There are a few things you need to keep in mind
First of all if your not adding extra co2 you don’t need more than 600w hps light, this is the max light they can consume without extra co2
If you go for an 400w hps you could combine it
Second thing is there are 3k cmh and 4K cmh
If you want to add cmh to hps for the full spectrum I would go for the 4K,this is a full spectrum cmh which is more on the blue side used mostly for veg
If you add the 3k (full spectrum red)your are just adding more red
The one thing you could say is beneficial in both bulbs is the uv light
And keep in mind a 315w cmh is almost as powerful as a regular 600hps especially when your fixture has an overdrive mode to 380w like a dimlux cmh
I did my first runs with 400whps and a mars reflector 96 (185w) for the full spectrum and it worked great but since a few weeks I’m running a 315 cmh and I have to say it out grows the combo light even with 200w less power consumption
I’m so happy with it i made the transfer to cmh in al my tents no more leds or hps for my cmh al the way
One thing I must say is be careful with the uv spectrum of the cmh
It can cause skin burn and it’s adviced to use some uv protection for your eyes
Happy growing and stay safe

Looks like you should just go all CMH, from what i see. it is basically the same spectrum in the reds and more, if not mistaken.
efficiency and cost would need to be considered, of course, but based on spectrums that's what i see.
if there's a benefit from teh different spectrums mix, it's good... yes, i'm sure people have don it. they have mixed mh-hps befoer to the the blues and reds together.
I don't know the spectrum of CMH... if it is too similar to HPS it would only benefit by increasing the total light footprint compared to just a 600w hps.
