Hi there!
LST is very simple technique 'cos you can start it early or late and the results are pretty same. I suggest that the plant should have atleast 6 nodes before starting.
The idea is to bend the main branch down to promote the growth of the lower branches and this is happening because of the plant hormones
When one branch is top it has auxin and when you bend it under the other tops the auxin transfers to other branches to give them sign to be the new tops. This is why LSTY workjs like it works

Can I continue to tie down LST'd stem to horizontal or is there increased risk of breakage?I tied down seedling plants 24hrs ago and they have straightened out much more quickly than I thought. My plan was to have the tied down stem elongate past the rim of the pot then allow it to grow vertical. Can I continue to straighten the stem 😄 or are they set like Jello? 😔

Growing a plant across a tent using LST rather than into a bushI’m growing two auto flowers in a 2x2 tent. Because of the small size of the grow space my idea was to put a pot in each corner of the tent and then try and train them to grow across the tent rather then just into a bush if you follow me. What about poneytailing leaves for better sun penetration instead of trimming them ? (kinky post)It probably exists but I've never seen it. I poneytailed leaves instead of defoliating them, since it's their ultimate food suppply. Mostly the big ones not near the buds, can I do that on the main bud leaves ? Anyone uses this technique ?
