I just harvested plant #2 (out of 2) and it really couldn't have been easier. I grew it in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil, did some LST and light pruning and gave about gave about half the suggested nutrients every other watering after it started flowering. Easy grow for beginners

Reviews. Nutrient
I used Fox Farms Ocean Forest and didn't add any nutrients (at half of the suggested amount) until flowering started in the 4th week. The plants seemed to take them well though I did get greedy and added too much one week - plant #1 got burned and not sure if it completely recovered. I stopped giving #1 nutrients for the last 5 weeks of flowering.

No complaints here! Great light

76 grams of dry bud off of just one plant! The bud needs to cure but the smoke wasn't bad at all. I only harvested plant #2 - it's been about two weeks since and plant #1's pistils are still white and stretching and I haven't spotted any amber trichomes. They're supposed to be the exact same strain so I'm not sure what's the difference.

The tent is in my garage so the humidity in my tent is all over the place. Should I be concerned?

I'm not going to start adding nutrients for 3 weeks but should figure out what and buy them now. Any recommendations?

I also got the blurple lights from my friend. To keep the temperature down I haven't installed them yet and not sure if I will. Will they make a difference if I add them next to the current LED? If so should I wait until the flowering stage or anything like that?

Use all the light you can, then figure out temp. Leds are pretty cool, if you vent the tent you should be fine, worth it for the extra light.

I added two blurple lights - I'm not sure how much they're helping growth but they are definitely making the tent hotter - about 5 degrees F. I have a fan blowing at the bottom of the tent and at top over the lights but I'm worried that it might be too hot. Should I ditch them?

Hey Growmie, 79°F is fine, most professional growers actually say 78°F is optimal for a grow tent. In the summer I can run in the lower 80's and never have an issue with heat. So no that's not too hot. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

I have a few leaves with some spots and a few that have a side that curls. What do you guys think? Right now I'm just using Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and water - I'm planning on adding nutrients this week. Will that solve these issues?

Sometimes leaves just pop out wanky, leaves look a little dark. Ifmyou have fed her then I would just give water for a couple of more waterings. Cheers friend

Should I stop adding nutrients and just give the plants plain water now? I'm in Week 8 and many of the FastBuds Pineapple Express Auto grows I've seen harvest around week 10. Would switching to just water be a sufficient flush?

Don't flush. It doesnt do anything but starve your plants.

Should I cut off these small branches (growing horizontally to the left) with bud growing on them? Would pruning small branches be detrimental to the plant this late into growth? Are these small branches pulling that much energy/nutrients that could go to the main buds instead?

I doubt cutting them will give you much benefit at this point. Tie them up to the main stem so they get light. If they get dense enough you can smoke them, otherwise they are good for hash.

These leaves (about halfway up on #1) turned yellow with brown spots overnight. I didn't check the soil before giving it nutrients two nights ago so I was wondering if it has to do with overfeeding. The soil is damp and kinda packed together. Any idea what's going on?

Judging by the amount of nutes you are giving, the fact that I see no pH or EC / PPM info, I would think you have a mild case nute burn. Since you are already past 8 weeks, I would stop all feeding and give it plain water and let the plant consume what's left on the soil.

I just started drying. Should I have trimmed off the small fan leaves before hanging? Does it make a difference?

It’s all preference imo... it’s easier to leave them on and just pull them off once dried, rather than cutting each one off. I take the time and get the larger one’s off, but you’ll be fine either way!

I believe you're a tad ahead of your plant. I usually see 8 or 9 weeks flowering time for my Pineapple Express grows, not 10 weeks total from planting. Your photos show me a great looking plant, but not one a week from harvest. Definitely not time to be concerned about flushing yet. Good luck; you're doing great so far!

@jamjam887766, Yes, depending on how strong the nutrient adds have been, I make sure the last two or three watering cycles are water only, no nutrients. I always cut off a small fan leaf near the middle of the plant and taste the sap BEFORE I start to flush, then repeat with another leaf from the same area AFTER flushing. If you've been feeding heavily you should be able to detect slight bitterness from the first leaf stem, but no bitterness from the second "taste test". You'll be fine. Take Care.

@jamjam887766, That's it. The idea is to wash out any residual fertilizer chemicals. Usually 2 or 3 waterings does the trick. I break off a fan leaf before the flush to check the taste, then another after to make sure I don't taste any chemicals.

@AuldKelt, what do you do for flushing? Just water like normal but without nutrients during the last week?
