strengthen up the roots. 💪 Given the light problem, the gelato sisters haven't grown in height so much but theres a noticeable difference in width. They've got nice color and great root system!! 😍 I'm watering them everyday because they're drinking a lot! Normally with this size I would already transplant but I'll wait until the new lights arrive. Just to make sure they get to a great start after the transplant. Can't wait for the new lights to arrive and see these babies grow! 👆 Happy Growing! 😃👊

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 This week I got word from my lights, and they're going to take 2 more weeks... 😭 It sucks becase i'm going to have to push veg for 2 more weeks at least... I'll most likely be training them in the mean time. So when the lights arrive i'll give them a couple more weeks to get stronger and then to bloom.. This week they stretched a bit more, can't say much more.. 😕 I'll do the transplant next week. Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

I'll be topping and mainlining this on next week. The other one is doing good but hasn't responded greatly and is a bit droopy, also got a little nutrient burn. So I lowered amount of nutrients and water on this one to 700ml. Can't really add anything else, content with how things are going. 😀 Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Finally decided to start training them, a bit late for my taste but wasn't too sure on doing it because of the 150w CFL light I've got in.. Luckly they responded nicely to the LST.. 24 hours after cutting and bending they we're already looking upwards. 🙌 👆 One is trailing behind the other but she's doing good. Original I was going to LST one and mainline one, but to be honest I simple chickened out. They are too advanced and would of had to wait another 5-6 weeks of veg to before flipping to flower.. Over all they're looking great and healthy. Got the email that my lights have been sent and will arrive this week.. 😄😄 Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

Did a bit more training on the bigger one, spreading out the canopy nicely. Happy with the training done and loving the canopy so far. Ladies are absolutely in love with them and they're showing it in their growth. There's a bunch a new growth and the canopy is starting to take shape. Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Good progress this week. One is falling behind, not spreading out the canopy as much as I'd like.. but is very healthy and plenty of growth sites.. The other one has a good canopy and lots of colas forming.. 😁 The lights are really doing their job, very happy with the results so far. Stay tuned to see how these two gelatos grow!

Tallest stems have only grown 3cm but the rest of the canopy has caught up in growth and there a more even canopy now. They're both looking good, one has a better structure than the other from beginning.. Next week will be their last in veg, so they still have some time to grow a bit more. It's good thing for now but they're trailing behind the other ladies. They're nice and bushy, showing good signs of healthy plant. Last week in veg, then a defoliation and switch to 12/12. Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 There has been much change this week!! First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plants. All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low. Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more light penetration. Then finally switched to 12/12.. After just 36 hours after the defoliation there wasn't much change Some new growth..the colas are stacking nicely which is good. Hope they stretch some more still.. I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again. I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now. I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients. That's it for this week. Stay tuned to see how they flower. Stay safe!

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 As you can see these ladies are growing nicely. They're both at the same height 59cm but one is wider than the other. Quite nice so far. That's 12cm in one week same as the Royal Gorilla. Evenly spread canopy, the one that had better shape from the start now has longer colas. Both are stacking nodes nice and tight. They have a nice green color to them but you can't really appreciate that in the pictures. I'm still trying to get a hand of this new phone, I might just go back to the camera. 🤔 Starting to get a little shine to them, I think this strain will be the first in forming trichomes. They give off a nice smell but I can't put my finger on it yet. Feeding 1,5L each, every other day. Will be increasing as they ask for more. How do they ask for more? When feeding if the soil is drier than normal I give a 150-200ml increment of water. I do that until they stop feeding so much then i just maintain that amount. I start reducing if it takes longer to dry. That works good for me. The old finger in the dirt trick. 👍 Nothing like knowing exactly what your ladies need first hand. **Info and pictures were taken at day 12 of flower.** Hope you enjoyed this week's update. These pictures were taken on day 20 of flower Nice progress with these ladies, I honestly did expect them to stretch this much. They were pretty heavy on leaves so I did a bit of cleaning of big fan leaves and bottom useless growth.. I admit, went a bit too far with one of them. Should've left a few more fan leaves behind.. 😪😓 Other than that, things are looking good. Bud sites are more visible, sure hope they keep growing out. Stopped adding grow nutrients, only bloom now. Mr_Motalovah Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Are you seeing what I'm seeing? HUGE difference from last week, buds are really filling in and taking shape. Already nice and hard. Trichomes are starting to coat the fan leaves, this one is going to be frosty!! 😍 I'll have to take a look at my dehumidifies, RH is climbing to 55% at moments and in these final week I don't want them to go over 45-50% Wish you were smelling what I'm smelling though!! 😍😍 MY OH MY!!!! The smell is aaaamazing!! They're giving my beloved Cream Caramel a run for best aroma in the tent but that Cream Caramel is tooo sweet! 😋 While they're both doing great, the one I defoliated just a little too much doesn't have as big buds.. That shows you, when defoliating it's best to leave some behind for later because once you cut those leaves you can't place them back. Some decisions you just have to live with. Real life lessons when you grow, that is if you're paying attention. 😉 I'll be adding an organic PK booster next week to give that extra boom in bloom. 👊💪 Pictures were taken on day 27 of flower. PK booster it starting to show signs. Pictures were taken on day 35 of flower. No signs of stress, deficiencies or toxicities. Always a good sign. Mr_Motalovah Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 We'll got progress going! Pictures taken on day 42 of flower. The smell is something that i'm loving. Although one smells stonger and sweeter than the other, they both are smelling great. I had my doubts about the nugs not being big or hard but it seems like the green sensation is doing it's job. There's been a good progress since i've started using Green Sensation. Glad to see that. In flower I feed with only water and 2ml/L of enzymes. Once about 10 days. Resin prodcution has gone up, buds are denser and a bit bigger. Which is good given that most of the pistils are still white and they fatten up more when they rippen. As long as things keep a stable progress, i think i'm good.

Mr_Motalovah Easy strain to grow, big spacing between nodes too big for my taste.. For growing info... I harvested on day 68 of flower. I didn't wet weight.. Hung them to dry for 14 days at 18C and 60% RH.. After drying I trimmed them, SAVE THE TRIM!* Break down on dry weight per plant.. Gelato 33 #1: 54g, #2: 45g. After that I placed them in mason jars to cure at 62%RH, burping them daily.. After a month them thangs was ready! *With the trim I made some bubble hash. Tasty stuff. More grower info for the curious minds. 120cmx120cm tent, 320W LED.. Between all the strains I had in the tent I got a total of 504 grams. That's 1,57g/W. or 63g/plant.. Hope you enjoyed the diary.
