hi there.. yes it's absolutely normal that the "pistils" (it's actually the stigmas) turn orange and brown.. depending on the strain they might go purple or another color.. The stigmas is what creates the seeds if it's being pollinated, and when the plant waits too long without being pollinated, they pretty much "age out" and shrimple up. Given that we don't want the stigmas to get pollinated (unless you want to create seeds), that's just how they evolve.
