**Wednesday 2/10/2021 - Tuesday 2/23/2021** [NOTE: I consolidated a number of weeks I had created in this log because it wasn't cohesive with the grow. I did not want to include the time it took to get the seedling into my DWC system. Also, I'm including the first week in the DWC system so the pictures align with my weekly water changes. Moving forward the pictures on each week were taken at the "end" of that week. This "Germination" phase started on 2/10/2021 - 2/24/2021 a total of 2 weeks (14 days). I'm adding the first week it was in DWC (2/24/2021 - 3/2/2021) to this week as well. A total of 3 weeks (21 days). Based off of these numbers I will try to start in DWC moving forward. What I do currently seems like a waste of time considering I've seen many successful growers here doing that already.] I haven't grown in 7+ years due to life. I had a collection of old seeds so I tried germenating all of them. The only ones that popped were the Liberty Haze. I had 5 seeds and 3 of them popped. I soaked them in water for 24 hours and then moved them to paper towels at ~1900 on 2/13/2021. It took ~ two days for the tap roots to appear. Between late Friday 2/14/2021 to the wee hours of Saturday 2/15/2021 I moved the three seeds to 1" rockwool cubes that I had soaked for 2 hours in the nutrient solution above. the seedlings are under a 150W CFL for 24/0 in a short humidity dome. [Update 2/17/2021] Of the 3x starts, two made it. One is stronger than the other. [Update 2/19/2021] I have been using the same 1Gal mix I made to soak the cubes to also drip feed the cubes with a pipet once a day. I was doing twice a day, but got the feeling I might have been overwatering. [Update 2/22/2021] Plugged in CFL light to timer until ready to transer to DWC. I was going to wait until transfer but the roots haven't popped out the bottom yet. I am hoping the lights being off instead of 24hrs will speed root growth. I'm doing 18/6 On @ 1400 & Off @ 0800 [Update 2/24/2021] My tent specs: ~ 5 x 2 x 7' grow area Poly Panda for reflective material 4" carbon filter and inline exhaust fan 4" passive air intake (I'm already re-thinking this and may change during this grow due to significant negative spiritual pressure) 5Gal Bucket with "Love" (Masaru Emoto for those curious) My ScrOG is more like 4x2'. I re-used this from my old setup (yes I toated it around with me for 7+ years). It used to be 4x3.5' Exhale CO2 bag Setup DWC ~ 2000 Light at ~38" 18 hours 1400 - 0800 Just shy of 4 gallons of water CalMag (5ml/Gal) - 19ml Aqua Flakes A+B (4.5ml/Gal) - 17ml Roots Excelurator (0.5ml/Gal) - ~2ml Multi Zen (3.8ml/Gal) - 15ml Liquid Karma (1tsp/Gal) - 4 tsp Drip Clean (0.4ml/Gal) - 1.5ml 715ppm 5.7ph I'm still not sure what to think about this seedling. It seems to be moving slower than what I remember...and I shouldn't be surprised. If this doesn't work I'll buy some new seeds but really wanted to avoid that if possible for now because I went over budget building this new setup. [Update 2/25/2021] With the PPM riding at 710+ (it has jumped up to 770) I am worried about issues. I am strictly following the House and Garden feeding schedule. I'm using R/O water and adding the CaliMagic and Liquid Karma in addition to the recommended H&G products. This seems significantly higher than what I was expecting. [Update 2/26/2021] - After further research I have determined that I do not need to use CalMag. I was using CalMag at 1 tsp/Gal (as recommended). After dropping the CalMag I'm sitting at 508ppm. Still higher than what I'm used to, but certainly more reasonable for the stage at I'm right now. [Update 2/27/2021] - I don't want to call it too soon but the leaf twist hasn't gotten significantly worse this morning. New growth is looking healthy so far. I have lowered the light from 38" to 26" (using Maxsisun acclimation recommendations).

**Wednesday 2/24/2021 - Tuesday 3/2/2021** I wouldn't quite say things are coming along nicely due to seeing some issues still on the second set of true leaves, but I think it's the remnants of the CaliMagic. I will say I've been lazy with ph this last week and only adjusted once a day in the moring. I will be checking ph twice daily from now on. These pictures were taken during my weekly water change. I'm continuing to follow the the H&G schedule and have upped the Aqua Flakes A+B to 5ml/gal. I have also lowered the light to 22" (for the last 2 days). Otherwise I think I'm still in business. I'm hoping the early issues I'm seeing are going to clear up with the newest growth moving forward.

