couple quick questions

Do I need to close the flap to the vent during dark cycles? (Lights off during the day) and should I block lights coming from fan power, humidifier, dehumidifier, or indicator lights?
Also do I need to use the carbon filter the whole time?
should I ever have the exaust fan off?

Hi!
During vegetative growth it does not matter if you have light leaks 'cos the plant can grow even 24hrs lights on but during flowering you want to eliminate EVERY light source in the tent 'cos basically everything that is brighter than the moon (Except green light 'cos it does not matter at all in right spectrum) might prevent your PHOTOPERIOD plants from flowering or make them hermies.
Now that you have autoflowerin strain it should not be that important to prevent light lekas 'cos autos will flower no matter the lights but just to be sure i would still eliminate all the light leaks etc during the dark cycle.
If it is easy for you to install and uninstall the carbon filter I suggest that you start using it only when you need it 'cos with this you give that carbon much more lifetime. And why use something that is totally unnecessary?
Exhaust fan is good to keep on to circulate the air and keep fresh air in the tent but it should not be a problem if you shut it off for an hour or so if the temps in the tent wont get too high!

Hello.. Hope you are well.. U dont need to close vents during nite but if a hassle to get to (will b wen ur plants a large if velcro inside) just cut a bit of card to pop over the outside.. This will also stop light leaking out as much.. As for ur power lights just pop a bit of gaffa tape over them.. NEVER turn ur exhaust fan off.. This will pull out any stale air/heat and small amount of moisture.. U only really need carbon filters on wen plants are flowering.. Personally i just keep mine attached and leave it running until end of grow.. A gud built fan will av no trouble with these needs.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀

You definitely want to close the flap to prevent any light leaks, however the lights from your equipment shouldn't effect your plants. I'm a newb so I could be wrong there.
It'll be easier to just keep the filter on throughout the process. You want to always keep the fan on to continue bringing fresh air into your tent, I tend to turn the intensity down when they go lights out.

How do you deal with the humidifier in hydro ?So I bought a dehumidifier as advised but now the room gets hotter (Had to setup an extractor to pull the hot air and now I have no intraction) and during the day EC goes up of 0.1 or even 0.2 (from 1.8 to 1.9 or 2).
