Yes, as Boston girl wrote, growing two plants in one pot is not good at all, they will compete for everything, root space, nutrients, water, light,- everything.
Instaed of getting two plants, you end up with two half plants.
Separate them now before their roots get entangled and they still have a good chance to keep growing as though nothing much has happened.
Your training is ok, but I too usually wait a bit longer, until they are 6-8 inches tall before starting, this gives them a chance to really get going before having to deal with adversity such as what LST is.
