Just coming upto 8 weeks in flower...was expecting another week or 2 but when I checked the Triches they now appear to be turning Amber and mostly milky! Perfect time?? Thoughts please!

Also check the trichomes daily, as they can surprise you and change rapidly.

You want to wait until 10% of the trichomes are amber. 20-30% is generally recommended, and for that you're probably looking at 10 days more. Some people even wait until 50% which will give you a very strong body effect and probably put you to sleep. 10% will go all to your head. 20-30% is a healthy combination.

Drying stateI’m not sure if the buds of the plants that where indoors are good or they not drying well.
I have the grow room temperature varying from 18 to 21 degrees
But I’m not sure if the buds are moldy or even how moldy weed looks like.

How long lasts drying?How long is average curing? I keep reading different things. Somewhere between 5-14 days. Can I leave mine drying for 14 days while I am away? Bud rot harvest?Bud rot or normal purpling underneath? First grow and harvest and found some purple when cutting off the fan leaves before hanging to dry (going to dry trim). Anything I should be looking for in particular. I don't see any other signs of mold.Week 12

Watering and darkness before harvestI've been giving them just water for 2 weeks but I only let them get about 10% runoff. I want to put them in 48hrs darkness but not if they've just been watered. Looking for opinions: flush to 80% runoff now and harvest on Wed or leave them in darkness and cut them down on Wed?5y ago

Wet trim and get the kief?Is it worth it to pause the drying process and wet trim?
I am mostly asking this since I read it's easier to wet trim and I can hopefully extract some kief from the sugar leaves with a grinder in the process.
What are your thoughts, leave it as is, or get that kief?2y ago
