watts my led?

I emailed the supplier of this light on Saturday. Got a response this morning, they say its only 13watts. Only supposed to be used for propogation and cloning.

as far as the "3000 watts".... This is a common lie. "like 3000w" is what it means. or 1000 or 1600 etc...Wiith cob led you can guesstimate ~45w or so per and they advertis 200 or 300 per. ebay and amazon have a lot of stuff that can work even if misadvertised, and it's good not to buy anything fancy your first run. once you know what you want to do, upgrade it. After a few grows you'll have a different perspective on that. somethign sure seems off on your purchase though. 12 w is usually not advertised as 3000. i'd complain... if in time period, send it back.

.3A x 40V = 12 Watts > 80% efficiency, so a few jouls of heat too.

If there is only one LED driver then it says on it 8 - 12 X 1W - i wouldn't expect it to be able to power much more than it states on the driver. The spec sheet actually says LED Bulbs power - 13.8W - so if was me i would go with that figure. Hope it helps

My whole set up was from a kit I bought from ebay that was $280.. which included 2 led lights.

Difficult to find out. From information on the stats would say: bulb power x number of bulbs = 3100w but there's no way with a 45 cm coverage. With a 45 cm coverage think looking at closer to the 1w per LED math. 225w

Watts is Amps x volts, so if I’m reading this right then 240v at .3a is 72 watts.

Hi there! If I know anyhting about electrics then input of that driver is 25-85w and the output of that driver is 12W and it says on the specs led bulbs power 13.8W Is there more of those drivers or just this one? I might be mistaken here but best way would be to measure how much power it draws from the wall for real to see the power. I dont think that lamp is good by the looks of it..