**Wednesday 3/3/2021 - Tuesday 3/9/2021** I started noticing some dark area's on my roots in a few spots so I went into a research deep dive looking for solutions. One of the big ones was the water temperature. I've had two pretty successful DWC grows back 7+ years ago and I never came across the importance of solution temperature back then. I spent a rediculous amount of time looking into the most affordable method of cooling my solution temperature, and the best I could come up with on short notice is the ice bottle method. I have put my bucket in a water bath in a container. I can drop the ice bottles in the water bath so I am not having to place them directly inside my solution bucket. The water bath itself has brought my temperatures down within acceptable ranges (68* or below). I also bought a cheap digital aquarium probe to more easily monitor the solution temp. (using the ph pen to monitor temp. was way to much of a hassle). So far I've had to use very little ice. Also, I originally used clear aquarium air hoses to my air stones. I was afraid this was causing too much of a light leak so I had some spare black hoses (I used to use them for an old C02 tank setup) that I'm now using for my air stones. Lastly, there is a slim chance that the brownish color I'm seeing on the roots in certain area's is where they are rubbing up on the air hoses. Because I'm using both Roots Excelurator and Liquid Karma, I got a brown film buildup on the air hoses. Maybe that is rubbing off on the roots and causing the discoloration. I think this is the least likely scenario but I do believe could be possible. Better safe than sorry though. These pictures were taken this morning during my weekly water change. I did not up the nuts this week because I'm not really seeing the plant taking in any nuts yet. My ppm has steadily climbed over the last week (not too bad though). I'm leaving the nuts at the same level I did last week. So far, the leaf discoloration is only on the first three sets of leaves: onesies, 3-leaf, and first 5-leaf. All the new growth past the first 2 sets of true leaves is looking healthy. Also, this plant is way stocky/bushy compared to what I'm used to. I think this may be due to the light I'm using. I'm used to using a 8-light T5 ballast. I think I'm getting more lumens and my plant isn't stretching as much as what I've experienced in the past.

Is this root rot? I have fixed my temps in the last 4 days. I am already using H&G Roots Excelurator. Is Hydroguard better or should I use both? I also tried fixing light leaks. Any other suggestions?

You should be using both. As the last person said root accelerate nutrient helping grow roots faster, while hydrogaurd is a beneficial bacteria that will keep your roots healthy during harsher environment. Things like slightly higher res temps.

**Wednesday 3/10/2021 - Tuesday 3/16/2021** This week was kind of a shit show with the root rot and ph problems. However, I think I've got that in check now and the plant overall seems to be doing well. I'd say next week I'm for sure going to FIM, and most likely flip to bloom the following week. Last week I decided not to increase the nuts because of the leaf dmg/root rot issues I'd seen. The plant was really starting to pound down the nuts so I've increased the nuts to the H&G recommended for week 3 of grow (6ml/gal of A+B; everything else stays the same). This thing is quite a shrubbery... [Update 3/11/2021] - Root rot has gotten worse. I purchased Hydroguard and added it to the bucket this morning. I've added a picture of the progressing root rot. Additionally, it seems the old C02 hoses may had intentional tiny holes in them. I noticed less bubble production. I pulled my clear hoses back out and wrapped them in electrical tape and replaced the C02 hoses. There was a significant difference in bubble production. Lastly, the plant is definitely drinking nuts now. I've dropped almost 20ppm. [Update 3/12/2021] - The Hydroguard has worked its magic and within a 24 hour period the roots look significantly better. I'm hoping before my next water change there will be no signs of rot. The plant has maintained a stable PH for over 24 hours now without having to adjust. PPM's are down 35 from where I started. I'm going to pre-mix my full lineup above in a gallon container and use that to top the plant off for the rest of the week since she is drinking now. [Update 3/13/2021] - Added another picture of the roots. Looking better! [Update 3/14/2021] - Yesterday morning I really started to notice more spotting starting to occur on the fan leaves. I figured at this point I've gotten rid of the heat/light/root issues, and she really just started uptaking nuts. This lead me to looking at my ph pen. I've had this pen for probably 8 to 9 years. The majority of that time it sat dry (i.e., not submerged in reference or storage solution). Well, after testing with reference solution it had drifted -0.5, which means I was running my bucket ph ~5.2. I calibrated the pen at the very beginning of this grow so I have tested it for over a month now. I soaked the pen in 7.0 reference solution for over one hour and then calibrated. I repeated with 4.0 reference solution. When I ph'd my bucket it was sitting at 5.3ph. I will be calibrating this pen AT LEAST once a week from now on because I don't believe I can trust it (but I'm not ready to drop $100 on a new pen just yet). I've added pictures to show the fan leaf damage.

