Threw the seeds in to water, after a day started breaking through, waited an other day just to be sure.
My day count on the pictures start from when i have put them in soil. WW2 was a bit slow to start off with but getting there by the end of the week.
Day 9 on the pictures, all is well apart from the light. Recommendation from light manufacturer was 60cm although i have dimmed it to 50% and that wasnt enough as the Royal Gorilla stretched and fallen over when the light was off. There was place for more soil luckily in the pot so i have supported the stem and have recovered since.
Humidity was very low first week and my humidifier has arrived this week although still a bit low.
Temperature are a bit high at 28C during the day but so far they do not mind at all. Will be getting a little air conditioner next week to lower temperature to around 25C.
So I had a stressful week being a noob which came with some set backs. I have used westland new horizon soil which was good to start off with and proved to be a good choice although it had no perlite in it which i should have added for a better flow of oxygen and drainage. I have therefore managed to over water my plants causing the leaves to drop as you can see at day 17.
Luckily had a few very helpful people here who guided me through and advised me to give them some nitrogen (Fox farm Grow big) and than i have decresed the amount of water i was giving them.
At day 20 I have transplanted 1 Royal gorilla in to an Air pot and the White widow in to a fab pot. I believe that was a good idea to do so as the root was already getting spanned around the bottom of the pot which could have been one of the reason also for the grow to be stunned. After transplanting i have given them plenty of water with half a strength from recommended plant food (Big Bloom) which they have responded very well. I have ordered an other fab pot and will be transplanting ww2 this week as well.
I believe this is a learning curve and we all learn from our mistakes.
Very interesting week and luckily a great recovery after the transplant. I have also transplanted WW2 at the end of this week as well. WW2 has significantly stunned in growth and i am still waiting to recover now but i have high hopes for her. I have also encountered an other issue, I have been reading and researching and I have realized as i have been taking out the calcium and magnesium out of the water as i have been using 2/3 of filtered water and 13 of normal tap water. Apparently the soft water lacks these nutrients so I have purchased since a cal mag (Biobizz) addictive. Since than the plant has been better at observing water and the red stems are dissappearing slowly. I have also done topping on WW1 and RG also LST on RG. Have only done it a few days ago and have been responding pretty well.1
This week I have fed the girls with nutrients twice and are still using half the recommended dose apart from Grow Big as they were lacking of potassium and nitrogen by my thinking. They have been responding very well to more nut. Also the red stems are disappearing the leaves are getting stronger and bigger, I have been feeding them cal/mg with every watering. At the beginning of the week I have been giving them 0.5l of water each due to the hot weather but it felt moist the next day so was watering every second day, at the end of the week I have started giving them 0.3 daily and seemed to be absorbing better. Royal Gorilla seems to be stretching higher than the White Widows but that is totally normal. WW2 is starting to make progress and started growing with a good pace.
The ladies are growing nicely.
I have done a really stupid thing as on the Royal Gorilla I have been trying to bend the top 2 stems as they were getting much higher as the other 2 but unfortunately i have managed to break one side off. Obviously it was too late to try to do such a thing because the stems were already to stiff.. I think I have managed to save it though, just taped it together and given a little support from the other main stem on the top. Will give further update on it next week when i remove the sellotape.
I will have an other 2 week of veg and than I will make them start to flower.
I might increase the nutrient dose as I have yellow weak leaves on the bottom with red stems. First I will only increase Cal/Mag and see if that works if not might have to research and ask what could be the issue. Still learning.
Missed out a few week due to lots going on in my life but was looking after the little ladies still like my own child. They were growing nicely and at week 9 I have started the flowering phase with 36hours of darkness than with adding tiger bloom to the feeding. Second week they are in to the flowering phase and growing nicely and the flowers are starting to appear on a lot of places. I have some issues with leaves turning yellow than falling off which im going to raise with the professional here and hopefully will come to a solution. I do have a feeling they are lacking one of the nutrients but we shall see. Will be updating on that next week. Pictures were taken when light was off so they were sleeping and that is the reason the leaves are folded.
