Germinated in Purple Cow starter mix in 10x20 propagation kit with heat mat under an 18 watt 6400K 1080 lumen T5 fluorescent bulb.
She popped after 3 days.
I transplanted her to a Vivosun 1 gallon air pot filled with Purple Cow IndiCanja and moved her to the Veg Room 24 inches under the MarsHydro TS600W. I raised the light up to about 27-28 inches. I hope she likes it.
She seems to like it better farther from the light. I also lowered the RH to 60% for her. I’m considering giving her nutrients when she gets a little bit bigger. I’m currently out of Recharge or I would give her that. It’s on the way so I’ll take the decision one day at a time.
She’s growing well but I’m going to start her on nutrients when she next needs water. She liked the nutrients but her leaves are oddly shaped. I hope she outgrows this deformity.
After some feedback it seems she has a genetic mutation. I’ll continue to grow her out. I knew this was going to be a more advanced strain to grow anyway. I’ll just have to give her extra love. She’s going to be interesting to see.
I clipped her big mutant leaf because it’s stem was thicker than the main stalk. I want the energy to go to the top growth and not the mutant leaf so I got rid of it.
These "funny" leaves happen from time to time and generally the plant will grow normal leaves soon enough and could grow the odd "funny" leaf from time to time and completely randomly. It will not affect yield, potency or affect growth greatly.

She’s looking better since I cut the mutant leaf. She’s growing more ’normally’ for the time being. No sign of any more mutations for now. She’s almost ready to transplant to a 3 gallon.

She’s adjusting well so far.
She’s growing really well now, with big 9 fingered leaves. I started her 2 lowest branches on 90 degree training. She’s adjusted well. She’s going to need more training and clipping as she grows.
I think I’m going to have to flip the lights soon. She doesn’t have all that much room because she’s in a little room but I’ll train and trim her as she stretches.
I trimmed a bunch of her leaves in anticipation of flipping the lights. I want her topped colas to grow out a bit before I flip though.
She’s filling in nicely. By the end of the week I should be able to flip the lights.
I switched the lights over to 12/12. I can’t wait to see what she does!

I definitely notice a difference since switching to the Prescription Blend nutrients. The pistils have increased in size and amount. So far so good!

She has a very strong smell that’s hard to describe but makes my mouth water. It has an amazing strong flavor that lingers in your mouth, and it leaves my fingers sticking together.
She’s not the biggest plant I’ve grown but her buds are very dense, incredibly sticky and smell amazing! I should get just over 2 ounces from her, hopefully.
Finally finished trimming. Total dry weight: 41.31 grams, 1.48 ounces. HiGrade rating: 25% THC
Not the highest yield but not bad for an experiment with questionable genetics.
Thank you for posting this. I am just starting up a crop of this and it is the weirdest thing I have seen. Very lettuce-like, like in your third week. It took a lot of effort to find seeds so I am really hoping it starts to look and behave like a more normal plant.
How are you feeling about your harvest? Was the quality what you expected? Will you do it again?

Your diary looks great! It’s impressive that it’s your first time doing this and it’s looking pretty successful. I won’t say no to some stable BW seeds although I probably won’t be able to actually grow them until next summer. I may be able to set up a second tent and get some photos going but it will take me a while to do that as well.

She's outgrown all the weirdness and is now a frosty delight. I think I am about 3-4 weeks out, and I'm not rushing it!
I am also making some F4s from this if you want to do this one again, I'd give you some.

I also had trouble finding the seeds. I couldn’t find them online from the original cultivar but I randomly saw some in a dispensary in Maine so I bought them because I figured that was better than not having any. When I had those weird issues at the beginning of the grow I figured that the genetics were the issue (like maybe they hadn’t back-crossed it to stabilize it or something). As the plant grew, the issues went away. My harvest wasn’t the best it could have been (because of lighting issues I had some light burn) but it was still pretty good (better than I expected). I would definitely grow another one but I’ve been focusing more on autos and the BW is a photo strain so that’s why I haven’t done another run.
I hope your plant(s) outgrow their weirdness like mine did and you end up with a fabulous harvest! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Happy growing and many bountiful harvests!

I tried the strain at my dispensary and loved it. I looked to buy seeds online but couldn’t find any. Then I found the seeds at a dispensary in Maine, purely by accident, so I bought a bunch.

The seeds are from Tricann dispensary in southern Maine. I wanted to buy Captain’s Connection but couldn’t find any online. Then I went to a new dispensary and they had seeds for sale. I think it’s their own genetics but I’m not sure. I’ll have to ask them next time I go.
