Any tips on scoping trichs? I have a pocket scope with a LED on base and super shaky hands. What and WHERE am I supposed to be looking? I know it’s too soon now (day 39 of 65ish) but I wanna figure it out before it’s too late. Any tips/tricks much appreciated!

Hi @BlackThumb! The trichomes onto the buds (don't look onto sugar leaves) should have changed from thin & clear / transparent to fat & milky / cloudy / opaque. Once you'll get only milky trichomes, the harvest window is open! For an energetic high, harvest before the first amber trichomes appear. For a couch-locking high, you'd rather harvest once 20-30% of the trichomes have turned amber/red, you'll get more CBN/CBD but less THC. From what I see on your last pictures, I think you still have 3 to 4 weeks to go. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and enjoy your harvest 👊

Hello @BlackThumb ! What you need to check is the trichomes and you need to take sites as all the parts of the plant do not mature at the same time unless you did a nice training. Harvest at 80% milky 20% amber for a mind effect and 80% amber 20% milky for a body effect. Oh and @Stick, degradation of THC doesn't give you CBD. While all the phytocannabinoids comes from the same precursor molecule ( CBGA )THC and CBD comes from a whole different synthase procedure.CBN though comes from the oxidation of THC after THCA has decarboxylated. Happy growing ! 👊

Check bud photos on google. See those white dots that give them a frosty look? Those are thricomes, what you want is for most of them to look white / cloudy; it's not easy to tell between clear and cloudy, you'll need a bit of practice. Once your bud's calyxes swell, you will be days from the peak thricome maturity. In case you don't know, calyxes are where, if pollinated, seeds would form, in the photos they look like small balls on buds. Hope that helps

Hello ! So you are supposed to look at the trichomes which are like little mushrooms under your lens/scope with a "head" that can be clear , milky and amber and like "frost" on the leaves and buds when you don't use magnifier. Your are suposed to look at them on the buds and the sugar leaves : try serval budsites and sugar leaves. For your hand shaking issue I have no good advice so let's tell : try to stop breathing like snipers does when they take they shots. Hope it will help you 😁👍