**Wednesday 3/17/2021 - Tuesday 3/23/2021** Despite my efforts the plant still seems mostly healthy. It is pounding nuts so hard and I am starving the plant. Near the end of the week I started upping the nuts. [Update - 3/19/2021] - So far I've been doing my weekly water changes on Wednesday morning. Wednesday evening I made the decision to FIM (photo included). After FIM'ing I felt like my SCROG was set too high off the plant. I used to have a much larger grow space in the past, and would veg for longer than most people to get higher yields. I came to the realization that with my limited space I needed to rethink that strategy. Also, after adding that toat to cool the bucket off I was having an exceptionally hard time with water changes. Water changes will only get more difficult as the plant gets larger. I went to the hardware store and bought some more stuff. I lowered the trellis exactly 5". I think (and hope) this will work in my favor. I also had the idea that a lower trellis would work with Auto's, which I'd like to grow in the future. To fix my water change issue I used some garage storage racking and three peices of wood fastened together (picture above). It's not a perfect solution, but it's certainly better than what I was dealing with. [Update - 3/22/2021] - So somehow, fuck I really missed. The FIM did not go as expected and the plant kept growing up. I topped it this morning. The pictures I uploaded are from late this evening. Really didn't work out in my favor. This means I'll have to LST the main cola's from the top. I don't think I'm going to have as even of a canopy as I could have otherwise. I also have small brown spots here and there on some of my leaves right now. Will need to research and keep an eye on that. [Update - 3/23/2021] - This morning I am digging around and lo-and-behold I find my FIM. It shot off to the side like a side branch. So one of the side branches became the "main" branch I had mistaken for the FIM continuing to grow up. I ended up topping what would have been a probable monster cola if things all work out. Hopefully I didn't nuke it to much. Really feeling like a putz right about now. The plant is pounding down nuts so hard and I'm not used to that. I think what I'm seeing is a phosphorus deficiency. I let my nuts drop below 680 (low 600's, even high 500's at one point). From my prior experience I've never needed to add nuts back between weekly water changes (or maybe that is just what I thought at the time). This plant is drinking so much I think that is what is different. I made sure I was sitting at 680 this morning. I'm convinced it is not PH at this point as I just re-calibrated my pen yesterday and it was only 0.1 off. I've been keeping my PH consistently in the 5.7-5.8 range.

