TOPing (or FIMing) an auto is a matter of timing. As long as it is done at the appropiate time, it will work and have no adverse effect. The issue here is that the window of oportunity is very narrow. It must be done above the 4th node, removing the 5th pair of leaves, before they fully open; any later and the plant will have entered flowering stage.I have a diary on a sweet skunk auto that was FIMed that you can check for reference here on GD

Remove lower branches on this grow?Should I just remove the lower branches or keep them? They are getting pretty heavily shaded but I rotate the grow bag daily to expose the under canopy growth.
