pistils are a very weak correlation to thc production. it won't help much at all. the trichomes, on the other hand change colors specificaly caused by the degerdation of THC (white to amber is degerdation of that molecule.. entropy... inevitable over time) you cant zoom in enough on those pictures. Gets too blurry. it does look nice, whether ready or not... but the human eye can't tell you want you want to know, even if someone gives you the answer you want to hear.

Not yet. No. If you zoom in real close to the last picture you can see the trichomes (just about) and they are all clear, soon they will start to fill and go "cloudy" and then eventually start to go amber, this is when you want to flush and harvest. When they start to Amber. 👍🌱

That's not the pictures I wanted to show, not sure what happened. I guess people will have to look at diary to see the 2 that have a lot less white hairs, or I will have to remove the question and ask again. I don't know how to edit or add pics here. Computer illiterate, sorry.

On the pictures it looks like the pistils and lots of them are still white and shooting out so that means you're not ready and thc has not completely form and looks like you may have way over a week patience is the key if you buy a magnifying glass Jewelers 40x . the cheapest available and you look at the trichomes directly you want to see between 10 and 30% amber that's your window for Harvest .anything later and you have lost too much THC anyting earlier than that and you risk not having enough THC. I hope this information helps you out good luck with your garden

Hi there! The best and probably only sure way to know the ripeness of the buds is to look at it with magnifying glass. You can buy jeweler's loupe from amazon/ebay etc and they are pretty chep. Get one with led light and atleast 60X magnification. When you check the trichomes you dont want any clear headed ones but only cloudy/amber ones. Cloudy has more THC in it and amber has other cannabinoids and this will affect the high a little bit but general rule of thumb is this: 30%amber and 70% cloudy with 0% clear ones.

need a cheap jeweler's loupe or usb digital mircoscope etc. can read up on all the sugestions on when to harvest and what it will do to the high, but you should do your own experiments if you grow the same strain or clones again. try a couple days later, if you harvest early etc... Earliear will avoid breakdown of thc, but may miss out on some thc development etc etc.. you need calculus and many data points to know for sure... :)

Not yet!! Look for 20-30% amber trichomes on the buds not the sugar leaves. I'm hardly seeing any amber maybe a week or so left. Happy Harvesting!
