-Week 4 begins with a couple of images involving the LST I used to fix the L plants, angled stalk. (when fan leaves trimmed I found plant tilted at 45 degrees and aimed 180 degrees in the wrong direction)
-With the nodes being so tightly packed in this Autoflower, the LST was really awkward to get started. Patience and some plastic markers, helped get things sorted and out of the way. The picture makes it look fool-proof. We will see how it progresses.
-An extra couple of days without water is helping to ensure the roots don’t get soaked. Feeding planned for tonight.
- Foliar apps cut back to 2x week until bud sites established... then Foliar applications stop
- watering circles getting bigger and using more. Nutes are climbing.
- So is the footprint of each plant. Stakes will be helpful here shortly to spread these out. Gonna look kaotic for a bit...
- plants are now touching, time to lay-out & commit to the space between the plants.
Feb 12th finds lots of new growth and what may be the first Pistils from the main bud area.
- removing leaves as need be for shadow removal. Pretty tight quarters still up near the top
14th, Foliar application (2 more then that’s it! ie: week 5)
15th a.m. carried-on with some LST now that the branches, are branches.
- TDS 985, w/ Molasses =1120
- mid-week 5, I will start to transition from Veg to flower nutes. You can see activity at the bud sites. Let them squirm for a few more days and give the LST some time to have an impact. More to come
Feb16th
- finished the LST that was available so far. And the plants foot-print is indeed much bigger and will be ready to switch gears and flower anytime it wants.
- defoliated as need be, especially under the growth.
- Ending week 4 on a high note! Buds are forming, things are resisting restraint and want to go vertical.
- transition to flower nutes from Veg, begins Sat.
- AutoFlower & LST; looking forward to the 2nd half and then some.
When planting seeds directly to soil, Is it necessary to re-pot them into medium-sized containers... or does it make any sense to go directly to larger, final pot?
With autos I think it’s best to go straight from your starter pot into your final chosen pot size. Potting up multiple times is better suited to normal photoperiod type plants.
The reason for this is minimal transplant shock slowing growth and not inhibiting its root growth.
Happy growing buddy👍
@Mrs_Larimar, thanks again, I had lost track of How Much assistance I had provided to the plants, until I started pulling Wires & bamboo.
it makes perfect sense to have delayed full ripening a couple of weeks. First auto-grow, I appreciate the words leading to patient actions
@Roberts, fyi in my 40th year of appreciation… and 3rd as a grower. Lol so there is a bit of a database. But its beautiful that there are so many actual resources. questions = answers.
Man, what a beautiful harvest! I am new to all and on my first indoor grow. Autos are something I want to try. I found you by search for Beaver Seeds. I am an outdoor gardener, not cannabis, so I am familiar with seed quality. Beaver seeds genetics appear to be very good. Dude, you make me impatient with my garden. You do a wonderful job my friend! Thank you for the pictures and the detailed explanation and notes. Diaries like yours... help beginners like me. Thanks!
@Wyregrasser, Hey! you just made my day. Thanks for digging around and so happy you found something to chew-on.
This site is great, people will share facts and we all love the same things. I’m still learning daily…
