Hey all welcome back for the first week of veg life. Not a great deal to chat about today, just gave the lady’s there first feed after they were watered back on the 2/2/21 (150mil). They received a 1/4 dose of nutes this afternoon fingers crossed they don’t get any burn. As you can see in the pics the roots have made there way down to the base of the small container in only 11 days from popping the soil!
The lights are still hanging at 18” over the plants, the smaller plants as in the last 2 big buds and the gold leaf’s are still on 30% power level of there light as they are still what I would class a seedling. The bigger plants are now sitting on 70% of there lights power level, I will be keeping a close eye on there tops as this is the first grow with the new Mars hydro SP3000 lights and I really don’t want to fry them.
Myself and the wifey have been talking about what training we won’t to try on these plants there all average sized but big budding plants so it looks like we might be going down the top them at the 3rd true node leave the second node on and shoot up 2 nodes then top again that should give us 8 main colas. It will be a bit of uncle Ben and nebula manifold sort of style. If anyone has any input On a training style they may have used on these strains before feel free to let me know.
Until next week happy growing all 🌲
Cheers lads I’ve moved it outside but can’t chop it up! I’ve been pulling nanas off it twice a day and it’s only been around 7 so far that I’ve found. I guess just keep it away, keep picking them off and keep her for Personel smoke
It doesnt look like the hermies ive seen in the past but id say watch it for a couple more days and see what its doing because it doesnt look like foxtailing or something of that nature either... wonderful work on your training by the way it looks amazing
Man, they look beautifully trained. When you Lolipop how many nodes do you leave at the top of each cola? I'm pretty trash at defoliation and I feel like my weights would drastically improve if i understood how much others are shaving off haha. looks clean AF
@Nugs_are_us, Hey thanks man. It's so hard getting a consensus on bud sites getting light exposure. I see half say the leaves are the panels duh and the other half stress the importance of cleaning up so that energy gets redirected to the bud sites. I feel like naturally I have not done the later yet to increase yields so I need to bust out the trimmers more lol. Good luck
@FlynnRyder, I try for the bottom 1/3rd of the plant when I do my defoliation. I try to leave at least 3-5 nodes on there as some of the bottom buds will grow to fill in the middle of the plants
@exclusiveX420, 8x4 bud need a bit more lighting and a longer veg time next run and should be epic. Thanks man I really hope they turn out like I think they will
Niiiice work 👏 can't wait to see there collas! Nice, neat, clean, nice job my friend! I too like organization with my grows. You take pride and it shows! Very impressive 👏
@Polaskis, thank you! They are set up quiet nice atm just hope the 3 different strains don’t go all crazy with different heights. Fingers crossed there is some solid colas about to happen 🤙🏻
@Nugs_are_us, Oh yeah, without a doubt.. it’s worth spending that extra time just to get training on point. I deal with a mildew issues, so that’s vital in that aspect too, otherwise the buds are growing tight and right up against each other which is breeding grounds for mildew in my case
@Ezzjaybruh, we’re heading in to winter over in Australia when summer comes back around I’ll do a 3 month veg they can be raised and topped outside then moved into the tent once there a month old. So much better to have the time to train them and lay them out how you want them hey.
@kansasscott725, there wicked little lst training tools. I got a 100 pack off eBay. Think they called them LST 90 degree trainers. I find I have to hit them with a lighter and straighten them out a little bit but so handy can super crop with out the time set back.
@Polaskis, cheers mate just topped 6 of them going to try a new way to manifold them this time around. Fingers crossed my thinking pays off this grow lol
@BigCough, I’d say all of them big bud is the strongest plant so far then super skunk 1 is also a solid plant and interested to see how the gold leaf go through flower
@Hempy_the_kid, I think next round I’ll veg for a bit longer as there only short plants and might have affected my yields but happy for my first photo plant grow
@@Waylate, thanks bud it means a lot I’ve grown a few runs of autos this is my first run at feminised seeds. Love how easy they are to train and fingers crossed they load up with buds now
@BigCough, hey buddy hope your well! Just did 3 of them into 10 gal pots I’ve never gone that big but was amazed that the 3 gal fab pots had roots all the way to the edge and bottom already. I can tell you one thing the 10 gal pots with wet dirt are bloody heavy hahahahaha. Don’t think the missus will be moving them around to much. I’ve got a 4x8 tent so plenty of room in there, I’d recommend 5 gal min mate. As they say more roots more fruits
@Nugs_are_us, damn.. 10 gallons huh? I'm debating moving mine to 5 gallons or leaving in 3... 5 gallons would fit but with little spa lace between pots for airflow... thoughts?
