Since the AK-47 is autoflowering, do I just leave the lights on 24/7? 18/6 from the beginning? 12/12? Switch schedules between veg and flower? Thanks.

Hello @burnerac! I always use 4/20 light cycle for autos but thats depend on you . The more hours the lights are on the bigger the yield. Although i wouldn't recoment a 24/24 cycle. Every living creature needs to have some rest. Also i don't thinks its worth it to make anything less than 18/6! Happy growing !👊

hey there I started with 24/7 but switched down because i kinda over did it but i would still suggest 24/7 but maybe with veg lights, then switch on your bloom lights and throw a nice resting period in there. What's great about autos they dont really get light leakage stressed, but they're still seedlings in a way so too much light will stress them out too. Maybe vary the intensity, go lower to higher, same with the lamp to plant distance and enjoy the veg !

Perfect Light for your Ladies are above 18 Hours and under 24.... You can let them run 24/ 7 too. I did it.. but now i prefer the 20/4 or 22/2 Cycle more, because the plants can take a Rest.. and I think anybody should have Time to rest. Give them enough space for the roots after Germination. Happy growing and keep us updated.

Personally I like growing my autos under a 20/4 light cycle. I keep them under that light cycle for the duration of the grow. Works great for me. Good luck 👍

Autoflowerings are part Cannabis ruderalis, which are native to more northern latitudes, meaning long summer days and short summer nights. So considering that, your safest bet is 20/4 light/darkness cycle. From there on you can try and experiment with other light schedules. I wouldn't go below 18/6 if you are worried about your electricity bill. Make sure you track down any changes you see and any changes you make. Happy growing! 👊

Some people do a 24 hour light schedule and some plants handle it well. However me personally, I think plants do well with with some dark period. Ive had plants that responded poorly to the 24/0 and got burnt leaf tips. whether you choose a 20/4 18/6 is your opinion, but i wouldn't do less than the 18/6 with an auto, and that can be for the whole life of plant. During the flowering phase however if you were attempting to push the plant to mature more or faster, you could possibly go to a 15-13 hours of light. Happy healthy growing, hope your 2nd seed sprouts. ✌️
