I am concerned at the large crack I found near the base of my plant. I have this plant tied down in several spots and I'm assuming that is what caused the cracks. Is there anything I can do or should do to to minimize the damage? It's been tied down for about 12 days now.

Well you can, Bend it with tape, wire, tows anything to keep it together, your plant is getting heavier in the following Weeks. give her something to lean on , bind her on bamboo sticks, give her spalieres, anything that she can lean on and giving her weigh to the sticks. give her a corsage out of an old fence anything you can do that she can lean on.. happy growing

Hi @GreenthumbCBD, what a beautiful bush you got there! You can use some duck-tape or electrical-tape to wrap the broken part. Then add support with bamboo-sticks into the ground and/or strings pulled to something above the plant, in order to relieve the broken part from too much weight. Remove all of your bending tools, let her breath and rest. Protecting her from the wind might be helpful too. Keep us up-to-date, and happy growing 👊

yeah that can happen when you grow outdoors like that and you can't really turn your plants every so often... it's grown kinda wierd but hopefully it will be okay when the flowers get fat.

I would provide more support around the base of the plant....and maybe tie up the branches to relieve the weight on the affected area....other than that It should solve itself, although your flowering time will likely lengthen. It looks as if the sheer weight of the main stems is pulling on the Manifold and literally tearing it apart.
