Sooo I bit the bullet and gave into the hype. After missing a few of their extremely limited releases i decided to jump on these seeds (like my life depended on it🤔) as soon as I was notified of there availability. Good marketing strategy, hopefully they live up to expectations. I'm certain they will after reading some of the other diaries on here. This release is at the f7 stage of breeding so I'm hoping for a mostly stable variety and close to consistent result. I'm sure it will all be good in the end anyway but I am hoping for at least one purple plant and also one that has the elusive grape scent as well. They were kind enough to give me 5 seeds when i thought i was only getting three which is a great bonus and I'm sure i will find what I'm looking for in them. I also received 2 freebie bonus seeds on top of those, but they will have to wait for the next run. I am only going to run three because that's really as much time as I can afford for garden maintenance. I am following the method of germination they suggest which is just a damp paper towel inside a DVD case and kept in a warm location. I'm sure they will do just fine.

Does anyone out there have experience with, and/or had success or failure using bloom boosters? I want to give my plants the kick they need to produce a denser bud, but with the numbers on these boosters how does it not cause lockout or toxicity?

I have about a year experience with powdered nutrients used in high concentrations and yes it can work very well. Though you have to be very careful where you use it and what you use it with. Most of these products are to be used in water alone and not mixed with other nutrients like your base b feed. as the previous grower has state this will more than likely cause toxicity. If you had started the cycle using liquid nutrients I would advise just following the feeding table that your current nutes provide. If you think you need more PK then I'm sure you can increase the volume of base b you are using. These "shooting powders" are highly concentrate leaving very little room for error. at a glace the NPK rating is worrying yes plants dont need alot of nitrogen in the flower cycle but they do still need a fair amount this is why you use both a and b formulas with most nutrients. I can see this has a use maybe in the last week if you have a large plant any earlier than that I would think you would be in trouble. Though I could be wrong this is all just my experience. My ultimate advise would be save your cash and up you b feed. least with the feed tables you have some sort of guidance to go by :) best of luck for the grow and if you need any powdered nutrient recommendations hit me a pm it is much cheaper than playing the brand game and so much more control. in basics all companies claim to have the best formula to grow cannabis. if you think about it all you are paying for is the same chemicals in different proportions these being NPK why not have the exact chemicals and mix your own so you can make sure you are giving your ladies exactly what they need :)

They broke soil at around 4 days from hitting the wet paper towel and about 48 hours from going into the soil. I'm excited to see the vigour they express. Day 7: they seem to be happy and healthy so far.

Anyone familiar with using the lux light measurements with full spectrum leds? I've got the free app on my phone and read some online guides but any advice or shared experiences would be helpful.

I can help you buddy. It's a little technical so I broke it down in steps. You can do Step 1 only if you want, but if you want more accuracy you can move onto step 2 & 3 also. 1. Use this calculator to calculate your PPFD: https://www.waveformlighting.com/horticulture/convert-lux-to-ppfd-online-calculator - Just select the light type and then input your average LUX readings at canopy. It'll tell you roughly what your PAR/PPFD is. 2. If you want to go a step further in accuracy, you can calculate your Daily Light Integral (DLI) here: https://www.waveformlighting.com/horticulture/daily-light-integral-dli-calculator. -I believe a DLI of between 40-55 is optimal depending on your other inputs (Temps/Humidity/Co2). I think Dr. Bruce Bugbee runs at about the same range (sorry, I don't have a reference for that one) (**DLI is the most important light measurement. If you think of it this way, light is the plants main food, and the plant eats little light photons all day, and just like humans, it can only eat so much a day. The DLI is the exact amount of light photons your plant eats each day. So you want to feed the plant as much light Photons as possible without overfeeding and making it sick.**) I hope this helps and I hope I simplified it as much as possible, if you want me to elaborate or clarify anything, please ask.

Day 9: moved the lights a little closer yesterday and they seem pretty happy about it so far. Day 12: looking good still however I've noticed the one plant is lagging behind a little. Day 14: end of the second week and not complications so far. They seem healthy the stems are even getting a thicker already. I'm expecting these to really take off over the next week or so and hopefully the smaller one doesn't fall to far behind.

