Hi there, i have some white stuff on the fabric pot and was hoping someone could point me out to what it is and if it will do any harm to the plants? I'm thinking it could be a salt buildup or something like that? Please advise, thanks

That’s normal for a fabric pot , it’s just the salt from nutrients. Solution wash off after use.

just mineral buildup. heck, i got a little algea on an old one about to be harvested in a week or two, LOL... looks fine. it's fabric, so as the water evaporates, the solutes are left behind. I wouldn't try to rinse it off while it is in use - probably cause something whacky in that local area nutrient-wise. Ignore it.

Yes you are wasting expensive nutes washing out the sides of your planters long before it reaches the bottom. Nute companies love those crappy sacks. Got to use more to reach the bottom so more money in their pockets. If you start seeing little brown spots on your leaves you probably have dry areas in your root system.

It's Calcium buildup probably from hard water, that or salts. Do you leave your water out for 24 hours before watering with it? or use reverse osmosis? or even a carbon filter? if not these are good solutions to that problem.. Hope this helps! Happy growing! 👊