**Week of 3/24/2021 - 3/30/2021** I am changing things up slightly. I've been doing time entries on Wednesdays after my water changes. This would technically be the 1st day of the following week, so instead I'll be making my weekly entries on Tuesday nights to wrap up the week. Going into my first week of flowering I was feeling more confident, but then I really started to notice the tips of my new growth looking light yellow, almost white. Additionally, I was getting small rust spots on fan leaves here and there. I dug through about three different plant sick guides and came to the conclusion that it was most likely due to me not using CalMag. Very early in this grow I was getting some leaf damage and twisting, and at the time concluded it was mostly due to the CalMag as my overall ppms were very high for being so early in the grow. I was using full strength recommendations from House & Garden as well. I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I am using R/O water. When I was getting this leaf damage early on I did some digging around online and came across a post with a guy having similar issues and someone attributed it to using a CalMag supplement along with the full line of H&G nuts. This dude said he'd been growing with ONLY H&G nutes for years without using a CalMag supplement. I honestly can't remember if this guy said he was using R/O water or not. The fact I can't remember means he probably did not mention this. Well, I probably should have done some more research instead of stopping there because not much later I found that ph was probably my #1 culprit and something was getting locked out. At the time I thought it looked like phosphorus damage, but my ph pen was reading much higher than the actual ph (0.5 off). I was sitting at about 5.3ph thinking it was 5.8ph. However, phosphorus wouldn't be locked out in low ph like that I believe. PH issues would also jive with the leaf twisting. I recalibrated my pen (and do it every week now), and got the ph issues fixed. So long story longer, I am assuming that the whitness and light colors I'm seeing on the new growth might be a possible iron deficency. The rust spots on fan leaves are most likely a Calcium deficiency. I'm not sure if I'm really seeing a Magnesium problem. I added a new 16" fan this week. I'm getting alot of moisture between touching leaves, and this is my solution. Also, I have a dehumidifier on the way along with a controller for it. My humidity has easily been sitting above 50% this whole week, and I need to get that under control before this lady starts fruiting. Last thing here....Last couple days I'm really getting busy with training the plant under my ScrOG. I looked back through all my previous grows and it just so happens every one of them were very Sativa pheno's....very stretchy. I was also using lights with less lumens than what I'm rocking now. This plant it's just growing totally different than anything I'm used to. It's such a shrubbery. I'm wondering how it's going to fill my screen out.

**Week of Wendesday 3/31/2021 - Tuesday 4/6/2021** To start, I would like to say that the CalMag has turned the issues around I was seeing last week. I am seeing more vigorous plant growth as a result. Most of this week I've been playing around with trying to keep the temperature and humidity in check going into flowering. I started buy purchasing a humidistat controller and a very cheap peletier dehumidifer. It was pretty much like pissing in the wind, and I had to bust the unit open and hardwire it to get it to automatically turn on when power was applied. I ended up sending that junk back and purchased a 20 pint dehumidifer. I first put it in the tent, but overnight it brought my temps to over 80 in the tent. I pulled it out and put it in the adjacent room. I think I have a pretty decent system now for keeping the humidity down. I know I can for sure average 50% average humidity no problem. I have been keeping it under 50% pretty steadily this week though. I don't want to get to crazy while it's still stretching but it should be starting to bud here soon. Lastly, I'd like to say shit is getting freaking busy up in that ScrOG. There is just so much going on it's hard to place a growth in a good direction it's so crowded. In a way that is a good thing with so many potential bud sites, but I am worrying about it getting too crowded and amplify bud rot issues. I am still getting moisture between a few leaves here and there. Otherwise I think this week has been an improvement, and I'm very excited to see where I'm going to end up after the third week of stretching!

**Week of Wednesday 4/7/2021 - Tuesday 4/13/2021** A lot of things happened this week. Mostly defoliation. I did two heavy defoliations: 1) Wednesday 4/7 2) Monday 4/12 In hindsight, I should have defoliated way earlier...or at least when I went 12/12 three weeks ago. Anyways, the plant seems to not be showing any major signs of stress and now all my buds are getting much better lighting. I've never defoliated before so I was very nervous about this. Then like a crazy man did two heavy defoliations less than 7 days apart. Hopefully I didn't hurt my yields too much. Like an asshole I broke the top off of nice bud too in the process...uhhgg I didn't do the best of jobs with my ScrOG. I think it should have been lower in hindsight. I've only grown sativa dominate strains so far so I was expecting a much bigger upward stretch instead of the bushing out this plant has done. Things are pretty much set in stone now. All I should be doing is clearing leaves here and there that are problematic. Things are very cluttered so it's going to be tricky. Overall, I think this was a good week and I'm learning things.