This is the week when the buds all started to form nicely although I had issues which by the very helpful community here was solved, I have had to increase the nitrogen for all my girls as the leaves were turning yellow. This has been resolved by the end of the week and seen no new signs. The royal gorilla has started to shoot up very much which I need to raise as a question.
Great improvements this week in the flowering stage this week, the buds are starting to fatten nicely. The tiger bloom has decreased the PH drastically and the only way i was able to manage that was with filtered water as it has lower PH value. This week I have ordered PH+ and PH- and therefore I have managed to give bigger dose and all i can say they loved it. I still have issues with Royal gorilla as it is growing in height to much and growing out my tent which is starting to be an issue. I am going to raise the question with the community and hopefully come to a resolution.
What a week, came with a lot of stress from my side and probably from one of my babies as I had to do my first High stress straining with the royal gorilla. The reason for that was as I have mentioned in the previous weeks diary was that it has shoot up too high and was touching the light already and did not wanted to lift it higher and take the light away from the other 2 girls. HST went well I think and she is still recovering. Will update on that next week.
I have also done so pruning to create a better airflow and so that they can focus there energy more on the tops where the lovely buds are forming.
Getting excited as the buds are getting fatter and the smell is getting stronger. I have bought a decent humidifier where I have set the humidity to 50% and it looks like the girls are loving it. I have also decreased grow big nutrient to half and will be giving it to them for an other week than I will start to flush it.
16th Week done, and it was the last week where I have given them Nutrients, I will start flushing it from tomorrow and will be giving them only ph optimized water.
I have also done some defoliation on the girls this week to get some more space for air and light for those buds to grow.
So at the beginning of the week I have had to do some more defoliation to make sure those buds get more light in and to help in the air ventilation.
First week of flushing is done, I have only given the girls since than ph optimized water all week, they seemed to be less thirsty at the beginning of the week only taking about 700ml each but than by the end of the week they all wanted a little more but still only gave them about 1 liter as the soil was still not that dry.
Planning to harvest within a week or so maybe a few extra days I will let them to grow, we shall see how the buds are going to be forming.
To be honest this was my first ever grow, had a few hiccups but nothing that couldn't be solved with the help of the experts from this site. Royal Gorilla grew a little higher than I have expected so i had to do HST on her but apart from that she bloomed nicely all over her growing period. Smoking it was awesome, very strong head high around 25% THC they say, although it was still nice and smooth.
First ever grow and I have very much enjoyed it, they were my babies for 6 months and they needed looking after but than they have appreciated it as it turned to be beautiful experience and a great end product. Will be growing this strain again although will go for auto to speed up the process. I would recommend for any one for there first grow as it was easy to grow and handled stress really well.
@Ferenc, lol elarult a neved.
Itt is ott is! 😁
Néztem a naplodat, azt kell hogy mondjam igen csak szép munkát végzel. Ha van kérdésem tudnál majd nekem segíteni?
Előre is köszönöm
@Xspellsx, thanks man, yeah they are beautiful and smell that too, comparing to the widows anyway which has a much weaker smell. Also they grow higher but that could be probably managed with training which I should have done a lot more on them. This is my first ever grow so we live and learn! ;)
Hey laz are these the same plants for the question? Does your soil have any aeration material? Pumice/perlite/vermiculite? Those white looking sand rocks that break up the soil from staying too muddy. If not maybe buy some and gently till it in or when you transplant add 1/3 aeration.
@Experimentgreen,
Hello my friend, yes they are, and no it hasn't although I have bought canna terra professional soil which should have perlite in it also. I was going to transplant them this week but didn't wanted to put them through more stress before they recover.
As you have advised in my question do you think I should give them grow big will that help in the recovery and than transplant them or should I add perlite to this soil?
Thanks for your help
