hello! fastbuds recommends to tie down the side branches to increase yield, but for an auto is it not better to just leave it alone? I am lost. Zamnesia gives no recommendations. I'd like to get the most out of both my plants

Despite all my read fears about toping, lst or defoliation with autos, it all works !!! But ... You have to know what you do, when and what for. I use fat wires for first waves of Lst, later thinner. Found that fatter is softer and softer is less stress for young branches. Have my First and last Auto diary. You can check, i lst different strains of autos with great success. Work with plants when they are thirsty and water with plain phed water after. If you have any doubts, msg me, its always good thing to share and ask. Happy growing !

It all comes down to preference really. I top, lst and super crop my autos because I have a small canopy space available. If you leave natural you'll have tall and small colas on the same plant which may be a light height/distance issue?

Hey I've had some pretty big autoflowers so I would do some lst, even if all you do is tie down the main stem it will still make a more flat canopy and open up more sites to stronger more intense light. As long as you're gentle and don't tie them too tight where you might break any branches. Happy growing.

Autos grow faster without stress, recovery time and they may be wanting to flower already. Cheers friend