**Wednesday 4/14/201 - Tuesday 4/20/2021** I started to see signs of tip burn this week in the newer growth. I was afraid I was running to hot with the nuts, and now it is confirmed. I think I definitely made a mistake running the recommended 5ml of CalMag this week. My reasoning for going that high was the white tips I was seeing in the new growth. Additionally, I believe the recommended A+B mix at 9ml is definitely on the highest end. I found an older DWC chart for H&G which recommended 6ml as apposed to their new chart showing 9ml for week 4 of flowering. I will definitely be lowering my nuts for week 5. I should probably flush, but I'm not going to for now and just keep an eye on things the early part of week 5. Due to me not anticipating the way this plant was going to grow, and that my trellis was initially too high, I clearly didn't do a good job getting it setup this grow. When I resized the trellis during this grow, it created slack in the chicken wire, causing the middle of the plant to grow higher than the outsides. Now my middle area is maybe 4" or more high than the outsides of the plant and my lighting isn't optimal to those areas. I will definitely be changing how I do my trellis for my next grow. I've got what I think are some good idea's, but I need to put them to practice in my room to make sure it works how I want before I start popping beans. I think one of the biggest hurdles doing a ScrOG with Hydro is where to put the trellis. I think my idea of attaching it to the lid gets the job done, but it is not ideal. Moving the trellis around in the tight space I'm growing is a recipe for damaged buds. In the future my idea revolves around a semi-fixed trellis that doesn't move the whole grow, but I will still be able to do weekly cleaning of my reservoir/bucket. In addition to my 5 Gallon bucket, I'd also like to be able to facilitate a 10 Gallon tote for growing two auto's at a time, or maybe two 3.5 Gallon buckets. We will see what I can come up with next grow. I have defoliated this week 4 days in a row starting Friday. I didn't take as much off during each defoliation as last week in hopes of not stressing the plant. I probably took around 30 leaves a day roughly. This thing is just shitting out so many leaves I'm torn about how much I should be defoliating. Everything I've seen so far says I can defoliate through week 5 of flowering. I will probably defoliate again in a few days from now. I did a bunch of research into PAR, PPFD, LUX, etc. Based off of that research, I dropped my light to 14" above the tallest buds on Thursday 4/15. By the end of the week it was more like 12" above as they had stretched. I used a LUX app on my cellphone to get a rough approximation of what my real PPFD was, and I don't think I am at risk of light burn even at 12". After reflecting on this, I think my current light will be perfect for auto's, but currently is sub-optimal for photo's. I will probably be growing auto's for the forseeable future.....until I get an Electric Sky ES300 that is 😁 That is definitely a ways off though, and like I said the PB2000 should theoretically be more than enough for auto's in my grow room. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, I'd say I got about 2" of additional stretch this week. I believe this is because I vegged the plant longer than probably 90% or more of DWC growers veg. If my screen had been another 5" or more lower I probably could have swapped to flowering faster. I was wanting to go for maximum harvest though. I'm not sure what I've done this grow is going to acheive that or not. My ScrOG is a total cluster, and I'm hoping I can avoid any kind of mold/mildew/rot. I'm running my dehumidifer even more now, but it is creating higher temps. I'm going to have to keep playing around with that.

**Wednesday 4/21/2021 - Tuesday 4/27/2021** This week I dropped my A+B nutes from 9ml/Gal to 6ml/Gal and CalMag from 5ml/Gal to 2.5ml/Gal. This is also the one week of using Top Booster. From here on out I'll be using Top Shooter to finish. Overall this week has gone pretty good. I did some medium defoliation on Thursday and Saturday, and took a leaf or two here and there in between. I've been able to keep my humidity in pretty decent shape overall. You'll notice I started taking pictures with my light off later in the week. They do look better that way for sure. I don't have the greatest camera and I'm certainly no photographer. I can't really think of anything else to say really, just keep on trucking to the finish line!

**Week of Wednesday 4/28/2021 - Tuesday 5/4/2021** I did some more deep dive research this last week regarding nutrients. I went down this path because I really didn't exactly know what I was doing when adding additional nutes not in the H&G lineup (i.e., CaliMagic & Liquid Karma). Early on in this grow I started out with issues and deduced it was the CaliMagic. Later on I started getting what I thought was a Ca deficiency so I started adding it back. At one point I even went to the full recommended 5ml/Gal which is really hot, and in hindsight I think was the beginning of the tip burn symptoms I'm seeing. I came across some tools I could use to get a more accurate breakdown of how much of each Macro and Micro nutes were in my particular solution. It would seem that H&G is very high in Mg. Adding CaliMagic put Mg significantly higher than where it should be (based off a common list nutrient value obtained from Purdue U.), especially for DWC. I feel kind of frustrated with H&G because I just can't find a detailed breakdown of what micro nutes are in their lineup. I was only able to use what was on the bottle, the volume, and the bottle weight to make my calculations. The listed ingredients on ALL of their products only show N, P, K, and Mg. I know in the Aqua Flakes A it uses Calcium Nitrate as a total of it's N, which would lead me to believe there is SOME Ca in there, but I'm not a chemist. All of their mixing notes say that they used R/O water to obtain their recommended values. Arrgggg. With all that said, some of my top fan leaves closest to the most intense part of my LED are getting what looks like Calcium deficiency again. However, I'm starting to suspect it's actually Calcium lockout because between the high H&G Mg levels and adding in the CaliMagic had me at 99ppm/L of Mg. Purdue's chart is showing common levels being 30-70ppm/L. I'm thinking this is probably my issue. Therefore, for week 7 of flower I have dropped the CaliMagic again. I do have half a addback Gallon that I've got 1ml of CaliMagic in that I will be using, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be adding anymore from here on out unless things go south. I feel like my bud mass should be further along by now, but what do I know???😓

