Hey! I noticed a lot of ants dead on my flowering plants. I can't find any study online about ants and thc. Anybody with the same experience? Today I "saved" one and it was extremely slowed down. Can ants die of thc overdose?

The critters get stuck to the triclomes and simply die like gnats do on sticky traps. Cheers

Ants, along with Bees, and most neuron-gel filled insects do not have endocannabinoid systems. As far as what is killing them, the resin is sticky and can greatly inhibit their mobility, terpenes are pretty interesting chemicals, most are a loose form aromatic hydrocarbon, however this isn't a blanket statement for that, but they could definitely cause insects troubles, terpenes are used to kill and repel insects frequently, the terpene Citronella for example.

Yes even tho it's not obviously the THC but it can also be the terpenoids, I often see dead things on my plants, it's normal it is how the plant used to defend itself ages ago, with smells and sticky thingy. I have read that potatoes are carnivorous, maybe cannabis also is and feeds on the corpses attached to the trichomes :)
