What are the downsides to harvesting too early? My trichomes were turning amber at week 7 so I harvested. Buds seem great, but without a proper dry and cure it is hard to say. I have sampled the bud which is almost fully dry and I like it already.. But what are the potential cons
like

Yield, taste, and potency. Harvesting time also has a lot to do with the kind of effect you get. The one hit knockout stuff is 50-70% amber trichomes. The "I'm gonna clean the whole house" effect comes in between 10-20%. I don't believe curing with change your potency, but it will make it taste better.

Potency... Terpenes flavor.. All are lower in an early plant.. did you see amber on just the sugar leaves or on the colas?

Can I snip the end of leaves at 3 weeks?Is it okay to snip the end of 3 week old leaves off? Reason I ask is because I have seen it done on a diary where the point of the leaves are snipped straight. Also one plant has suffered from light burn on the end edge so was thinking I could do it here if it will help growth.

Read an article about cutting back to the cambian layer on an established stem and pinning it to the ground to create another root stock. Made me think...Had a cone and got me thinking.