**Week of Wednesday 5/5/2021 - Tuesday 5/11/2021** I am making this post a little earlier than I have the last couple weeks because I'm taking pictures (primarily) in the mornings right after the lights shut off at 0800. Also, I doubt everyone wants to see the ridiculous amount of pictures I'm taking over the span of the week. I'm going to cut it down to the latest set of pictures. I'm doing the picture taking mostly for my references (future grows). The "possible" Ca lockout (due to too much Mg) has progressed further in the fan leaves closest to the most intense part of my LED. However, after dropping the CaliMagic from the equation I do believe that it has slowed down or maybe stopped. I'm still not 100% certain on that. After dropping the CaliMagic, I decided to add the Liquid Karma again. I did some calculations with it in my solution profile, and it looked liked a good idea. I also chose to add this back because some of the ingredients aid in plant stress and nute uptake. Per Barney's Farm, I should be at harvest by next Wednesday the 19th, but I don't see that being the case here. I'm not trying to bust Barney's Farm balls here either. I think this is a combination of it being a 7+ year old seed (closer to 8 years), how big I let it grow in veg, and my shenanigans. Right now, I'm estimating harvesting close to Memorial Day (Monday 5/31/2021), but I'll just play it by ear (or trichome). That would be pretty cool if I harvested "Liberty" Haze on Memorial Day though😎 I'm just hoping this lady puts on some more girth!!! She is filling out now finally, but I think there is a ways to go for where I'm hoping she gets to. I went back and looked through some of my old grows, and in comparison I should be further along by now. I've also been comparing pictures with other Liberty Haze growers on this website and I'm clearly behind the 8-ball right now. Funny story, I see my Blue Widow picture I grew from way back when (circa 2010) on all the Seed vendor websites when I was using a T-5 ballast and Ebb & Flow😳 That was when I was doing grow logs back on a website called cannabis.com which has seemingly disappeared. Keeping my fingers crossed here! 🙏

**Week of Wednesday 5/12/2021 - Tuesday 5/18/2021** This last week I've had a lot of personal stuff going on (or it's come to a climax this last week, but been the last month), and haven't had as much time to dedicate to documentation. I can barely keep my head above water with how much shit I've got on my plate. Anyways... I didn't take pictures every day, which is a bummer. I also did not do a water change this morning. The reason being that I've ordered a battery powered liquid transfer pump because I'm tearing shit up every time I do a water change. I should be getting the pump today so I will be doing a water change this evening....I hope. My PH has been dropping pretty heavily for two reasons I believe: 1) The first part of the week my solution was way to hot. The plant is responding better (PH-fluctuation-wise) in the low 600 ppm range. 2) The plant is pounding down at least 1 gallon every 24 hours. I should be doing a water change closer to every 4 days instead of 7. Heck I'm not adding quite 4 gallons total with the size of the root ball (which I think may be part of why my starting ppm was high) I'm still seeing the tip burn/nute-lockout/whatever very slowly progressing. This may just be the natural progression and nothing I'm doing wrong. However, I do believe the PH issues outlined above could be contributing. Looking at picture comparisons in the last week she is still very slowly bulking up. I'm not sure her buds are going to get quite to what I was hoping for so far. All trichomes are clear, and hardly any red pistols so I'm thinking she is going to go out to 10 weeks in flower. This means I've got 2 more weeks left, approximately. I'm hoping by doing more frequent water changes (without having to move the ScrOG) will help the situation. I added some "light's on" pictures as a comparison to "light's off." You can see the leaf damage a little better.

