Welcome! If you're just joining us, we're beginning Week 5 of flowering with a NL Auto(?). I had to switch Audrey to 12-12 to trigger flower, so who knows if this is actually an auto. She's trucking along well, no nute problems or pH problems, weather is stable, and she's healthy as can be! I did a very slight flush at the end of last week and got her root pH, which was 6.2. Perfect! She's stopped growing vertically and is building her buds out and beginning to get real frosty on the top sites. I'm guessing I have 3-5 weeks left. This week and next week will determine when I do a final flush.
Couple things I've been doing: I'm defoliating fan leaves that block bud sites at a rate of 3-5 leaves a day. Hasn't affected her at all. Also stepped up the molasses to get more K in there, and that's really done the trick. She's actually reacting well to more nutes rather than less, which is surprising for marijuana. I don't want to pressure it, but if I had two plants I'd experiment more with nutes. Her root ball is also at the surface now and she could suck down 3L every 48 hours if I let her (currently sticking with 2L to keep her dry cycles up), so if you end up growing NL Auto I'd suggest a 5 gallon bucket for the biggest yield. As it stands, I'd love to get 2-4oz out of her. This batch is going into tinctures, which I'll document as well for people interested.
I'll update as usual throughout the week! Make sure to check back, these next two weeks should see some fattening buds. Good luck with your grows! For Rock and Stone.
Day 74: Not much to report! Photos aren't showing it well, but she's slowing fattening up. Trichomes are making her real frosty. If she continues on that route, she's going to be a real frosty girl. Humidity has been a problem, as temperatures have dropped here and she's hovering at 40% as long as I keep the room closed. Catching new pistils turning brown now, so she's on track to harvest. I'd say no more than 2-3% of pistils have browned, so it'll be a while. Although it's a couple weeks away, I'm considering how I'll accomplish a flush. She's pushing against the tent walls, so if I try to pull her out I'll be disturbing the buds a lot. Will have to get creative on that one.
From what I can see it's a healthy mix of Cloudy and Clear. Look for 30% amber for a harvest sweet spot on your plant.
Always look to the buds and not sugar leafs when checking! 🤘😤
Hello!
what a nice looking plant you got there, great job!
Soon you'll be able to enjoy the puffs of this delicious strain ehehe
I'm actually writing and tasting it, as I just harvested mine a few weeks ago eheh
Good luck with the remaining time, happy grow
@TheGourmetWeed, I have an end date I have to keep to due to company, but I intend to run her as long as I can! NL Autos can take a while; some people on Grow Diaries ran theirs 18-24 weeks!
@4RockandStone, thank you for the kind words :D
If you followed my diary, then I really give you a good piece of advice. Let it be a couple more weeks than I did.
I regret now harvesting so soon as the effects could be stronger.
@TheGourmetWeed, thanks man! I've been looking at your diary the past few weeks to gauge what to expect with this NL Auto. Hope it turns out as well as yours!
