This strain smokes wonderfully. Happy I wet trimmed and took care of the sugar leaves because it is so smooth / absolutely no harshness whatsoever. It is very difficult to characterize the taste but the BB Autoflower base doesn't seem to have come through. The effects are exactly what I was looking for in a Hybrid Indica - very chill, no crazy paranoia or getting in my head or couch lock or anything like that. Makes everything a little brighter and a little more interesting. Very happy with this strain!

I was happy with all the nutrients I used, although not sure I used the Liquid Koolboom to its full effect - next time I will do better!
Reviews. Lamp
No complains, so far the Mars Hydro stuff is working well.

The trimming took way longer than I thought - I ended up wet trimming and then using a drying rack which took about 3 days and probably dried too fast, so I may not do that again. I am doing the curing the recommended way, a few weeks with the 62% Boveda packets in mason jars....so hopefully that will make up for any sins w/ the fast drying. I did use a Humidifier for those 3 days, at least! I ended up with 1.8 oz in the end which is not great, but as this was my first time ever I am still happy the plants made it to maturity because many beginners don't even get there. Still, 1.8 oz of cannabis is quite a bit and so I have no major regrets. I will smoke this strain when it is cured and if it is good I may try it again with the single plant in this tent where I can trim more effectively and engage in LST for real, etc.

Grow Questions

Is there some kind of defoliation I should be doing, and if yes what specifically do you recommend? Or should I just let it ride? Things are getting pretty tight in the tent... although I expect most growth will be vertical going forward.

Since the plants already started flowering then only do a light defoliation of small leaves at the bottom and small growth shoots so the growth will focus on the main buds. From there don't touch the leaves!! as they say Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the plant, leaves provide important nutrients for the flowers! (Tuck big fan leaves under bud sites to increase light exposure). Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

Coming along nicely man 🌱 Don't take the breeders estimate for finish time to heart they always take a best case scenario and in the real world it's usually at least a few weeks longer ✌️

Are those cookies supposed to be that bushy? 👽
CheefDunnoNothin
CheefDunnoNothincommented4 years ago
@@dreambomber, I don't think they are supposed to be that bushy and should probably be defoliated to maximize yield but since it is my first time I did very, very little defoliation. Also because I have space issues I figured more leaves would maximize light absorption since the plants aren't able to go as wide as they would naturally. I have some more seeds and will probably do colorado cookies again (except just one plant instead of two) and will be a little more aggressive on the defoliation next time around.