**Week of Wednesday 5/19/2021 - Tuesday 5/25/2021** So first thing is that I'm kicking myself in the ass for not getting the battery pump sooner...it's made water changing a breeze. My workload hasn't really gotten any better unfortunately so I'm still swamped with other shit going on in my life. My PH has been steadily dropping no matter what I do. I dropped the Liquid Karma this last week mostly to lower the overall ppms, but it really had little to no effect. I'm wondering if this could be the large size of the plant and small reservoir (just shy of 4 gallons), and at this stage there is no "fix" to my dropping PH issue. The pistols are roughly about 40% red right now on most of the buds. The trichome situation is mostly cloudy, maybe 10% or less clear, and 5% amber as of yesterday evening. That being said I will be harvesting this coming Memorial Day weekend on Sunday 5/30. I am going to start my flush with R/O water this evening. I was really hoping the buds would bulk up more, but I still think I will hopefully get a respectable harvest. It's really hard to say though because there is a lot of bud sites I just can't see due to how many leaves are in the way. I'm not sure I'm going to really get much quality or respectable size from these bud sites, however. The buds at the top though are quite dense. I think with how much larfy stuff I am seeing, I will probably get a decent amount of hash. If you notice in most of my pictures there is what looks like a large bud on the left front of the closet. That is one giant larfy bud, and there are two below it I've never managed to capture in pictures. This will be my first attempt ever of making hash and I will be using the dry ice method. I will be freezing the larf and trim overnight and then making the hash the following day (Memorial Day). I will be wet trimming and hang drying individual branches. Thankfully I have someone that will be coming to help me do that job (for a generous reward of course). Welp, I can't really think of anything else to say for now!

I harvested on the morning of Sunday, 5/30/2021, right after the lights shut off from their 12/12 cycle. It took a solid 5 hours to wet trim between two trimmers. We hung it up and I froze all the trimmings in a ziplock bag in the freezer overnight. The morning of Monday, 5/31/2021, Memorial Day, I made the dry ice hash. Here are the stats: 73 micron - 10.5g = 0.37oz 160 micron - 52.86g = 1.86oz 220 micron - 50.81g = 1.79oz total = 114.17g = 4.03oz The evening of Friday, June 4th, I trimmed the dry bud and put in jars. Here are the stats: 184g = 6.49oz Please NOTE: I am adding the hash weight to my total dry weight of bud. Also, my square footage for my ScROG is 43" x 23" = 6.87 ft squared. That puts me slightly over 450 grams per meter squared, which if I'm not mistaken is close (or right on) Barney Farms advertised average harvest weight. I'm VERY HAPPY with those numbers!!!! Especially considering my budget light, and cramped space. I did not get a wet weight, because I don't really care about that number, and after trimming for 5 hours it seemed like too much trouble. 6/8/2021 - I jarred my bud when the small buds broke off clean. The larger buds were still completely bendy. However, since I've jarred the bud the humidity in the jars has not gone over 50% humidity. Therefore, I've ordered 62% Boveda packs and should have those in my jars in the next few days. Once they are in, I will do at least a 3 week cure from that point before I try any. I will probably just wait for at least 4 weeks though. I will update this diary again when I smoke the bud in about a month. 8/13/2021 - This is a lessons learned warning that I should have had enough common sense to figure this out before I made this mistake: Making hash with fresh cuttings. This would have worked if I had made Rosin, but I do not have a Rosin press. My hash started to mold after about a week or two. I was able to somewhat salavage it by making butter mints out of the 220 and 160 micron hash. I'd never made butter hash before and started with the 220, which I overcooked and it tasted like a bag of assholes (I ended up tossing the majority of it). However, my second round of butter mints with the 160 micron hash turned out excellent. I feel like it was a giant waste of the hash regardless, but I will definitely be making butter mints in the future. Each butter mint was like taking a solid bong hit, and they tasted very good. Soooooo....In the future I will either dry harvest or at least dry the cuttings next time around before I make hash (unless I get a Rosin press).
