Hey there just keep building diaries that have harvests and smiley faces. For newbie is does have to be your 1st ever grow but you can be either newbie or apprentice status. Everytime you complete a diary it'll pop up and mention joining the competitions. For grower of the month theyve changed things often, but essentially go answer peoples questions the best you can and gather as many points as possible and the top 3 points win. Just click on the "Giveaways" link on the top left menu. Inside there click on any of the giveaway's you are interested in. If you have a diary that is able to enter then underneath the title banner on the right side (above where is says "prizes shipped" and "participants" and "days left to join") it will have a green button that says "Join Now". This button will only appear if you have a diary that qualifies for that giveaway. Most of the give aways you need to have a harvest, and the diary and only have a single strain in it. So for this diary here that you have going you have 2 strains in it so it won't qualify for a lot of the giveaways. I know it's stupid, I'm just a fellow grower I have nothing to do with the operation of this site. Good luck and I'd love to see a fellow Canuck take some prizes home. Good luck and good growing!
