Erm depends do you want too stress your girls in the flower stage ? personally I find it tempting fate when it comes to herms. So I don't do it at all after I flip. I use netting to spread the plant out move it rather than cut it. depending on how you have trained her. she will shed the crappy leaves herself she knows what she needs and she knows what she can do without. Alot of growers will say you can defoliate right up to 6 weeks flower. though I have never done it myself if the buds are getting light thats all i care about and if you have a some what level canopy and under canopy. You willl get proper light distribution and evenly sized colas the right way through. At the end of the day everybody grows differently and its very hard to get the that even canopy in my experience so if you want to defoliate my closest advice would be no more than 3 weeks into flower then you seriously end up stressing your lady. though this is dependant on the type of defoliation you are doing if its just fan leaves then you can take them off at any stage if you wish. bottom branches and bud sites are really where you would stress her to a point she may slow down on you or try to make seed instead of bud.

forgot to mention pruning off useless growth - part of defoliation. up top, anything that can't grow into 'something' in 2 weeks. down below, visualize a line and clear it -- great for air flow, easier watering. again, at ~14 days, don't have to do this again, typically. I err on side of leavinve some larf, because i like a little extra bubble hash fodder.

snip with clean / sanitized trimmers. leave at least 1 leaf at any node. light hits leaves, buds just happen to be nearby... which is the goal.. local ATP production from leaves instead of relying on it from further away and less of it - i.e. less development in that area. i'd wait until ~14+ days from 12-12. That way you only do it once. Some will grow back but smaller, so a bit of room for error too. If it can be good bud, increase light... light as several levels throughout canopy without losing canopy coverage.

I prefer to do it up untill the end of the third week. And really it's a preference. As a big guy I prefer to snip as it's easier for me to get in small areas that way. The wife just plucks them off by hand. Hopefully this helps! Happy Growing! 🤟😜