Day 15: dropped the lights a little closer today. They are doing well and I am expecting them to really take off any day now. I may start with lst on some this week but they are all at slightly different stages right now so I'll just judge it as I go. Day 16: well so much for that plan. Just went for it and did the lst. I suppose I'm a little impulsive🤪. They seem to be a pretty squat plant but the stem is already getting pretty thick and I didnt want to risk snapping it further on down the road. I've seen other growers top at this point and be successful still so I know the will be ok. I do think it will be tricky though with such a short plant. Day 19: I keep feeling like these plants aren't growing very fast and then I see the pictures in sequence and realize they are doing great. Gotta love how quick autos can be.

Day 22: first pistils today. Just on one plant so far. These plants are very healthy, however, their squat stature and massive fan leaves are proving difficult for the lst technique but I know they will start stretching out soon which will make it easier. I feel I had to start early as the stems are already dense, tough and woody. Day 23: I can start to get a little more aggressive with the lst now. Branches are starting to reach out from the bottom and they are nearly reaching the canopy now. Day 25: hardcore bondage coming into force. All the branches are thickening at an astonishing rate.

The mephisto website recommends this variety for sog and I can see why. Lst is difficult and risky with such thick branches. I'm on that path and I'm sticking with it now so we'll see how it works out. They are pretty low maintenance otherwise, I could see a tent full of these without to much trouble. Day 30: more defoliation and lst. Day 33: they are finally stretching out a bit, what a relief. Also shaving the legs as I go, some leaves will stay underneath but I'm snipping new little branches as i see them, they'll just end up Larfy anyway.

Buds are just starting to form and should be opening up in the next day or two Day 36: noticed what might be a little nute burn on one plant. Could possibly be light burn. Not terrible, just noted to watch. Top dressed in some soil amendments and dropped the liquid fertilizer ec on all plants. Mostly for the idea it might boost the flavors. Maybe it will, maybe not, but it's worth a try.

All three plants are starting to show variations. The one plant on the left is stretching like crazy while the others are not. The one on the right is furthest along for bud development still while the others are just starting to show their buds. Dialed back the nutrients a bit since they seem to have a slight nute burn happening. Day 45: thinking maybe a bit of nute lockout. Flushed thoroughly to bring ec down from 2.1 to 1.0 Day 46: already seeing improvement from the flush. Stretching continues.

They are recovering nicely from the lockout. Did a little defoliation as they were getting a little bushy. Upward growth seems to have slowed and hopefully now it's just time for the buds to fatten up.

Just a few more weeks to go now. Buds are gradually thickening and the smell is pretty strong now. Mostly a skunk smell but with some fruit undertones.

Looks like one of the plants should be ready around day 70 like mephisto states for this variety. The other two probably won't be to far behind either.

Harvest was completed after 81 days at 20 hours of light each day. All three plants yielded roughly the same amount within just a few grams of each other (even the leafy one and the one that I snapped the top off while doing lst) The leafy plant had stretched to almost twice the height of the other two. It had more bud sites that were spaced well apart and while the tops are of almost passible density the rest of the lower buds are larf. Again, not sure if this was a nutritional issue or genetic. This plant produced 37 grams which will likely be either cooked or turned into bubble hash even though it doesn't have great trichomes. The one that I accidently topped at week five grew six solid colas about 6 inches long. This one produced fairly solid buds of a very good size and potency. This one still produced 36 grams even without the top although the smell is different and less pungent than the other good plant. The winner of them all survived all the lst despite her incredibly tough, short branches. The main cola of this plant got really thick and had six more satellite branches that were also quite dense. This one is incredibley pungent, tasty and potent. This one, while it seemed larger, produced only 38 grams. Just a little more than the one that got topped. I'm not sure if the topping of the plant caused the change in terps but I guess it could be a stress thing, although I'm still very happy with that one anyway. I've learned a few things during this grow as well. Seeing these issues I was having with these plants lead me to do a bit of a deeper dive on researching my medium.
